  1. Oh I agree. They will. Everyone with an opening is going to. But only 1 team will get him (maybe not even that) and I don't think it's gonna be Chicago.
  2. Vrabel is exactly the type of coach I see the Bears hiring. If he can bring a good OC with him. He's a culture changer.
  3. Let's not act like we haven't been playing good defense at times and winning football with him in the line up. Prime Hyde wouldn't have made much difference last Sunday. I strongly disagree with it being as simple as "misdirection" that tore the Bills up. They have no issues with it when they play Miami twice a year. The big issue was matchup. The Bills play a lot of zone and the Rams top two WRs are zone destroyers. As long as their line protected well (they did) and Stafford was sharp (he was) the matchup was about as bad from a personally standpoint as you can draw up. Hyde standing in the secondary doesn't change that
  4. Who said anything about throwing stats away? Are you trying to be edgy or do you really need simple statements broken down for you like you're 5? Because on this board it could easily be either. Let me know how to better provide an answer for you. Thanks
  5. And at this point of his career I think that is a mistake.
  6. Poyer was indeed terrible blast year and is incredibly unpopular with Dolfans because bof his continued poor play this year. That much I agree with Yes, Hyde plays smart. And experience is a valuable asset. But once the ball is snapped you need physical tools to cover a player or the speed to get to your spot in the zone in time. He didn't have that last year. I doubt being a year older has improved that. He can still have value. But I think his best value is teaching players like Hamlin and Cine and Bishop some tricks of the trade rather then pushing them back to the bench.
  7. It's further evidence that stats alone don't tell the whole story. A lot of damage Burrow and Chase make is straight up stat padding after the team is behind and they are in comeback mode.
  8. Hyde couldn't cover anyone last year. He would have been an even bigger liability yesterday. Older and slower isn't what this defense needs
  9. Individual probability is not 80%. Show me where you get that figure. And as of a few weeks ago, the success rate was 30% this year on 2 point conversions NFL wide. You are inventing numbers. Inventing a narrative. At this point I'm going to disengage because your whole argument is based on made up facts and bull####.
  10. I think we were hoping in the spirit of the holiday season Puka would take the 4th quarter off and stop the public abuse of our defense. He did not.
  11. Do people think he just comes in and keeps the same coaching/players and just runs it back? Say hello to Matt Patricia running the offense. Maybe he brings his idiot son to run STs or something.
  12. You set the likelihood of converting 3-4 straight 2 point conversions in the same game...at 80%????😂😂😂 League wide the success rate is about 30 percent. And that's just on one...not 3 or 4 straight.
  13. And the broadcast showed league wise the onside kick conversion rate was 7.7%.
  14. See, now that's why everyone likes the Treehouse Elves better. They promise cookies, you get cookies. Santas army of red covered fibbers are probably Chief fans anyway.
  15. The math does add that way but the likelihood of getting 4 straight 2 point conversions is probably far less than even the probability of recovering an onside kick.
  16. Decorated the house for Christmas. It was the first day the damn Elf on the Shelf was back. I blame that witch.
  17. I was convinced that Smiley was gone after last year. He should never have been back. I don't know anything about our Assistant STs coach, but maybe it's time to give him an audition over the last month of the season. Smiley is not it.
  18. Maybe it's just me, but Oliver looks like he's put on a bit of weight. Causing him that explosiveness he would have from time to time. That along with Daquon Jones turning into Star Lotulelei this year is killing the inside of the line.
  19. If you aren't sure, I think a better way of phrasing on my part would be that at least Williams has at least entered the conversation for who should be starting. Which is a far cry from where he was this time last year. If it's me and I want to have a team that wins today and wins in the future, I play the ascending player over the older vet.
  20. To me it's a double edged sword. I don't believe players should lose starting positions to injury in most cases. But over the course of the year Williams has earned that spot IMO. If I was Williams or even another member of that defense I would be a bit out out that the guy starting and playing well for the most part is riding pine so that Milano can get his sea legs. Though I will say Milano moved a bit more freely yesterday as opposed to a week ago where he was doing an excellent "Weekend at Bernie's" impression. And we are possibly going to do the same thing with Hyde in the coming weeks.
  21. And what do estimate the chances of that happening yesterday? The reason we stopped them on their last possession is because the Rams were ok with running the ball to get us to use our last 2 TOs, run the clock down after. Has there been a minute left and we had 3 TOs. They were 1 Puka reception away from icing the game anyway. This isn't saying that taking that first TO was a good idea. It wasn't. They could have rushed the line and spiked the ball or went back to the Plow. Minimal time lost. But the real culprit yesterday was the inability to get off the field on 3rd down the entire game. And when they converted that late 4th down it was ballgame.
  22. He hasn't locked down a spot over Benford or Douglas and doesn't offer anything on STs. He doesn't have a role.
  23. Puka Nacua is the Josh Allen of WRs.
  24. He could have run and picked it up there
