This is a very valid point. And your breakdown of him was nice. The best comparison I have seen for Josh Allen was earlier today. In essence; Josh Allen is like a nice piece of furniture from IKEA. He comes in and is really nice and all the parts are in the box, you just need to put it all together. Now, I don't know if Allen will end up more like Big Ben or more like Ryan Mallett. No one does. But Allen needs work (and yes, all the guys coming out do). I don't know if this team is set up for him to put it all together at this time. We saw the drop off when he had less talent. That's exactly what he's walking into here. We also don't have a very experienced QB coach, a defensive minded HC. We don't even have an experienced vet QB that can help him out (Like a McCown). In the right setting I could see him do well. The Giants for him would be perfect imo. But here? My hunch is we don't have the tools in place to help him take it to the next level. And add to get him we would need to likely add extra high draft picks to the mix and move to get him. Just sounds like a bad move. Again, in the right setting I could see him flourish. I just don't see here as the right fit.

Not in the least. With access to these talking heads via Twitter, they have been asked about this rumor since last week. It's like the old "telephone game" one person say one thing and by the time it comes back the whole narrative is different. Common sense will tell you that's really all this is. I understand being hopeful and just itching to believe in SOMETHING going down. If you read back through that kids whole story there are at least 5 times that it's easy to see that this is a made up story. Read his whole timeline...he's never successfully leaked any of this supposed information his GM has had. Not even the Incognito issue...which he claimed to know ahead of time.

I'd say it's more likely that some random kid having a boss that is bff with Russ Brandon...and Russ knows this huge plan...and is blabbering about it. But that's maybe just me.

I don't mind at all the Giants or Browns not trading out. I don't see Denver or the Giants taking a QB. As long as the Colts don't trade to a different QB needy team we would still have the same options at 7 as we would at 4 imo. And at a lower cost.

Well, in what I say is next it's Darnold 1 and Mayfield 3. That's who I think is going there anyways. I'm really hoping it turns out different but what I see happening is this: 1. Darnold -Cle 2. Chubb -NYG 3. Mayfield NYJ 4. Barkley (or one of the DBs)-Cle 5. Nelson -Den 6. Allen -Buffalo. I just can't shake the feeling that Allen is much more of what Beane would view as his type of player. And IMHO, picking Allen would be a mistake. Giving up extra picks for Allen would be even worse.

I agree with what some have stated. All 4 AFC East teams will likely take a QB at some point in this draft. Bills and Jets go in 1st round. Patriots in round 2 or 3 and Dolphins in round 3 to 5 imo.

This is one of the biggest false statements I see around here in my opinion. Yes, it was reported that the Bills called and inquired about what the Steelers were looking to get to move him. But it was never about him. I'm sure they called about other WRs on the trade block as well. It was about figuring out fair market value for the Benjamin trade. Beane has eluded to this a few times as well. I liken it to car shopping. Even if you know where you want to buy, you would be a fool not to browse other lots and make sure the place you're buying from is charging a fair price.
