  1. FWIW, Mike White is who fans claim Trubisky is as a player. White is tough, but not a #2 QB on a team with Super Bowl hopes.
  2. Bigger news is Ray Davis is second team kicker.
  3. Yeah this is the contract I've been waiting to see. I put Williams and Cook at the same level. 11/year is fair. It's slightly above Sportrac's estimated value of (I believe) $10.2M for Cook. its about what I expected Cook to see should be hit free agency next year. Maybe a slight bump due to next year's salary cap numbers
  4. Then you're already about 3 hours behind.
  5. I like Davis a lot. I think he's a good steady back that runs well and has some good receiving skills. To me a "starter" at RB is irrelevant. Whomever gets the first snap or first series can largely depend on formation and gameplan. I do see him being a guy that can handle the 45% workload that Cook had last year. I do think Davis is better served being part of a committee than a workhorse. Which is what the Bills seem to favor at the position. So could he "start"? Sure. But him with Ty Johnson still likely isn't enough for what the Bills want to do at RB unless he breaks out and shows a skill set he didn't have last year. So if the Bills aren't planning on Cook being back next year I feel like they have to replace him either in the draft or FA (Breece Hall and Travis ETN are notable FAs next year) to pair with Davis and Ty.
  6. Here's where I believe the issue falls. Is Cook an elite player...or did he just have an elite season? There is a difference. There is no avoiding it. Cook had an elite season last year. But is that who he is or was it the product of the stars lined up just right for him? Remember, this time last year a lot of people were down on him because of the TD drops and fumbles. In a lot of people's eyes he went from "let him walk" to "pay him too dollar" over a 19 game span. I think Cook wants to strike while the iron is hot and I can't blame him for that. I also think the Bills would like to see some consistency and that last year wasn't a one off before they shell out top dollar. And I can't blame them for that, either. The same people screaming to pay him $15M per year will be the same people calling Beane a horrible GM and saying it was a horrible contract if Cooks numbers regress to the means.
  7. True. He won't get hurt on the bike. He also won't stay in football condition on the bike either. Maybe it is selective memory, but it seems year after year the guys that stage these "hold ins" end up not having great seasons that follow. Start the season slow. End up with lingering soft tissue injuries that derail their whole season. Things like that.
  8. Meatloaf is an elite food. Especially when you stuff it with cheese and top with bacon and BBQ sauce. Max will make starts this year. I'd bet heavily on it. The chances of White or Benford missing time is fairly likely. It's a tough league. Because it's football. People get hurt. Key is most are hurt and not injured. Big big difference there. I believe if the season kicked off and live rounds were tomorrow most would be in the lineup. So, he's just here so he don't get fined...
  9. I don't know. A guy like Shavers has been paid for well over a year to be part of a professional football team. What have you done?
  10. Maybe it's just me being overly optimistic, but downs can be expected when a rookie is practicing against the reigning league MVP. Moreso when that MVP is wearing a red jersey and can't really be sacked. The fact that he has made plays and has some ups against that situation is actually pretty impressive to me. He may be up and down against guys like Allen, Mahomes or Burrow as a rookie...but I think against guys like Fields, Tua and whomever wins the Saints job Max will EAT.
  11. Does anyone have his stats as a holder? Could we see a pie chart perhaps?
  12. Double standard. When 2 balls glance off his hands Christian Wilkens calls it a successful day.
  13. Three years and still didn't understand the offense? Ladies and gentlemen...your Miami LoLphins....
  14. Showing up at 8 isn't gonna beat Josh. Heck he probably didn't even beat Dawkins. Getting he gets there by at least 5 to start his breakfast.
  15. I should have been more clear. I believe that package is what it would take to get Dallas to consider it. Not that's my offer. For AJE a first and third I think Dallas would tell Beane to kick rocks. End of the story Parsons most likely sings a record deal to stay in Dallas so it's all a moot point anyway.
  16. If we are being real Dallas could use an established starting RB. Groot Cook 2026 1st and 3rd Parsons Javonte Williams 2026 5th All in all, I expect the deal with Parsons to get done and he will remain in Dallas. He will have the biggest non QB deal in NFL history. That will smooth things over.
  17. Does acknowledgment of the counter jinx counter said counter jinx? What have you done?!?!?
  18. So, he will be signing his market resetting deal soon, then?
  19. Same as my forum name...lol
  20. I'm a pretty big WWE fan. Have been for almost as long as I've been a Bills fan. I do several camping trips with the kids every year that have become things I enjoy planning and preparing for year round. Just became a Grandpa and in two weeks will have all my kids and now grandkid at the campground. Cooking is also a big passion for mine. My wife hasn't made dinner in 14 years. It's for the best. Every night I have one of the kids come in and assist cooking dinner. It's a special time that's hopefully building special memories for the kids once I'm off this world. Of the more embarrassing hobbies, I make TikToks. Mostly comedy about parenting and marriage. Some Bills content there too.
  21. Honestly, I wouldn't freak out about Browns back even if he misses some time. It's not that he's not good. Guy is legitimately dominant. But we have something we haven't had in ages. OL depth. I believe if Grable or RVD had to step in for a time that there wouldn't be an insurmountable drop off.
  22. Agreed. Their Super Bowl year they caught lightning in a bottle. It looks like that is their method. Keep Burrow/Chase/Higgins. And hope that they get a few breaks along the way. But the lack of serious investment in the OL and defense has cost them. Looking at where they were in their Super Bowl season there is no logical reason why they shouldn't have had at least two more appearances by now IMO.
  23. So, they aren't paying their top defensive player (yet). They won't improve the protection for Burrow. They have nothing on defense. But TE2 is covered.
  24. With the right players I could see a package of wishbone plays being effective inside the 5 or in short yardage. A team like Baltimore would be perfect to run it. A power back in Henry, a huge FB that can catch well and plunge into the line in Ricard, a speedy guy in Mitchell and even a QB that can fake and run with the ball. That's a lot to defend in a small space and a defense would have to read a lot of options from the snap. Of course, the drawback is that most player on the NFL level have defended a wishbone type offense since middle school and are experienced against it. And NFL defenses are stacked with speed and can cover a lot of things at once.
  25. Last year we had Benford/Douglas/Elam as our top 3 boundary CBs. So it's not a high bar to clear. The trio of Benford/White/Max should be much improved. It sound like Bishop is going to get the chance to wrestle the S job away from Damar. That would be absolutely huge for us. Add in a (hopefully) improved pass rush and they won't have to cover long before the ball has to come out. An improvement to the pass rush plus more talent in the DB room would be a real game changer to the make up of this team.
