Where was this guy drafted?
BuffaloBillyG replied to maryland-bills-fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
9. He's planning on making 9 **** threads today. -
No, actually I'm calling it the way I see it. He has Brian Daboll as his OC. Dave Culley as a QB coach. A defensive minded HC. Not exactly the best situation for a rookie QB needing work to step into imo. I have a nice grasp on what this team is...but the team doesn't help him with footwork, progressions, work on accuracy. He needs solid offensive coaching to do that. Not to mention his best trait perhaps is his ability to flick the ball 70-80 yards...and at this time we aren't exactly stacked with speed. As I said before, good kid, has a chance to succeed but imo he a square peg with a round hole here in Buffalo.
-
For his work with WRs. This is true. He's a solid WR coach. And to play devils advocate...you're right. We don't know what Allen was asked to do. He may have been asked to do far less in that case as well. Seems like a good kid though...and I do think he can do well in the right situation. I just don't feel like we have what he would need to thrive here.
-
Yup. But you're a complete project you need a good situation to go to. IMO if Allen went to the Giants where he can sit and learn from Eli and Shurmer for a few years he would have a better chance. He comes here behind a not too entrenched starter in AJ, a questionable QB coach and a defensive minded HC? Not a good place for him.
-
Oh I do. I don't like Josh Rosen's face. I think he's going to be a fine QB. But it's like you took Eli Manning and Aaron Rodgers and smashed their faces together to make some mutant QB. Should he be named Aaron Manning? Eli Rodgers? I don't know. Forget his refusal to run a 40. I want to see if Lamar Jackson can punt the ball. That's right. Punt. If he can do that I will be convinced he's just a Randall Cunningham clone made in a lab from hair off Cunningham's hairbrush. Waffles are much better than pancakes. Josh Allen's eyes are too low on his face. His eye level is closer to a 6'1" QB. Just a prediction here. Mike White will be a better NFL QB than Mason Rudolph.
-
So he is going somewhere? Tell us what...let's make this fun. If you're wrong...leave the board.
-
I can see Mike White being a just under the Dalton Line starter. Maybe a 3-4 season guy until whatever team has him upgrades. Of the "Top 6" ranked by journalist minds...I think 4 will flame out to be at best slightly below average. 1 will be good with not much team success. Kinda like Matt Stafford. And one will be a clear top of the NFL caliber QB. No clue who does which. April 26th...Russian Roulette.
-
Yea, I didn't say anything about White. He's useless. I do like Robinson much more. Meredith in my opinion is on a different level than Streater, of course I'm not a fan of his either. Basically ask this, would Meredith start on the Bills? I believe absolutely. Would Zay start for the Bears? Absolutely not. We, right now have a hobble, a huge question mark and hot garbage at WR.

Moving up to #2 = No Playoffs for the next three years
BuffaloBillyG replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Welp, we didn't trade up in the past and missed the playoffs for 17 years. Missing 3 is child's play. -
Chad Forbes info on possible Bills trade up.
BuffaloBillyG replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everything he has said is known information. With the logic that the Giants will wait and see what the first pick is before dealing NSS. -
Exactly. He's a paid spokesman at this point. And he stands to make out well in the future from other potential clients if Allen shows well.
-
Agree. And honestly I wouldn't be shocked if we end up closer to 60% if we want to move. Just like every QB wants to set the market for each new contract...glad we have all the picks we do.

I don't care what any chart says, I don't see us getting to 5 and keeping 22, 56 or 65.

Who is your second favorite team?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Misterbluesky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He pitched to an All Star exhibition game as well. What an amazing concept for books. I would LOVE to see someone do that today. Jerry Sullivan perhaps can play DB in Cleveland training camp. Maybe he would run into Jarvis Landry. ?? -
Sony Michel emulates his game after Lesean McCoy.

Smart fella then. -
Who is your second favorite team?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Misterbluesky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't call them a second favorite team, but I've always like watching the Lions. Don't know if they just remind me of Buffalo a bit or the Thanksgiving tradition of watching them or some of the players just being amazing to watch. Barry Sanders. Megatron. Don't know if I'll enjoy watching them this year with that Bluto looking Matty Patty as their coach. -
Jordan Matthews visiting the Cheats*****

Don't know if they will sign Matthews as they just signed Brice Butler. -

Josh Rosen snaps back on Mora comments

Honestly, Mayfield's immature attitude is scary. I actually have to defer to Ryan Leafs comments on him. It's concerning and in my opinion crazy can always recognise crazy. I like Baker a whole lot, but he needs to be in the right locker room. Strong coaching and vet leadership. One concern I do have with Rosen is our locker room. Rosen is inquisitive. He likes to learn and be challenged. Do we really think Dave Culley is going to be the guy to help do that? I'd wager that Rosen knows more on QBs than Culley does. -

Yes, I absolutely would say the same for Mayfield. I'm not attacking his personality either by the way. I'm saying in my opinion it's not a great response. This may shock you but Rosen is the guy I want most, it's possible to like a guy and not like something he does. I know from what I have read how he's viewed by teammates. I know that he has the best ability of any QB walking in the door after the draft. I do find it quite ironic however that you criticized people being "in their knees" for Mayfield when time after time you do the exact same thing for Rosen.
