I'm most worried about McCaffrey. Backs like him always seems to give us fits. All in all I'm hoping this is a case of "It doesn't matter who you play, but when you play them" and Cam is still a bit rusty. As long as our defense shows up we have a chance.

Not really that hard to see the process unfolding. The Bills are the 3rd oldest team in the NFL I believe I read. So you have a core of older players here to 1. Keep the appearance of being competitive 2. Help teach the young guys. Loading up on draft picks and releasing players that are either of questionable fit, healthy or ethics they are building a team that can grow together. Buffalo isn't playing for the AFC East title even had they kept Watkins, Darby ect ect. Not with Brady and Belichick. So you build for the future when they aren't there anymore. If you can't beat them then be the team that replaces them. Brady is 40. He looks good still but when father time catches him he will deteriorate fast. Rex Ryan was shooting for playoffs. One wild card appearance...then what? McBeane is building something that can compete on a high level for years. As long as they draft well they are setting themselves up for sustainable success.

Jets run defense is still pretty stout. Last season McCoy totaled 69 yards on 20 carries against them. Even with Richardson out of the picture they are stacked there. Honestly if we are able to come away with the win it's going to have to be due to TT passing and making plays with his legs. Screens to Shady and Zay. Not sure how much Matthews will play. I see a short TD run for Tolbert and 3 FGs for a 16 point total. Jets offensively is looking rather...well offensive. McCown, Powell (who did run up 122 yards against Rex's Bills last year) and maybe some old man Forte is all they have. Nothing really at TE and Enunwa is out. I do see them with a TD after a TT turnover deep in our territory. Tack on a FG and my prediction 16-10 Buffalo victory!

Maybe. But again, if they are planning a ST role on gameday Webb won't be inactive. Leads to my point above. They may place value on him enough to carry 3 active gameday QBs.

Honestly if Webb is in at QB we aren't any worse off than if Yates was there. My concern is that with his ST ability of they use him in that capacity that means either we have 3QBs active on gameday or Peterman would be a healthy scratch.

Might be a "wink and nod" agreement with Anderson. Told him once they get Yates situation handled they will bring him back. Happens a lot.

True, some moves are head scratchers. Honestly though I'm was less PO'd than I have been by previous staffs saying "Well, we are close" then failing. I don't want a team that makes the playoffs. I want a team that contends for Super Bowls. Any staff we have had in the last decade was playing for a playoff berth. One. That's all. That's all they knew they needed. The bar has been set extremely low in Buffalo. Let the coach and GM rip it all down and build it back up. It's their career on the line.
