Going to be a lot more gone than them as well. With his age and increase of penalties I wouldn't be shocked if Cogs is gone this off-season as well. McCoy is likely done here too imo. Going to be a lot of fresh faces next season as well for sure.

Honestly the Steelers drop isn't even a factor. He's a guy that at this point in his career doesn't have an ounce of upside. This would likely be the reason that the Bills and, you know 31 other NFL teams haven't brought him in. Stevie 7 years ago? I would agree would be better than what we have. Stevie now? No thank you. Look around the league. The Browns WR depth...look at what happened to the Giants this weekend at WR. Yet no team is even reportedly bringing him in for a tryout. Age and injury catches up.

Bills fans doing Bills fan things, man

No thanks. He was overrated when he was here. Now he's just older. More broken down.

You don't know that they will have to trade up. Neither do I so let's see where it goes. Maybe we have to trade...but at least we have the resources to do so. Maybe one of the QBs falls in our lap. Maybe we back up a Brinks truck and sign Cousins. Lots of possibilities. But I have faith that this team is going in a good direction. Think back to the off-season and fans bashing Buffalo for the way they rebuilt the secondary. Through 5 games they might be our best unit. Maybe...just maybe these guys know what they are doing...

Yes. Still has the potential to be a great trade. The picks themselves are a moot point. It's what you do with the picks that counts. As of right now, the results of the trade are KC took the QB and we have Tre White. White obviously has been the more productive of the 2 so far. Now what makes or breaks the trade is that extra number 1. Do we use it to move up for a QB? Does a QB drop in our lap? Do we sign a FA QB and use it on a oline or WR? Still a long way to go to debate this trade.

Exactly. We have been told year in and year out that this team is close and only a few changes are needed. This hasn't been the case. So year 1 the process is to rebuild the defense. Why? Because a good defense keeps you competitive...keeps you in games. So far we have lost 2 games. Both on the road. Both where we had the ball with a chance to win and couldn't get it done. Year 2 will obviously be committed to improving the offense. I strongly believe there will be a huge turnover on that side of the ball. Wouldn't shock me if we have 3 or 4 new starters on online. New WRs, new TE, and yes, a new RB in addition to a new QB. I like what they have done with the defense. No one thought our secondary would be any good...but it's become the core of a very strong defense and will keep getting better. I get the whole "it's been 17 years...." blah blah blah but let's build an actual contender and not a team that can make the playoffs once then start on the new streak of playoff misses.

Them or Them (Bills Jets Bud Light Commercial)

If ya gotta ask...you aren't as hardened as you think... -
I do not like Tyrod as a player. I think he is severely limited in his passing ability, doesn't settle in the pocket and is way too tentative in throwing the ball. That said, he is the best option we have on the roster right now. Peterman, a rookie who looked "ok" against 2nd team, 3rd team and fodder players in the preseason is not going to fare well. Some want to say...well Dak did it...but really it's no true comparison. Dak DOMINATED those low roster players whereas Peterman just looked "ok". If we had a back up that had some experience I would fully endorse a switch. But putting a green rookie behind that line, with those receivers, with the running game getting stuffed and the play calling being iffy at best is a quick way to not win again this year.

Gameday Thread Bills @ Cincy 2nd Half

I think with the injuries mounting on offense...time to split Shady out wide almost exclusively in this game. Get him the ball on the outside and let Tolbert soften up this Bengals D. -

Brady rather enjoys being pounded from what I hear. -

Add one player to our team right now
BuffaloBillyG replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. I'm building a team...lol. In all seriousness, Antonio and Julio are amazing. Both would be in the talk for top 20 all time WR list. But for me I love the fit Hill would have here as well as his explosive play style being fun to watch. Besides for these type threads it's easy to pick a All Pro regardless of fit. You don't love the Wang? Ed Wang in this offense would be amazing. -
Lee Smith: EJ Manuel didn't have what he has now
BuffaloBillyG replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok, so if (when) EJ shows he can't play at a competent level he still has that sweet babysitting job for the Smith kids lined up. So that's something. Seriously he is a good guy. If the talent was there with him he is exactly the kind of guy to build around. Unfortunately, aside from a comeback win against the Panthers...his career highlights mostly involve hard counts. -

Tyreek Hill He is what Tavon Austin was supposed to be. Has speed to take the top off defenses, is really good at picking up RAC and can even help on special teams. Plus it would weaken KC a bit and hopefully lower that pick a bit...😂😂 -

Taylor is a subpar QB, but one heck of a football player. His athletic ability makes up for what his arm lacks. JMO. -
Appearently the head coach of a 3-1 team does.

Boldin does want to play football
BuffaloBillyG replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ironically his claim was that he wanted to do more for social injustice. Haven't heard a peep from him after he left..meanwhile the NFL has been front page national news daily through the last 2 weeks. Major platform that he really could have benefitted from. -
Activate PS, WR and or TRADE, Thoughts?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Gamache518's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Most likely, we will activate someone off PS and/or bring back Brown. There is absolutely no reason to give up future draft capital for Matthews being out approximately 4 weeks...one of which is the bye week.
