Why Jake Locker walked away from football.

Matt Moore, Chase Daniel and Chad Henne agree. -

There you go assuming again. And there you go with your "old faithful" retort of "oh, you have a different opinion, you clearly don't know anything". Have a great day fella. You just keep being you! -
Why Russ Brandon Still Has A Job.
BuffaloBillyG replied to Paulus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree. I do believe Russ talks to Beane and weighs in. I mean, if you worked for the Bills, wouldn't you? But I don't think it sways Beane's thinking at all. -

No, I get that. But it's a very poor take from fans. We as fans haven't sat in a room and talked to him. Haven't taken the time to interview everyone the kids been in contact with since basically the womb. We know what media wants us to know. It's also a narrative that could be used for a LOT of these kids coming out. Or is Josh Rosen that special that he's the only one with interests and goals outside football? -

This is a really nice story. Tons of respect for Locker and his decision. It's a stretch to say imo that it has anything to do with Rosen and where he's drafted. 2 different people with much different outlooks. By that logic Roquan Smith may retire early because Chris Borland retired early. If Rosen slides it's simply because teams view him as a guy that's darn good but may not have a ton of room to get better. Or they like another guy more. Or politics (NYJ especially). -
Bills Go 7-9 this Season
BuffaloBillyG replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
7 wins is fair. All in all though, in this league the biggest thing is not who you play, but when you play them. Can you catch a team that's coming in banged up a steal a win? Can you get a couple of calls to go your way and steal another? Of course, it's also hard to say what's a fair win total before we know who our QB will be. Who grabbed that MLB position? Did we get some WR help? -

I didn't talk about throws Taylor MISSED instead was talking about the ones he was too conservative to actually THROW. I know, you miss Taylor. I get it. But as a QB, he was (in his time here) a lower tier starting QB. As a QB he is mediocre. He's a heck of an athlete though. -

Yea, he turned the ball over but was actually playing and not being conservative. -

It's flawed...yet you don't know what my idea of average is. Very interesting counter point you have there. -

Absolutely. It's one of the reasons that he has so few 4th quarter comebacks IMO. Oddly one of the games that I though he looked the most comfortable in was the 2nd half of the Charger game. Game was lost so he was just out there. A lot less pressure on him to be careful and he slung it around pretty well. The guy can play...when he plays. The Tennessee game that he basically won by himself...another example of what he could be. Truthfully, some of it I'm certain is on coaches wanting him to play conservative. But you have to be willing to take...as Beane said... calculated risks. -

And yet Sam Darnold is going to be a top 2-3 pick despite his turnover issues. How odd. And if the other QB MAKES the play then I don't see it as a turnover. That's a broad assumption on your behalf. If you can assume that I can assume that when someone says makes the play it's a success. Tomato/potato I suppose. -
Would you be ok with this.
BuffaloBillyG replied to billsfan714's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely not. I'd see what the Broncos at 5 were looking for instead. -

It's not literally true, but it's really not that far away. For every turnover he didn't throw there was a play that even an average QB would have made that he left on the field. You can cost your team in many other ways than just turnovers. -

Leadership. Work ethic. Being well dressed (or so they say). Literally all he brings to the table. Eventually they will actually play football. They will see he doesn't move an offense. Holds the ball too long. Plays way too conservative. And they will yell and scream to play the rookie.- 404 replies

Brandon Marshall - released from NYG

We should sign him just to let Dez know there's no space for him. Then cut him after. -
Poll: Who Do We Take With Our First Pick?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not my first (or second or third) choice but I feel like we end up with Josh Allen. -
Near Halloween? So now when we fling "Brady Mouthpieces" on the field we can wear disguises.
