  1. That would be a huge loss for them. Phillips is really talented. He's just never been able to stay healthy.
  2. I keep looking at these Jet fans when they show the crowd. Broken, defeated and out a ton of money to watch a QB named Boyle play. It makes me so happy.
  3. The thread OP asked nicely to let it go. Please respect his wishes. If you care to discuss further feel free to inbox. If you can't handle a simple polite request a message board may be too complex for you. Thanks.
  4. Yes, I agree he would be. But lack of protection, run game and a competent OC would all have hindered him beyond useless IMO.
  5. Wouldn't have mattered much. That OL is a joke. They have no running game with on obviously slowed Hall and a washed Dalvin Cook. And Hackett's play calls are more predictable than Dorsey's were. All the Rodgers injury did was give Saleh and Douglas a free pass for this year because I don't think their record would be much different with him.
  6. This game has Stefon Diggs name all over it. These CBs can be picked on and he's due for an explosive performance On defense...I went with Rasul Douglas last week and I'm going to let it ride with him this week.
  7. While you're most likely correct, the one caveat we can throw in is that when it comes to divisional games teams know each other well and sometimes it's a different game than expected. I don't think anyone saw NE beating us earlier in the year either. Being this one is played in Jersey it could have the same vibe.
  8. I actually double checked and your numbers seem to be wrong. Hurts has 5 fumbles and 3 lost. Could you post a link to where you're seeing 9 and 5? Also, I never said it was THE deciding factor or even my deciding factor. You asked why Hurts was getting more MVP talk than Allen. That is a reason why. That's now twice you have tried to twist what was said or straight up ignore what I said and create your own narrative. We can agree to disagree, but there is no need to try and lie or move goalposts to prove a point. Have a great Black Friday, my dude.
  9. I agreed, he's not at Josh's level Here's the thing, it's 2023. There are MANY different ways and styles to play the QB position. Bringing up that he has a bunch of 1 yard TD runs and he's not a RB is just super lazy and outdated thinking. I would again question how much you watch him if you can't bring up the throws he can and does make. And yes, the talent and coaching around him helps. It's the same reason we as fans have been desperate for Allen to get more help, right? It's the same reason so many here want McDermott ousted and bring in an offensive minded coach, right? You, I'm sure, expect when Allen is discussed that TOTAL TDs and his running game are incorporated into his stats because that's what makes up his skill set, right? Why is it any different for Hurts? As far as MVP goes, there are 2 main reasons Hurts is ahead of Allen by most counts in the race right now. First the obvious, turnovers. Really hard to make a case for someone to be MVP when they are at the top of that list. Second, team record. Now, I personally don't think that should tie in but that's a whole different topic. But it does and always has. Also, most MVP odds I see Allen is in the top 5-7 right now. So to say Josh is getting no MVP hype is just wrong.
  10. Honestly, wouldn't shock me if he's with the Jets again next year. Only this time behind Rodgers and another vet backup. And I don't think it's Saleh's or the GM call either.
  11. Doesn't have to be. Just has to know where the ball goes and get it out. Less than 2.5 seconds. The one thing that does work in Boyle's favor is he's been in that offense most of his career. I don't expect him to be great, but he may be just good enough.
  12. Well, you aren't wrong about the Jets OL. Bad play. Lots of injuries and I believe Becton is out today...he's actually been pretty solid this year. Another thing that hasn't helped that OL is Zach hanging on to the ball way too long as well. If Boyle can get it out quicker that would help the Jets OL out a LOT.
  13. If that's your comparison I have to question how many Eagles games you have actually sat and watched. I've been a Hurts fan since Alabama. Watched him a while now. He is in no way any kind of version of Tyrod. Now is he better or as good as Allen? Absolutely not. But he does fit that offense well and with the weapons he has he's a very dangerous QB to face.
  14. If Boyle can get the ball out on time and where it's supposed to go, the Jets have a shot. Miami has a great offense...but last 2 games it's only put up 20 and 21 points. Jet defense coming off being gashed last week should be ready for a rebound. I think this one has the potential to go either way.
  15. I don't mind Dak. I think he's a steady player. He's a high effort guy. Makes the plays he should most of the time, but really doesn't add anything invaluable. I have him a step above game manager but below elite. He's above average, but in a world of not so great QB play above average lands you in the top 10-12 every year.
  16. He's averaging 40 attempts a game because they are routinely playing from behind. That helps.
  17. I'd think the Cowboys win this in a route, but I thought Detroit would motorboat the Pack. So not sure what to think. My prediction: Everyone will complain about the halftime show and Sam Howell will take at LEAST one sack.
  18. Buy- Joe Freaking Brady. Yup, it's one game so far, but if that's the way he called a game after not doing it for almost 2 years, sign me up. Sell- Taron Johnson. I know he's good, but he's really had an unimpressive season to me this far. I'm out while there's still some value here. Hold- Flame away, but Von Miller. We are back to Thanksgiving, one year from the injury. He's still coming back and still is coming back. 2 weeks from now he's going to look different. I'll take ALLL the Von stock.
  19. Of course none of those guys help when Goff starts playing like a turkey
  20. Same. But the Lions can put up a lot of points really fast. Good day to have Amon-Ra in fantasy.
  21. Packers/Lions on Thanksgiving is just elite. This matchup, however is not. Lions 27 Packer 16
  22. And Zach Moss looked like a bust playing for the Bills. He's shown more than capable on that mess of a franchise. Difference is when he was here, Moss was often injured. But his injuries healed. The stuff that Leonard suffers from...doesn't. He's a permanently broken toy at this point.
  23. Man, there are so many ways this game could go. I can legitimately see the Bills winning this one. But there isn't a huge margin for error here. Have to win the turnover battle. Have to keep penalties down. I like Philadelphia. I'm a fan of Hurts. He does a lot well even if he doesn't do anything spectacular (being pushed a yard doesn't count). I like their defense. They have the more likeable Kelce. But that coach is a clown. A Kliff Kingsbury level punchable smug face. I think the Eagles suffer from a day less to prepare and come down a bit after an emotional MNF win that their coach acted like it was the Super Bowl after. Calling the upset: Bills- 23 Eagles- 20
