  1. Do Von next!
  2. WRs are gonna get paid high this off-season. Lots of demand to upgrade WR rooms and lack of high end talent coming in FA and the draft. WR sticker shock is going to be a thing next week. Bank on it. Add into that Tutu probably has more value to the Rams in what will be his 5th year in that system then to any other team right now...I think it's a fair deal. One year to see if he can move into the role Kupp leaves.
  3. Wave Tutu byebye...
  4. Scratch Tutu off the list...
  5. Morse was a great guy. Solid player. Pretty much a guy you want on your team. I think his steady play and knowledge helped Josh develop more than it gets credit for as well. He's in the pool of people that helped Josh early in his career for sure. Hope he has a happy and healthy retirement and enjoys time with his beautiful family.
  6. And then on top of that tie up $30M AAV in a new contract? No thanks.
  7. On a team friendly (very friendly) deal with playtime and sack incentives, I'd be ok with it. Not a fan of his, and his play has seemed to dio even when healthy. But a deal like I mentioned makes it a worthwhile gamble IMO
  8. I definitely think Slayton is in the "about to be overpaid" lost. Rumblings of quite a few teams in on him should drive up his price. I'd say the Gabe Davis deal is his absolute floor with potential to hit Christian Kirk money possible. We shall see
  9. Of course, the big difference between last year and this year is last year New England had an unknown rookie head coach and nothing substantial at QB. This year they have Vrabel and Maye showed very well last season. While not a true Super Bowl contender just yet it could easily be a program players can talk themselves into wanting to join and help build to that level.
  10. Here is the problem. There are a LOT of teams looking to upgrade the WR room this year. And there are not a lot of top WRs hitting the market adding to that this is not a great WR draft as in years past. Supply and demand don't match. Which means guys like Dyami Brown are going to get over paid in FA and trades for someone like Metcalf are going to be extra costly. My bet is he ends up in New England. They have been looking aggressively to upgrade that room, they have the cash to upgrade his contract and the picks to get it done. Wouldn't be shocked to see them offer their early 2nd rounder and a bit extra to acquire him.
  11. That should put the "trade for Crosby" crowd away. He's not heading anywhere now.
  12. Depends on the player/position. I would think an older prospect would be a little more mature and able to handle himself a bit better. Also for a player like Ray Davis who came in a bit older...unless you're planning on signing them to a second contract the age wouldn't be an issue for me as much. But a RB with some age? As a 4 year one contract guy? Sure.

  14. We need more guys that can play with some fire. Guys that step up and make plays. What we we need is a Mawg. Half man, half dawg.
  15. Guy basically saved their season last year when he switched to LT. I get he's older and will be expensive...but man life comes at you fast in the NFL
  16. Exactly. And if it was mainly the injury that did his season in this year, selling him off when his value is at an all time low is a ridiculous proposition IMO. If it was the injury as they seem to believe, him getting right and taking a step forward would likely be worth way more than whomever they would select in the third round of the draft Ok. That explains your overall perspective. If you have already conceded the entire season next year as a non Super Bowl year, I can see why you would give up on a player after an injury plagued year so quickly. You're a pessimist. Got it.
  17. He's listed at 6'4" 240lbs. Plenty of size for a "move" TE. I'll give you speed as he ran a 4.71 while too TEs recently coming out have been in the 4.6 range. But that's still plenty of speed to get away from a LBer and plenty of size to outmatch a DB. If turning a 1st round pick into a 3rd is the move, then we need to have a serious chat about moving in from Brady and getting one of those innovative OCs you're speaking about. Also let me edit this part in real quick. Fans have VERY short term memories. This is the same guy that set Bills rookie receiving records just 2 years ago. Giving up on a guy that has flashed the talent and is coming off an injury impacted second season ESPECIALLY for a two round reduction in value is an extremely short sighted idea. Remember when fans wanted Brown either cut or traded for a 7th last year coming off a couple injury riddled seasons? How would that look today? Right now the right play with Dalton is to heal him up. Design some nice down field looks for him. Build his confidence back. I think in the long run, he's going to be fine. As long as he's relatively healthy.
  18. This is NOT the year to look to FA for a WR. With Higgins tagged and Godwin likely headed back to Tampa, it leaves the top of the WR free agent market rather thin. The draft isn't as deep or talented as it has been in recent years. And there are a LOT of WR needy teams. Supply is low and demand is high. What this translates to for me is a year where second tier WRs like Brown and Slayton are signed to larger than deserved contracts. When it comes to WR contracts next week once we see numbers of guys signed I think a lot of popular sentiment will be "dang, really wanted him but not at that price".
  19. I think the issue this year was a few things. First off for MANY expectations were he was going to break out. With him having a full season under his belt and with his injury causing a regression on the stats it looks like a double whammy. Not only did his numbers not meet fan expectations, the numbers dropped Second, even when healthy, it didn't seem like he was being used the way many here thought he would. We talked ourselves into him being Kelce 2.0, but he isn't used the same way. Not even close. Be it scheme design, him picking up the playbook or whatever...he's not been what we pictured when drafted. It's on Brady to get him some plays drawn up Third, in back to back years we have seen rookie TEs have huge seasons in LaPorta and Bowers. It stands to reason we would compare our 1st round TE to them. And he's paled in comparison. Fourth, where guys like LaPorta rarely come off the field, Kincaid splits snaps a lot. He has to take some steps forward this year. Stay healthy. The talent is there.
  20. I think he ends up back in Green Bay.
  21. So was taking Coleman an admission they screwed up the Kincaid pick? Ladd has a great rookie year. Why? He was the best WR in a WR room that lacked talent. He has 112 targets as a rookie. That will produce stats. Would he have gotten those same targets here? Mind you Allen only attempted 483 passes so that would have had to have been an almost 25% target share. And Ladd would have probably split snaps with Shakir. Had we drafted Ladd I think people would have been severely disappointed with his output on the fat lower targets he would have likely ended up with here.
  22. We hear there was contact made without context. Who contacted? Was it Beane or a normal lower level person? Was it directly about a certain player or was it just a routine "touch base" call all teams make. Why did they contact? Was it for the player specifically or was it to gauge the market on what a guy at that position and skill level was looking for to see what the average market will be? For example to that last one, say the Bills are wanting to sign a guy like Smith. They aren't going to just call Smith. They will wisely do some "comparison shopping" and see where his value falls. So much goes into getting a player signed. And yes, like you said...perhaps the Bills have been in on some of those we hear of and been out bid. Or the player wanted to play closer to home. Or had a better opportunity for snaps or any of a million other reasons that come up.
  23. I actually took a little and pondered this. I think where I'm at is I wouldn't mind his completion % staying the same or even dropping if it means they were pushing the ball down the field a bit more and doing less of those line of scrimmage outside screens that barely work and set is behind the chains. This would also open things up more in the running game both for the RBs and Allen, as well as open things in the seems and intermediate for Knox/Kincaid. This would also likely mean they found a WR that can win and get some separation on the outside or Coleman stepped up and is coming into his own.
  24. No longer a game changer type guy. Oft injured, seemed unmotivated last year in SF with a big cap number. However, at just a 5th with the option of either reworking his deal for a lower cap number or using this year and letting him walk (for what would likely be a 5th or better comp pick) it's a good low risk move.
