I actually started to feel a little hopeful before remembering this shortly after

OK, who hired that complete loser OC that doesn't have the skills to coach a pee wee team and then brought him back for year 2? Who had oversight seeing what the plans were for the offense this season and what the playbook looked like? Who has had the ability to make a change or give his input or demand for anything to be changed that he doesn't like? You guys act like McD had no idea whatsoever what the offense was going to look like this season. And if that's true that he didn't...that's also a major problem. It's on him either way. McVay's been to two SB's, won one, and hasn't made major coaching gaffes in 4 different playoff exits....and he's done that with lesser talented QB's than the one McD has. I think it's a little bit different.

Yeah, a lot of it is coaching. He was a mess and their coaches have helped him turn it around, he's been really good since the 2nd half of last year. Their schemes and play-calling have been top notch. Their guy is improving...ours is declining. And ours is more talented. You don't see something wrong with this picture?

This is McD's coordinator, he brought him back, he knew exactly what the playbook looked like and what the plans were for the season. He's the Head Coach. It's on him. I'd say the same for the Campbell/Ben Johnson situation itself. It's not all Ben. Campbell has input or the choice to have input if he doesn't like something. He's ballsy and not afraid to be creative. McD could learn something from that. He's doing this with Jared Goff, not a top 3 talented QB in the entire league.

That's an easy problem to solve

Good for the Lions and Campbell and Ben Johnson. Great creativity, use of their resources, and balls. Everything I wish our coaches had.

Campbell and Johnson are a great duo. The stones Campbell just showed is something McD would never do. McD would've tried to draw them Offside and wasted a timeout and took the FG, and then have his D give up the TD to lose the game.

These offenses are so fun to watch. Wish we had something like this.

We have the most predictable, vanilla offense in the league. Just the way our predictable, vanilla Head Coach wants it.

The Giants should put in Barkley. DeVito is just non-competitive. I can't believe after watching this guy at Syracuse that he's starting NFL games.

So can we hire Ben Johnson already? He's doing this with Goff while McD and Dorsey don't know what to do with Josh Allen.

That’s why McD blowing it 2 years ago with 13 seconds just hurts that much more. It was the beginning of the end.

No...but he also skirted that question, as always. He's got answers, many I don't agree with, but he's got answers for every question except the big Daddy Trump one. Whatever amount he's risen in the polls from has basically been from the DeSantis pool. He's afraid to go after Trump and can't give a compelling reason for why a Trump voter should vote for him instead when he calls Trump the best president we've ever had. The whole "because I'm young" thing doesn't work because they just say "OK, we'll vote for you in '28 then and we bring back the GOAT for '24". He's not wrong about so many of these other people being puppets...but it is hypocritical when he is one himself for Trump.

So I understand the position from Conservatives on abortion even though i don't agree... But I don't get their thing with weed at all. It's not even as bad for you as drinking alcohol and alcohol leads to many things that weed doesn't. Also if they claim it's not a big deal...why not just let it go and legalize it? If you're so annoyed that you lose votes because of it, why hang on to it for really no reason whatsoever?

It's a great post and I've been pounding this in for a while now. I do think more and more people are finally waking up here though.

You think McD being uninvolved in the offense is an excuse, I don't. That's what this comes down to. He's the HEAD COACH, he's not the defensive coordinator. The offense IS also his problem whether he is involved or he has the wrong people running it. That's what you don't seem to understand. You think McD should be completely absolved for whatever happens on that side of the ball. It's like you don't understand what a Head Coach is. Also, that very idea that McD should have no clue whatsoever on what's happening on offense is flawed in it of itself. You think they go into a game and he's just totally surprised but what the offense is doing? That he has no idea what the gameplan is or what they're working on? That's a huge problem if that's the case. And if he does know and has done absolutely nothing to influence any kind of change, that's his fault too. It all comes back to the Head Coach, that's why they are the Head Coach. And Dorsey was here last year, McD had a chance to evaluate him. He brought him back. Again, on McD. All of it is. I would love for you to explain how I want Dorsey "absolved" when I'm calling for both to be fired. I also wanted Dorsey out after last year. I don't have a bias here, you do. You're willing to bend and twist whatever it takes to hold McDermott unaccountable. The guy hasn't put in any work to improve his shortcomings for over 6 years now and still makes the same exact mistakes and is now completely in over his head when his roster and QB aren't bailing him out anymore. Do you think as a complete team that we're getting better and climbing upwards?
