  1. From what I have seen there hasn't been a single case of a botched hold. Laces out. I'll take a deeper look today if I get some time. I believe he was always going to take the job from Haack. I think the Bills were content to let him work on holding for kicks early in the year....but no way do I see it a smart idea to tinker with an inexperienced holder right before the playoffs.
  2. Araiza didn't even make it TO the season. He was cut in pre season. Unless you mean his best pre season? And even in that time frame, I believe Haack was still holding for the majority of it.
  3. Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game. Sucks for the player. Hope he recovers well. Maybe Miami should have gotten an upgrade at backup C rather than trade for Chase Claypool.
  4. The frustrating thing is the Bills I think put him in position to fail. He's not a number 2. He never should have just been handed that role without a back up plan last year. He's a clear #3 type guy. He does a LOT of little things well. He's the kind of guy that matters more on an actual field of play rather than a stat sheet. He works hard and truthfully, he would likely be a #4 if he didn't put in so much effort. In a perfect world he's EXACTLY the kind of guy that should see a second contract. However, some team will still have visions of the Chiefs playoff game in their head and think "this is the Christian Kirk scenario all over again" and vastly overpay. And good for him. He likely needs a change of scenery to have success. His Bills career when it's all said and done reminds me of Robert Woods, actually. Good at at used in many roles but under achieved in the WR department. He'll have a career....let's just hope it's somewhere else and not top dollar here in Buffalo.
  5. Practice squad I could jive with, but again, there is no way he sees the field until next year. You simply don't mess with the PAT/FG process this late in the season unless it's forced due to injury.
  6. I wouldn't right now. As inconsistent as Martin has been he's also Bass's holder and that's something Araiza doesn't have exp with. Bass had had issues already and there in no way I mess with his holder this close to playoffs. Easily could cost us much more than a couple short punts.
  7. That is correct. We would win the division and they would go to the wild card. A loss in that game in this scenario puts the Bills likely out of the playoffs.
  8. I agree, they have had better crowds this year. However, after the way last night ended if they drop 2 of their next 3 to the Jets, Ravens or Cowboys (and I expect them to) I think there will be a lot of tickets put up for sale. I could easily see it being a 50-50 crowd or 60-40 in favor of Miami.
  9. I've looked at their schedule. The last 5 games they have been world beaters have all been home games with the exception of a road game in Carolina. Crowd noise is going to factor in and bring them down a bit. This game is very winnable.
  10. Not a shock. Nothing left to play for anyway for them. Herbert will be back with a new Head Coach next year. And the Chargers will likely Charger and screw that choice up as well.
  11. You bring up a lot of good and valid thoughts but this is one I want to address primarily. In the last 3 games that Brady has called the offense Cook has had 15, 22 and 20 touches. Right in the wheelhouse of what you suggested. In the 3 games prior Cook had 14, 10 and 15 touches....so a bit lower. Brady has done a good job of making him a priority especially in the pass game. The trend I'm seeing around the NFL lately is that a RB with the traits that Cook has is becoming the hot trend. The draw ack to these type backs however is that you really need to give them limited touches for fear of wearing them down, especially early in the season. Many of these guys weren't a primary RB even in college, so they may need a bit to acclimate to the constant physicality. Guys like Achane, McLaughlin out in Denver and Keaton Mitchell in Baltimore do more with less carries if used properly. Cook also needs to work on his pass protection to see the field more as well. I have hope for him, I remember when Singletary was pretty bad at pass pro his first few years as well before coming on well in years 3 and 4.
  12. Different opinion. We (the fanbase) are allowed to do that. And yes, what it looks like today could be vastly different than what it looks like next week. But if people want to look at upcoming opponents for us and other teams and forecast that's perfectly ok. Just like people that want to look at this week only and take it from there. Different strokes for different folks, and all.
  13. I think that's the likely plan. I'm ok with it for now. Would be interested to see what a full off-season of Brady leading the offense and installing his playbook would look like. But I'm also hoping they do a real search before just handing it over to him. I believe they would still have to meet Rooney Rule criteria before they just name him OC, but not 100% sure if that applies to the interim label. I'm far more concerned with who will be calling the defense next year. To me it feels like we will see an internal promotion, my guess is Eric Washington. But Babich and possibly Al Holcomb may be in the mix there as well.
  14. What will crack me up even more is if the Jets win this week after winning last week it pushes Rodgers into the "put up or shut up" category. He's said all along if they are still "in it" the Washington game was the target. Looks like he's close to having his bluff called.
  15. Their offense is going to struggle in the last month of the season of if Hill's ankle is holding up, IMO. Dallas, the Jets and Baltimore have good to great defenses and the Bills always seem to have something cooked up to slow their offense. Brutal matchups for Miami down the stretch.
  16. Yes, they looked very rusty early on with the 2 TD drives. So rusty. And if Toney didn't commit that foul we may just as probably be talking about the amazing Joe Brady and how he pulled the offense together at the end wit a minute and eleven seconds and 2 time outs to drive the field and win the game. Because had the play stood and the Chiefs went up...Josh Allen wasn't losing this game. And wow, we really did dodge a bullet on the Chief injury front. How they could possible play a game without guys like DaQuan Jones, Matt Milano or Tre White is beyond me. Oh, snap wait, that's us. Injuries happen. That's where team depth comes in. Sorry for the Chiefs they don't have a deep roster.
  17. https://finheaven.com/threads/phins-titans-post-game-rant.381503/ The post game thread is glorious. Fire everyone. Need a new QB. The collapse begins. Something for everyone.
  18. I think this will play into it a bit this week. Dallas has played extremely well over the last 5 weeks especially. However, 4 of those 5 were at home and the one road game was in Carolina, who at this point is basically an XFL level team. They're coming in to a very hostile environment. Communication should suffer a bit this week for them. I don't see them scoring at will against us at home.
  19. Can't tell if this is a sneaky "fire McDermott ' post or a sneaky Tremaine Edmunds post.
  20. Weird how last week the theme by many here is the Bills were dead, not making the playoffs and a complete rebuild was needed....to today with some (not too far fetched) luck...Buffalo could easily end up the #2 seed if they take care of business and win out. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  21. I've said for weeks I don't see Miami beating the Cowboys or Ravens. If Hill is out a bit they may even lose to the Jets if Wilson plays near what he did yesterday. And with the win in KC yesterday and Lawrence playing gimpy...oddly enough the #2 sees is still possible if we win out. Big if though.
  22. And if that's the case....why do you suppose that is?
