  1. Didn't quite understand the Mayo hire to begin with. The word was that in the building the "Patriot Way" was dead and BB had run his course. So they move on and hire a guy that has only played for BB and coached for the Patriots. A lot of the staff, a lot of the systems is just the same. All they really did was get rid of a mountain of knowledge and experience. They had a chance to get away from the way it was and reboot which is what I think they should have done.
  2. A GMs job is to check in on these rumors. And Beane does a thorough job of it. Always has. It doesn't even necessarily mean they were interested in Adams. They could be calling to see if there was insane value. He could have been calling to assess the going rate on a top flight WR in the trade market. I would promise you that more often then not when we hear a player wants a trade....Beane checks it out along with most other GMs. We of course hear the "Bills have in interest" because technically they picked up the phone. And most of the time when we hear what's going on in a potential trade....it's either information released by the players agent or the team to drum up business. Why would they mention the Bills for this one? Well the Jets are rumored to be the hot spot. Maybe they give up more to keep him from division rivals. It's a smart play. L
  3. I think with Shakir our another WR needs to step up. I liked the way Coleman played in the 2nd half last week. Finished strong and hopeful that carries over to this week. Or will they run MVS more and give the deep ball look they haven't really featured yet? In the contest of the tortoise vs the hare...the Tortoise wins. Coleman and slow and steady is my pick. On defense, I think both Rasul Douglas and Benford will have some opportunities this week. I like Bedford to shut down his man a bit. I think Rasul is going to be responsible for some big plays both for and against. I have him snagging an INT this week, but also taking a chance and missing on a long Collins TD.
  4. Pulled his hammy doing his My Little Pony dance is my bet.
  5. Let's see... Bernard Johnson Rapp Miller Oliver Milano Am I forgetting anyone? The only positive here is this is happening early in the year and not in the playoffs. And it does give our backups real snaps and experience for if they are needed down the road. Doesn't help much in the moment as I expect the Texans offense to roll easily. This game could be uglier than the Ravens game IMO.
  6. See, now this is the very reason that there shouldn't be language filtering on this site. Because the only proper response here is "Well *****"
  7. No, I do not want to trade for another weapon. I'd like our OC to design plays for the last 2 guys we drafted with our first pick the last 2 years. If Brady can't get Coleman and Kincaid involved why does anyone think any other WR we brought in would be used well? It's not like he's designed all these plays for them and they can't catch the ball or something. Especially being Brady has Diggs here last year and went away from using him. Guys like Adams are 170 target a season dudes, and that's not what this offense is geared to anymore. And my personal opinion, I think we are a bit more than 1 WR away from Super Bowl glory. It just makes very little sense to me.
  8. I think the loss of a steady and experienced center like Mitch Morse is a factor here as well.
  9. So Nate Odomes preferred hookers instead of 12 year old boys. I can respect that. Kind of like the Anti-Diddy
  10. That's amazing. Today I was out and about in my travels. I saw this house with a rather odd smell wafting from it. As I was passing I saw a mail truck pull up. Once it left I (of course) checked that person's mail box and you know what was there? An envelope with an autographed photo of Tre White and $200. Was a good day.
  11. Ah this is a nothing burger. Most of us have stolen records from Columbia House when that was a thing.
  12. Texans 37 Bills 17 I expect more of the same that we saw Sunday night. Houston should be able to move the ball at will on this defense. I just don't think we have the weapons to keep up.
  13. I like Knox, but just once it would be really fun to invest in a skill position player and actually get the value back on.
  14. And the pick is being switched. Due to the bolded with some key players of ours either hurt, hobbled or suspended and the Texans getting Mixon back along with Tank Sell, advantage Cows.
  15. Maybe it's been mentioned already in the last 12 pages but I don't see it I know he forfeits moved from games checks while out. I'm wondering, does this void any future guarantees he has? I.E. can we cut after the season with no dead cap hit now?
  16. I remember my first day drinking binge, too. Good times. The key is to take a break around noon and drink some water. Then start powering through around dinner, again.
  17. I would obviously give Poyer the edge in experience and knowledge. That's not in question and that's a good set of traits to bring to any table. But as far as I'm concerned, Poyer and even Hyde for that matter aren't going to improve anything post snap. And even if they are a net neutral, having 2 aged out vets does nothing for the future of the organization. I'm a Hamlin fan. Was before the incident. I like Rapp a lot too. But how Cine and Bishop aren't being given more time on the field is beyond me. If we are going to watch guys make rookie mistakes, I'd rather it be an actual rookie and an inexperienced Cine make them.
  18. I think I would respectfully pass on a Poyer reunion. Appreciate his time here and all he did. Guy was a warrior. But father time has caught him, and with his lack of speed it wasn't hard to do. I would much rather bring Cine up and see what he can do.
  19. I hear there is a little pill you can take these days to correct your "performance issues". I'll see if I can find a link.
  20. Every time he's in I get Zach Moss vibes. Not sure if they are using him to his strengths z but I have been very underwhelmed so far from what we've seen.
  21. Do you realize how mentally fragile it comes across when people move goalposts to somehow blame officials for something? Not you, of course because I would never accuse you of that. Sorry, IDGAF about who is flagged for what. Scumbag behavior is scumbag behavior and Smoot showed a scummy side of himself. Kind of hypocritical to yell about a team playing dirty when your team did the same. Or are you part of the "Rules for thee but not for me" society?
  22. Wait, what's this about Shakir? I know he got banged up but he came back in and played. Is he gonna be out? I have not heard this?
  23. I bought and wore a new hat today. And that caused Joe Brady to make an all time bad play call at a pivotal moment and halt the momentum the Bills had. Somehow. Who's gonna tell him????
  24. Exactly. It's football. You're gonna get a beat down every so often. It happens. Just wasn't their night. We found out a few things about this version of the Bills last night. But the big answer will be....how do they respond to it? How do they handle a bit of adversity? How do they shake up what they were doing to lead to better results? I think we see some answers to this Sunday in Houston.
  25. I respect your points and for the most part agree with the idea that Josh needed better protection. Hey, just curious, did you see the intentional knee to the head Smooth gave the Ravens FB? Maybe not the best time to point a finger and say "they played dirty" IMO.
