He certainly was 2 years ago. Is he still capable? How's he going to play when he comes back? Is it a hit the ground running or a physically not the same situation? All questions that we don't know the answer to. The road to the past of the NFL is littered with players that were once great and injury took them down. Could it happen to Milano? Maybe, maybe not. But December/January football isn't the time to find out. Sure use him if we must. A few situational snaps here and there. But if Williams is playing well, healthy, and the defense is in sync, you stay with the hot hand and figure not out later.

It's more than the cold handshake. There's also the report from the Brian Flores lawsuit that Daboll was willing to leave even if it was a lateral transfer just to get away from McDermott. And seeing how things melted down with Wink Martendale in Jersey...let's just say it's not had to buy that wherever Daboll goes, tension follows. As far as the who else...I am not sure who would be available next season, but on staff right now are a few guys I could see getting interviewed for the spot. DJ Mangas, Ronald Curry and Rob Boras come to mind. Heck, Kromer has had OC duties before as well. So I would guess that's where the search would start. -

Nothing is certain in life. But I am as close to certain as can be that Daboll will not be back here. That bridge has apparently been burned. -
As crazy as this may sound, when Milano comes back (If Williams is still playing at the level he is now), then Milano is depth. A healthy Milano is better. BUT, coming back in December plugging him back in can disrupt the flow of the defense. If they are rolling with Williams in there...keep it set and let them complete in TC next year for the starting spot This also allows Williams to get a full slate of snaps and build to him being the eventual starter at the position long term. No. They would be basically subbing Milano (or Williams depending on how you look at it) in for Taron, who is an elite player in his own right. We don't play primary Nickel because we don't have good linebackers. It's largely because Johnson is too good to take off the field.

Dallas can't stop the run...so Daboll of course dials up 40 pass plays. Such a Daboll move. -
She is so insufferable.

Coach Daboll would like a real QB. -
Week 4, Bills v. Ravens, PREDICT THE SCORE!
BuffaloBillyG replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
We are likely to have a few losses this season. This seems like a place where it could happen. I think it will be close throughout but I see the Bills suffering their first loss of the season here. Ravens 27 Bills 23 -

And the Ravens had 3 starting OL as DNP today due to injury. I like our odds. -
Barbara needs to weigh in on all the topics.

So, he's arrived?

We need to bring Matt Barkley back just to watch him jam out to this.

Week 4 - Bills at Ravens Game Week Thread

When I was watching the Baltimore/ Dallas game I saw how the dynamic between Henry/Jackson is so deadly. Especially on those read option plays they do. Dallas would key on Lamar only for it to switch at the last second and get steamrolled by Henry. Likewise, they would bow up to stop Henry and have a Corvette slip past them. Gonna be tough to defend. -

Gonna be a tough game. Gotta play a clean game penalty wise. -
It's his scheme. As long as McDermott can get pressure with sending 4 primarily, he has the scheme in place to shut down offenses. Players are pretty "plug and play" with what they do. There's a long history of him being able to take backups and castoffs and then being the best version of themselves here. No Hyde? No Poyer? No Milano? No problem.

Week 3, Jagoffs v. Bills, GAME BALLS!
BuffaloBillyG replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know about a game ball, but maybe we send a fruit basket to Duval Barbie. We couldn't have done it without his performance. -
How are we feeling about the next 3 weeks?
BuffaloBillyG replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't love that all 3 games are on the road against 3 physical teams with loads of talent. I do believe that the coaching staff will have some good game plans to shut down that Ravens rush attack, the Texans talented WRs and a Balanced Jets offense. We need to play clean ball. Execute, keep the penalties down and stay patient on offense. Ravens and Jets defenses seem to play well against Allen historically.
