  1. Haven't heard but the end zones being whited out would look pretty good for a night game IMO
  2. Ok, who are the 3 people that picked 3+? I feel like we have the right to know so we can keep them from pointy objects.
  3. Honestly, even putting aside his legal issues, he wasn't good last year anyway. I really wouldn't want to be the GM to take on all the questions about a once great but now apparently mediocre kicker.
  4. I guess I would fall more in the "hopeful" category then the "confident" one. Getting Oliver back will help. Milano back would be a bonus. Still not sure what Hairston will add...but it can't be a huge dropoff from what we have had out there and he has the potential to be a bonus The PED guys. All areas that we could have an improvement. Will we? That's anyone's guess. I do think if we see results closer to the Saints game (they converted 5 for 13 on third) we will be ok. If we see more weeks like the Dolphins game even after those guys get back I think we need to see McDermott take back play calling.
  5. I voted 1. I think he gets a short TD reception. Vrabel likes to try and "stick it" to teams. Example: him trying a "home run throwback" against the Bills. I think the Pats will have some play earmarked for Diggs to score. Being that Diggs has primarily played slot for them, I'm curious to see him go up against Taron.
  6. All fair points. However as we have come to know Josh has that inner drive to succeed and improve. That's not something that is learned. I think he would have succeeded in spite of the Jets. Either with them if they were patient enough, or without them as Sam Darnold has been doing over the last 16 months or so.
  7. People were saying Daboll was really good too. Then he left the Josh Allen bubble. Brady has had success here. And he had success his year at LSU with Burrow/Chase/Jefferson. If he goes somewhere without a franchise QB he's doomed like so many before him IMO.
  8. Baltimore was 6-11 on third down. As you said the Jets were 0-11 (but 3 for 3 on fourth down), Miami was 10-15 and that helps boots the season numbers and the Saints were 5 for 13. So the Dolphins game aside teams are 11 for 35 against the Bills on 3rd down. That's 31.4%. That would be good for #2 third down defense in the NFL. Now I'm not saying execution and/or play calling can't be better on 3rd down. They can. But with the small sample size of 4 games, perhaps it's not as bleak as we think and can show improvement.
  9. Honestly Josh is one of those guys that are just sickeningly good at whatever they try. Like I would GUARANTEE the first time her tried bowling he broke 150 and had a turkey.
  10. I'll agree that Allen could have been ruined by the Jets. But I also think much of the reason for his success was his inner desire to improve and the work he did with Jordan Palmer. I don't think Palmer gets enough credit for Allen's progression.
  11. He's a 6'5" almost 240 pound man that can run through you, around you, over you or leap you. He may even be the world's first human/buffalo hybrid. Someone need to check his DNA. He can throw passes that make you look silly. And he will tell you all about it. I'd hate him if I had to play him too. Could you imagine the alternate timeline where the Jets actually took him instead of Sam Darnold? We would hate the dude so much.
  12. That paper has been on the downswing since Larry Felser retired.
  13. While you're correct in saying that NFL teams have to take each other seriously and not overlooking opponents....that doesn't have a darn thing to do with how FANS are allowed to view things. I also agree that basing your enjoyment level on a Super Bowl win is absurd. Mainly because we have no hand in the outcome. Even a day where the good guys lose in the scoreboard can be a fantastic day spent with friends and family making memories. So while it's ok to have fun win or lose and just enjoy the wonder that is Josh Allen and this version of the Bills....it's really ok to have independent thoughts about how they could be better. How and where they improve. There's no sense in gatekeeping how others view the game. So, perhaps after spending my life watching 4 straight Super Bowl losses and 17 years of missing the playoffs, it's reasonable that come Sunday's nowadays, I go into the game with expectations. Because this franchise has become that good.
  14. Milton Williams being out would be really good for us.
  15. Agree. He's the worst one on the Thursday night panel by far. I disliked Richard Sherman as a player, but even he's pretty good as a talking head IMO.
  16. Wooden? Bah, that thing is gonna cause splinters. Couldn't even spring for something like carbo fiber? Ralph....uh ...I mean Terry is cheap.
  17. I really like Whit. Good in front of the camera and comes across as an overall likable dude. Would definitely drink a beer with that dude.
  18. I was pretty vocal last week on having Gore active against the Saints to see what he could do. I stand by that. The thing about the RB position is you earn snaps and carries based on performance. Not only in games but in practice and the film room. His usage would suggest he has not done that. There are backs that need a few touches to get into the flow of the game and he may be one. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen when you play behind a guy like Cook. So find someone that doesn't need that. We NEED someone that can absorb 5-8 touches a game to lighten Cooks load. But those touches have to be positive plays...not whatever it is Davis is doing. We have now had Baby Gore in the building for over a year. I'd say let him show what he can do.
  19. Yes. Obviously, KJ Hamler is the key.
  20. Through 4 games I see no reason to switch back to Bass. And with how he's done here so far this year if we do make the switch and cut Prater, with the way kicking goes around the NFL he will be on another teams roster fairly quickly IMO. I wouldn't risk it. Keep Prater. Give Bass the chance to fully heal. Next year, bring in a kicker to compete with Bass. At the very least it saves wear and tear on his hip.
  21. It's the "Fantasy Football Syndrome". People see his box score and don't see the productivity. They don't get what a guy like Knox brings to the team Monday through Saturday and all the dirty little jobs he does do on a Sunday. Agree. He's more of a locker room guy than an on field asset at this point. And you do need those guys in the locker room. I don't think many people have an issue with Knox as a player, but rather what the Bills are paying him, so some kind of restructure would be nice to take some heat off him. Based on his usage and touches so far this season, the coaching staff doesn't. That's why he's barely seeing the field. While we don't know what Gore can do in actual NFL games yet, I wouldn't think he would be a step back from what we have seen out of Davis so far this year. At least Gore shows he can find a hole, unlike Magoo Davis.
  22. Pats keep it close as Buffalo struggles to contain the run. Diggs with a few nice plays. Maye continues to show he can play in this league. But at some point in the second half, Josh and Jimbo will get a few big plays of their own. I like the matchup of our TEs against their poor LB core. I see a close game until the 4th quarter where Buffalo puts it away and wins by double digits yet again. Bills-33 Patriots- 23
  23. Really? Their defense isn't the 85 Bears. They are 26th against the pass. Josh/Shakir/Kincaid should have big days.
  24. Punters should wear a full suit of armor. Head out on the field looking like they are about to joust someone.
  25. The funniest thing is, Sanders reportedly told the Ravens NOT to draft him because he didn't wanna sit behind Lamar. Fast forward to week 5. Lamar expected to miss a couple games and even though Flacco got benched...Sanders is still 3rd string emergency QB only.
