Is Vander Eshe to Edmunds the same as Juju to Zay
BuffaloBillyG replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. I said once in a while it would be nice to get the guy that has instant success. Instant gratification. Doesn't mean they will be the better player in 3 years. -

Ummm...Allen, Edmunds, Lawson. All players that needed time due to development or injury. Yup, White had a good rookie year. 1 of the last 4 1st rounders that did. Incidentally, he's also the one picked latest in the 1st round of the 4 which goes to show draft position isn't always the most important thing. -

LVE and Jaylon Smith are an incredible young LB duo. Much like I see Milano and Edmunds being going forward. Difference is you will hear a LOT more about LVE and JS because they play for Dallas. It does, however get a bit frustrating in my opinion that Buffalo always seems to draft the guy that "needs time" and isn't an instant gratification. -
Was Baker Mayfield a DOUCHE Yesterday?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get that, but most 23 years olds don't see the world isn't about them. After the game he shook Hue's hand. Made a verbal jab or two. Not really a huge deal to me. I'd be prone to agree if Baker is still making comments like that when they play again in a few weeks. -

The good thing about the world we live in is everyone can have an opinion. I stick by my opinions usually. You did enough for the board to get a discussion going, and that's really what matters at the end of the day. It doesn't matter what I said. I'm sure that's what you are thinking on your side. -

There are a lot of things people do that can be taken as douchey. For me, when people misspell or purposely mispronounce someone's name...I find that rather douchey. From Baker's standpoint, I think it's less that Jackson took a job but rather he didn't do the job he was supposed to, got fired and then did a media circuit to blame everyone else. I found those actions by Hue, a grown man, to be extremely douchey. Baker could have handled it with a more bland response, but he didn't. -
Ok you got me. An interception in his rookie year clearly means he will be better in 3 years time. Maybe you're better off asleep. ?

He has. Seriously, the guy is 20 and calling the defense on the field. He still has work to do, but once he trusts his eyes more he's gonna be a force. And he's a Buffalo Bill. That feels really nice.

Derek Anderson must have really gotten walloped
BuffaloBillyG replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I figured aboit a week ago they would end up putting him on IR and get the roster spot back. Still lets him work with Allen, but with Barkley here now DA shouldn't be needed to see the field again. It also allows him to get paid, which is a classy thing to do for a guy that's seemingly respected in the locker room and that they drug out of retirement. -
LVE had a great game. Edmunds is 20 and a physical freak. Hes getting better as the year goes on. LVE will be a good player, Edmunds has the chance to be special. Ask me again in 3 years, but I feelblike we made the right choice for a decade over the safe choice for a season.

This for some reason is what I can see. We continue on with Allen and Barkley. Typically we only carry 2 QBs. I think it's a real chance they move Anderson to IR. He can still tutor Allen, not occupy a roster spot and not have to worry about being forced to play again. Peterman will be cut. No reason to add to PS. No team is giving him a spot on a 53 man roster. At WORST someone like Gruden signs him to a PS, which we can grab him from if needed due to another round of QB injury. More likely he will be on his couch waiting to,see,if we need him back for a game or 2.

Bills Mafia Support Nathan Peterman

Actually those shirts look pretty nice. I'm actually wanting one just for nostalgia someday. -
At tnis point your best bet would be to pick up a couple backups of QBs that may be benched soon or teams that give up a lot of QB hits and be ahead of the curve due to injury. Even with the arrest, Lauletta may see the field. Winston may end up back. Not kidding: AJ McCarron may see the field. Never know with Gruden. Kevin Hogan? And deal from ANY position of strength...overpay for a QB in a trade if you can. Your fantasy's version of Brandon Beane for not upgrading this far into the season???

Friend wants to go to a home game..... I ask why?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll be that guy. Because someday you or one of your friends will be dead and whoever is left may just regret not having that one extra chance to hang out together. Life is too short to overly obsess about teams records, performances or possible Playoff contention. Go have a good day with some people that can stand to be around you for that long. Have some food. Have some fun. Yell your heads off for at least a quarter. Life's way too short to ask "Why should I". -
(hypothetical) Alabama vs. Bills spread
BuffaloBillyG replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone likes to use the "idea" that the Bills can't score as a reason. Do people even realize Alabama would have to try and score on one of the top defensive units in the NFL? -
