  1. The season he was injured most of the year, the Titans actually earned the #1 seed in the AFC. From what I remember, during his first two years as a backup he was reported to be on the trading block. Titans were looking for a day 3 pick for him. No one jumped. Then he had to start due to injury and popped off a huge game on national TV and the rest is history.
  2. I'm watching. Are you? Or more important, do you understand what you're seeing? The second bolded part actually describes Codrington almost to a T. He's on SEVERAL occasions already taken a ball out of the end zone he shouldn't have. He tried and kicked out diving for a punt catch rather then avoid contact. He got one fumble and is darn lucky we recov. All of these things were what Hardy was doing that forced us to trade for Codrington in the first place. He has very poor decision making and sooner or later it's going to bite the Bills.
  3. Yes a generational generic freak would be great. Unfortunately, those types are very few and far between.
  4. I personally believe Milano is way more injured than they are letting on. Pectoral issues normally are lengthy healing processes. I of course don't know exactly how bad the injury truly is but if I was placing a bet...I don't think we see him for a while. Franklin isn't a guy that I think would be claimed on waivers. He would go to the PS and have his call ups. That would buy a few weeks. Hamlin has value to this team. He may even have more value in his reduced role as he did as a starter. He's good right where he is, 2nd team. But having a guy that's been a starter in this system on the main roster is very valuable both as a voice in the S room to help Bishop and as an experienced guy in the system if we need him due to injury in a game. He's also a pretty solid core special teamer. Lastly I don't think we even save any money by cutting him, though I'm too lazy ATM to look it up lol
  5. Yeah I was talking about him earlier today. But you hit the nail on the head. He's fallen off from last year and the snap counts/touches show the coaching staff sees it too. The few times he has touched the ball on offense he's been gobbled up and very unimpressive. He had 9 carriers against the Jets (24 yards 2.7ypc) and only 1 carry for 2 yards against the Ravens ("adding" 1 catch for -1 yard). I could see the Bills giving him another game or two before they try and elevate Gore and see what he can do and Davis becomes the dreaded 'healthy scratch'. But here's the thing. We need SOMEONE to take a few of the carries a game away from Cook. We don't want him to handle 90-95% of the carries in offense for the season. He's not a big guy and chances are come playoff time he will be at or near the wall.
  6. First person off this team of I were the GM when Max gets back... Codrington. He adds absolutely nothing at the CB position. And he's making a lot of poor choices on PR. He let one ball slip through his arms and has another "return" where he had to dive forward and catch the ball. Easily could have been another fumble. He made some poor decisions in the first two games as well. Who returns kicks then? Well, we have a lot of possibilities. Ray Davis could help out on KR. Possibly Moore. Ty Johnson. Shakir has done PR in the past IIRC. And little know fact, in his last year in college, Keon Coleman was one of the top rated returners in the nation. We are at a stage that with our offense we don't need to steal 6 points on STs. We need punt catchers....not punt returners lol. As far as the other two spots. I'm in favor of mothballing Milano til later in the season. He would head to IR. As far as the third spot? Perhaps Franklin.
  7. So now we're ok with ex-Panthers?
  8. I think it's a two fold reason. 1. Ravens. Jets. And contrary to belief...YES the Dolphins are all teams with running games that can be anywhere from very good to spectacular in a given game. Now next game against the Saints...I see less 4-3. 2. Health of Taron Johnson. He's been somewhat banged up the last few weeks. And while he's traditionally a solid run defender, using more 4-3 looks gives him less ear and tear. If he needs a break the Bills are basically saying "we like Williams/Thompson more than Ingram/Lewis"
  9. It shouldn't come as a shock to anyone. He's healthy. It makes a difference. People here wanted to trade him for a 5th rounder last off season because he was playing injured.
  10. Except, that's not what is mentioned in the OP. They are saying McDermott is responsible for that. But according to you we have people to alert him to when to challenge. He can only see it at one angle at live speed. And he only gets 40 seconds to decide. A lot goes into it. Enough that he isn't solely to blame for not challenge that one.
  11. Apparently when you slipped on the rubber mats you banged your head pretty hard. Please report to the blue tent
  12. 3 UP 1. Torrence. Guy has been an absolute beast this year so far. By far the best start to a season for him. 2. Kincaid. Remember this last off-season people were willing to see him traded for a 4th or 5th rounder. He's healthy now. See the difference? 3. E. Moore. While not a dominant factor play by play the Bills seem to have a package of plays to get him the ball. He's carving a role much like Worthy's in KC. 3 DOWN 1. Ray Davis. He's been unimpressive since TC. Last night he didn't record a single official touch and was vastly out snapped by Ty. 2. Codrington. Had a fumble and another questionable diving grab of a punt. He's made at least 1 poor decision a game. Would not shock me to see him gone when they need more roster spots. 3. Palmer. Had 1 short catch late. Other than that zero impact against a team down to Pop Warner guys at CB.
  13. I never surprises me that the average Joe, sitting on their couch with picture perfect and slowed down camera angles knows better what to do after 14 hours then the coach who sees one quick angle and has 40 seconds to decide.
  14. Very good points with the guys we are getting back. I would say that where I zig when you zag is at the safety position. I think they are dedicated to see what Bishop can provide over the course of the season. And (even though I think he should be in the bench) they will not bench Rapp as they see him as a leader. In fairness, last night we played a team that pressures safeties a bit and for the most part Bishop held up. No deep balls hit and despite being out of position a couple times he looked much better than last year. I think they are willing to give up a little today to have him ready for the playoffs.
  15. I don't see it that way at all. I think the best shot for them to win the Super Bowl is 2025 where Josh plays within himself, limits the turnovers and plays smart. But if the past is any indication, we have seen this movie play out before. Buffalo opens the season with a few boring wins. Offense is . methodical. Come playoff time, Josh gets unleashed more.
  16. And this is the divider among fans. The "White Men Can't Jump" theory. Some people would rather look pretty and lose than look bad and win.
  17. Yeah, but the bomb to the FB was FUN!
  18. And often, it's the wrong things. Look, I realize this team isn't perfect by any means. Lots of work to be done. It's almost like it's only week 3...lol. There are definitely areas for improving. Some concerns. For me, PR is a concern. Codrington is going to cost us a game at some point if he keeps making poor choices in when to field the ball. Ray Davis is a total non factor. Only saw 4 official snaps and zero touches last night. It's cool to want to talk about areas needing improvements. It's human nature. I get that. But threads popping up immediately after a double digit win, on national TV against a division rival isn't the time. Take a bit and enjoy a win people. It wasn't long ago we were a complete joke to the league.
  19. Exactly. Like his three interception game opening week against the Jets a couple years back. So fun. Like when he played his first playoff game against the Texans and did that weird last second lateral. What a hoot that was.
  20. Allen completed 79% of his passes and had 3 TD passes. His completion percentage and yards would have increased if it wasn't for a few bad drops. I wouldn't call that anemic....but to each their own.
  21. Through 3 games they are averaging 34 points a game. They will be fine.
  22. This is the list for me. Well with Allen of course. Shaq really added some physicality I liked.
  23. Yes that was an ugly miss. But Prater shook it off. A miss like that and Bass is in a 3 week funk. A kicker is a lot like a golfer. Need perfect mechanics without thinking. But for as long as I've golfed and practiced my swing, every once and a while I shank one off the tee. It happens. The key is Prater is a vet, stayed calm and nailed the rest of his attempts. Plus he will have all the practice and game reps with Johnston as the holder. Let's not shake something up if it's working.
  24. Yeah. We don't want Josh playing the style that helped win him an MVP last year...we want to see "arm punt" Josh throw the ball carelessly down the field into triple coverage and turn the ball over. It's way more fun.
