  1. Holy *****, I’m betting the Bears! From Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) Sold!
  2. You can't advance it on an onside recovery unless the receiving team has full control and then fumbles...but yes that still could have been a disaster. I think there's two extremes and they weaponize going to the extreme against the other side. In this one, raising concerns about the coaching staff means you think they're horrible and you should be able to come up with a name of a coach who would be better and prove why. I personally don't think they're necessarily horrible...but I don't think it's an above average staff either. I think #17 makes up for a good chunk of deficiencies. McD's game management is not good, and I think he's going to have issues against offensive minds like McDaniel that are creative. His game management is also still not good, and in my opinion he cost us a Superbowl last year, and made awful decisions in the game the year before vs KC too. I don't think we would have won that game anyway but that doesn't change what we saw from him. I do have concerns about us getting over the hump with him here, as I would with most mediocre staffs. That doesn't mean I blame him for every single thing that goes wrong, but I'm going to be pretty nervous again if we're in the playoffs in a close game if he can make the right moves under pressure. So far he's been terrible in those situations.
  3. I didn't understand the timeout with 7 seconds left at all. I actually maybe thought he was out of bounds because that would have been the only good explanation. Why even leave the kickoff to chance like that? Imagine if we had lost on a return when we could have made the FG the last play?
  4. If we win a SB it all changes. It'll still get mentioned, but possibly not as much and it'll feel different.
  5. Exactly. McD should have been sure this guy was ready and got a sense for what his plan was. He's not ready at all and it might kill a precious season of Josh in his 20's.
  6. I agree, it’s just frustrating to watch some of these other teams with vastly inferior QB’s have OC’s that can dial up some nice high percentage plays and do some creative things to move the chains, and we don’t seem to have any of that. We’re ultimately 8-3 because Josh is one of the best, but Dorsey has done far from maximizing what he has to work with.
  7. He doesn't have a star QB, he's trying to slow it down for him knowing he only has these 2 possessions. I kind of get it. The penalties hurt them. Daboll's doing all of this without a franchise QB though, Jones isn't going to be his guy.
  8. It's kind of scary to think about how we could stop an offense like the Cowboys if it ever gets to that, especially if they add OBJ too
  9. Good playcall, just bad execution. Daboll's a good coach, I do wish we would've kept him and let McD go.
  10. If Von has to miss a couple of games or so that's fine...just please don't let it be a season ender! Who on there suggested it's an ACL?
  11. #17!!! It’s been a rough time for him but that was a major gutty last couple of drives. Dude is a champion. I don’t feel the same way at all about our coaches but hopefully we’ll always have a shot with Josh!
  12. People will blame injuries but if you’re really watching you can see coaching is a major issue. Other teams have better coaching staffs, #17 covered that up for a long time. Now that he isn’t, they’re exposed.
  13. I’ll take the luck. We need to put it in the end zone so bad here.
  14. I’m nervous that he’s gonna throw a pick on every play, he’s so bad
  15. Gotta put it in the end zone here and assert ourselves. Takes some pressure off the struggling D too.
  16. It’s just so easy. We’re literally going to have to score on every drive.
  17. How are people only blaming Frazier and not McD?? This is McD’s team and defense. He’s the one who hired and kept Frazier all these years. The playcalls are within McD’s defense, and if that’s an issue he can take over at any time. He’s had years to fire Frazier if he wanted to. He doesn’t. He’s the one that’s responsible.
  18. I don’t think we can get a stop without a turnover. We just have no way to stop them for 3 or 4 downs.
