  1. I'm pretty sure this is normal. Typically after the season Rodgers takes a break from there to sit in a dark room or travel in a capsule from this world to a world of robot mudhens or to the beaches of Saturn to listen to some aqua mammals procreate or whatever the heck it is he does. Then he's back in a bit to TOTALLY not be a distraction and bring and BS to the Jets locker room.
  2. If it wasn't for Antonio Pierce, who I believe earned the Raider job I would like Vrabel in Las Vegas to make the Chiefs have to work a bit harder.
  3. Dan Quinn immediately jumps to mind. But the timing on this...wonder if they will make a hard run at Vrabel.
  4. I'd say he has an outside shot at one job. Carolina. Much the way we saw teams pass on the Cleveland job years back that led to Mike Pettine as a HC, enough people could not want to hitch their wagon to the Tepper cart to make it happen.
  5. But it is. Teams are savvy these days. There's the bare minimum written Rooney Rule and then the unwritten stuff teams have to do the makes it appear they weren't just interviewing for the quota. They almost have to "over interview" minority candidates so it doesn't look like the ones they interview are simply Rooney Rulers. Also, it helps narrow down a minority candidate to give a 2nd interview to. Can't have all Caucasian finalists for the job or it wasn't a "real search". That's why as soon as requests for interviews start happening you see a TON of minority coaches requested. Interesting enough, ESPN recently had a segment on this and there were 2 notable people speaking about it happening. One of those people? Leslie Frazier.
  6. I'm not sure if the Bills would get anything. Depends on if Frazier is still under contract I think. In any event, I don't see Frazier getting this. Wayyyyy to early in the hiring cycle to think he's got a real shot. Likely this is a Rooney Rule interview or they are going to gage him and see if they hire someone else of he'd be open to a possible DC spot.
  7. Just watched the whole thing. That was CINEMA. What stands out to me is just how much the Buffalo Bills are in the heads of the Miami Dolphins at this point. They almost seemed to know what was coming. Also, I found it odd that the day after Tyreek's fire no one had really got in contact with him. Yeah, Tua said he tried calling and sent a text...but I have to feel like I'd that was one of our guys the team would have actually showed up in person to see if they could help. This team is just that close.
  8. Pittsburgh bis also a "cold weather team". Their primary RB is a huge tank of a dude. Ours has noted problems hanging onto the ball in good weather. That's an advantage right there. Winds, snow, sleet and rain have a tendency to level a playing field a bit. There will be mistakes from both teams. It could and often does help a less talented team stick around in the game.
  9. Maybe I'm oversimplifying this. But it's football and anything can happen. And normally when it's a game where some silliness happens it involves a Bills loss. If before the season started you would have told people that the Bills would enter the playoffs on a 5 game win streak, #2 seed, at home against the Steelers , without TJ Watt and with Mason Rudolph starting at QB I think 99% of the fan base would have signed up for that. But again, it's football. The weather will factor in. Could there be yet another game that the Refs influence the outcome? Will the Bills play down to their opponents, or will the Steelers play out of their mind knowing they really are playing with house money and have nothing to lose? It's a single elimination tournament. Can't have an off day or it's on to exit interviews and draft prep.
  10. Looks like a bunch of guys not buying what they are being told. Of course, that could always be edited to look like that. But even seeing a few snips of the Miami players pressers this week....they seem disengaged.
  11. Exactly this. And he will likely have multiple offers.
  12. Would be absolutely hysterical to see the Patriots hire him and "promote" Belichick to GM only.
  13. I would almost think Vrabel would bring Arthur Smith with him as OC. EB would be someone to consider ..but I'm also wondering if enough of the top HC candidates avoid the Carolina job that he finally gets a HC job there.
  14. The Commanders new owner is thought to be one looking for a splash hire. This would qualify and I would keep my eye on them.
  15. Not a surprise, but it's been confirmed. No Watt.
  16. I'm aware. But the longer Miami is in the better chance of running into them.
  17. I want KC for a variety of reasons. The old "hard to beat a team 3 times in a season" rule. The "not wanting to meet divisional rivals in the playoffs" reasoning. I also just think after how "fresh and revolutionary" that offense was touted and how the media built up the Dolphins all season that seeing them complete the collapse and go from almost #1 seed to losing the division and being 1 and done in the playoffs would be absolutely hysterical. I also want the Chiefs so we finally have the opportunity to play that team in our house, in front of our crowd and eliminate the defending Champs. It almost feels like a right of passage that HAS to happen. I would also like to see us beat the Chiefs so that if we go on to win a Super Bowl there is no "Yeah, well they didn't have to beat Mahomes to get there. They had an easier road". And I do think KC wins this one. Tua on the road against a good defense is not a good matchup for the fish. KC offense hasn't been great, but Miami is severely banged up on defense. The weather and matchup scream Pacheco to dominate to me.
  18. I don't think so. I'm willing to bet Eric Washington gets a promotion with Babich and Holcomb under consideration as well. However it wouldn't shock me if Rivera was added to the staff in some other capacity.
  19. Man, Reek ran out of there like his house was on fi--oh wait...
  20. Any one of those guys improves the WR2 spot from a pass catching standpoint IMO. Obviously, Higgins is the likely "big fish" there that the teams like Carolina or the Jets will throw stupid money at. Ridley opposite Diggs with Shakir/Kincaid inside would be a sick combination.
  21. Zay got a 3 year $24M deal. At that number I would be ok bringing Gabe back. That $8M AAV and a bargain. I'm thinking he sees a bit more. Something like Allen Lazard just got from the Jets (4/44M) and that's a bit too much for my liking.
  22. DHop technically signed a 2 year deal with the Titans.
  23. Right now the WR FA class includes the following (of course subject to change) -Tee Higgins -Mike Evans -Odell Beckham -Tyler Boyd -DJ Chark -Marquise Brown -Calvin Ridley -Michael Pittman -Curtis Samuel Plus it's a deep WR draft class. Sure, it only takes one team to go big...but I don't think he even hits the $13.5M AAV that Spotrac projects.
