The free agent safety market is unbelievable
BuffaloBillyG replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was pretty deep last year as well IIRC. GMs are turning the safety position into the same type of value the RB market has been placed at. -

Wow. This is breaking news INdeed -
I have heard the whispers that he was being held back because he was in John Butler's doghouse, not McDermott's. If that's true I expect to see him given an opportunity to be the third boundary corner and make a few spot starts for injury. Perhaps the feeling from the new defensive coaches had something to do with Rasul being restructured instead of extended to see what they truly have in Elam before investing further. Play on the field from what I've seen has been up and down. Has given up catches and penalties. However has made a few splash plays as well. I learned the lesson last off season not to rush too fast to judgement from the Bernard situation. I'm just hoping we finally see him get the snaps on the field to see what's there. I expect him showcased a bit in the preseason.

Justin Simmons released (now visiting N'awlins)

I mean, would be nice but I'd figure him to be way over our price point for the position.- 204 replies

Don't really need a starter at CB. Much more likely to see Dane Jackson back.

For me, it comes down to having some confidence that if Trubisky were pressed into having to start a few games that Joe Brady can put a plan in place to win a game or two with Mitch at QB. While wins are NOT a QB stat, teams he's played on are 39-33 in games he's started. That doesn't scream "we're automatically doomed" to me.

How does today compare to Black Thursday Feb 10, 2000?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Livinginthepast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, that was one of the worst days of my Buffalo Bills fandom. I had moved temporarily to Wichita, Ks. Was working the overnight shift in a dispatch office and flipped on SportsCenter as I did every morning right before getting off work. Saw it come across the bottom line. Was absolutely gutted. That was the core of the team I grew up with. Gone in one tick. That was the day I learned not to get attached to players and root more for the laundry then the individual. Tough lesson at the time. -
He played a lot better later in the year. Versatile. I don't mind it pending the actual numbers. Today is freaking bananas.

Who's Hardy?

It was McD and Whaley that dug up those diamonds. Beane was still in Carolina.

Cool. So now we are allowed to schedule in advance when we will be trolling the board.
-
At the end of the day, the Bills and Brandon Beane made a lot of HUGE moves to distract us from seeing they brought back a 💩 Punter.

Darrynton Evans did some work there last off-season. He's signed to a futures deal. Maybe they give KJ Hamler a shot there as well.

Sad to see. Love Tre. Good dude. Sucks Business side: We will get that savings June 1st and should still have the opportunity to use it on a vet EDGE rusher. Market is still usually flush with them that time of year.

First move of the day I do not like. Hopefully he will have competition in a rookie.
