  1. People will hate on Hamlin for simply making the team.
  2. The real question may be...why aren't you?
  3. As long as they not only KEEP the train whistle...but make it 10x's louder.
  4. We had a statue until Drew Bledsoe left town...
  5. In fairness, he's made plays against everyone back there... including Benford. That's reassuring. Yup. We have always needed that guy on defense. Someone who can wreck a play at a key time. I really believe that Bosa, when healthy is that guy. He's the closer we needed Von Miller to be.
  6. For the limited amount of snaps he was out there, Bosa was a straight up demon. If he can keep that come the regular season teams will have to focus on him more and that should open opportunities from Oliver/Groot and the youngins. I thought our two young DTs showed well. Honestly, I don't see any reason why DaQuan Jones lasts as the starter over Sanders. The big concern I have coming out of this game is Landon Jackson. He has a LOT of work to do to get better IMO.
  7. Of all the opinions following a preseason loss ..this is one of em.
  8. Doesn't seem that long ago when a 50 yarder was a big deal. Now these kickers make that distance routine. Though I will say back in the day kickers seemed to be more accurate. There's always weeks during the season while watching Red Zone they will cut to like 4 or 5 FG attempts and we see miss after miss.
  9. Honestly, the failure that's was bigger than either of these was not making the playoffs for 17 years. We had some real solid defenses at times during that streak. I can't call winning 4 AFC championships in a row a "failure". And Allen's career is far from over and is currently providing the most entertaining era of Buffalo Bills football in the entire existence of the franchise.
  10. Yes. Based off what I've seen today and read about TC...that is my assessment as to where I see him now. Doesn't mean it wouldn't change over time. I hope it does
  11. Jackson would have to VASTLY improve before being on AJE'S level. And I'm not a huge AJE fan.
  12. Ciarlo also added a couple of nice splash plays. One on STs and one on defense. He's definitely in the mix for a PS spot if I'm making the call. Shavers was in for a lot more snaps then Keon. I'm not panicking quite yet. Coleman has looked good in camp. He's still got time to carry it over. Preferably when Josh is in there.
  13. Fair assessment. I also thought Shenault quietly had a solid game as a WR. His hands on the 2 point conversion were solid. I think the ST coverage units also showed very well today. Lots of energy and some good sticks. Absolutely LOVED the frenzy Bosa and Milano showed. At RB, Davis didn't make anyone miss Cook less. But man, Little Gore is fun to watch with the ball in his hands.
  14. I can't disagree. I too would feel more comfortable if we had 2 All Pro level safeties playing behind him. Mask more of the physical limitations he has these days. But, unfortunately, we have what we have. It's going to be up to the staff to scheme him some extra help sometimes and the pass rush to make sure he doesn't have to cover for too long.
  15. I thought White was ok. All the passes on him were on plays in the short area in front of him. He didn't get beat over the top and was a willing tackler. Something he really wasn't in his first sting here. I think if he can keep plays in front of him and be physical, he will do ok.
  16. Things I liked: The new young interior DL looked solid against the run and made some plays. Gore Jr. He didn't do anything eye popping but I love watching him play. Solid football player. 3 WRs I thought showed well today. Shenault quietly had a solid game. Great hands on the 2 point conversion. Shavers with the long grab showed some great separation. Wilkinson...kid just has to get the feet in. Personally, I liked Trubisky today. Very steady performance and took care of the ball well. Bosa/Milano. Both had some plays early that were magnificent to see. If they can stay healthy, they are going to be a HUGE problem for offenses. Some things I didn't like: 3rd down. It's been said over and over that the Bills were vanilla on defense. They were. Giants were vanilla on offense too. In games like this it comes down to just beating the man across from you. The Bills defe did not do that. Landon Jackson. Ok, granted he lined up offside on the one play. Bad error. But not my biggest issue with him. He played very soft. Got escorted upfield and past the QB on several rushes. Couldn't come off his blocks. He was shoved around very easily today. He need work on both strength and techniques IMO. TE3. Davidson should be cut before dinner.
  17. Yup. Tough, gritty, never say die. Still SHOCKS me that Elway passed on him and took a LB in the draft. Biggest mistake of Elways career IMO.
  18. Bayer's snap causes Bills Headache
  19. John Elway has always been my closest comparison. Strong armed. Mobile. Sometimes a bit unorthodox.
  20. Tasker trying to talk himself into it being a fake punt and he couldn't even convince himself...lol
  21. Bills STs has looked pretty solid today. Some solid pints, good tackling.
  22. I think the Bills should have both of the PED guys playing deep into these games. Not that I wish for injury, but if they twist an ankle or pull a hammy we won't have em for 6 weeks anyway. I'd expose them to the extra snaps over guys we need those first 6 weeks to replace them
  23. I actually am in the small margin that likes Tommy DeVito. I wouldn't want him as QB2. QB3, maybe.
  24. The Ciaro kid looks pretty solid. Thought Wilkerson, Shavers and Trubisky looked good on offense. Then new interior DL guys were solid. Bosa is a STUD when healthy. Landon Jackson....WOOF.
