  1. Baker has actually said that Stefanski was pushing him to play when he probably shouldn't have. Then when they finally shut him down it's been reported that Stefanski wanted to move on to Watson.
  2. With the season being 17 games, every week is a must win. This one is most important because it's the next game. "Pucker Factor" is low. We routinely have lost back to back early season games under McDermott and finished strong. I expect a long win streak starting today.
  3. I think it's absolutely bonkers with the glaring need at WR that the local media isn't badgering McDermott or Beane for updates on Gabe Davis. Complete radio silence on his rehab.
  4. Well in that long rambling response, there are a few things I feel I probably should point out. 1. I don't disagree with you that Poyer being brought back should never have happened. But it did. And that's where we are. And yes, having his experience next to Bishop will help. I, too would have rather seen someone else brought in. 2. You can't, by and large, predict injuries. Especially in rookies that were fairly healthy in college. Ironically, the guy they drafted with I jury concerns has been fine. It's a rough sport. 3. People still refer to "the process"? That's hysterical. 4. Pegula hasn't shown he can produce a championship caliber team. But outside of KC and Philadelphia, who has? 5. Carolina coming in on a 3 game streak won't help them when the ball gets kicked off today. Nor will the Bills 2 straight losses hurt them. It's the 60 minutes after kickoff that will define today. 6. Here's a swerve. I don't care if KC beats us next week. We always beat them in regular season and lose in the playoffs. Maybe a loss to them in regular season flips the script. 7. I love the hidden "FIRE MCBEANE" rhetoric. Let me guess. This has been your stance since 13 seconds.
  5. Josh Allen is at his very best when the Bills can consistently run the ball. This is true for most too QBs. Gotta use the legs of James Cook early to open up the pass. We absolutely need to see Ray Davis step up. Any down he's in is basically a lost down. We need to have him going so Cook can take a break when needed without killing the drive.
  6. The way he handled the Baker Mayfield situation, he screwed himself.
  7. Really looking forward to seeing how the new faces on defense do today. Let also hope Brady didn't use the bye week to come up with more cutesie plays. Just like up, win your matchup.
  8. Yes. I'd let the Jags pick. Our first rounder this year should be higher than what the Jags spent. And much lower than the cost would have been to move up for him last year.
  9. I think (barring injury to himself or another CB) around 10 snaps. 1-2 series type deal.
  10. If anything, he's got those alligator arms and is contact shy because he's afraid of the hits. I get it. And I'm probably going to be downvoted to oblivion for even mentioning it... But this coaching staff was able to get Hamlin in the headspace to take on contact after his incident. I think they can work their magic to get Thomas ready to play again, too
  11. Disagree. They don't really need another WR, let alone a costly one. Now Pittsburgh, that's the team I'd watch out for
  12. I agree. So far this year there have been 3 key components that were outstanding last year that have regressed to the means. Forcing turnovers are one of them. Second was the low amount of sacks given up last year. Third is the fact that no one outside of Allen caused a turnover last year on offense.
  13. His offense has been toast since they changed how they call presnap motion and he hasn't been smart enough to adjust. He frequently abandons the run for extremely long stretches of the game even though Achane is their best weapon and players just don't seem to respect him. Why would we want that here?
  14. Maybe it would wake Keon up a bit. A bit of actual competition would be good for him.
  15. I think a change of scenery would help his outlook. I don't think he trusts Duvall Barbie throwing him the ball. He's hung him out a few times. We have built a strong culture. What good is that if you can't bring in a guy like this and help turn him around? Wonder what position on Defense they are hoping to land? Package together AJE, Dorian Williams and a round 2 pick.
  16. Then cross Waddles name off. That would result in the Dolphins taking a $23M cap hit next year. Of course many said Diggs was unmovable due to the $31M dead cap hit the Bills would take. We know how that turned out
  17. Was he though? Or did he get a pass because everyone focused on Hamlin's poor play? PFF (and I realize the source so of course take it with a grain of salt) actually had Hamlin rated higher than Rapp last year.
  18. If the '85 Bears defense was called by Bobby Babich, they would have been fortunate to make the Wild Card round.
  19. As owner? Absolutely. Several. Unfortunately this will be about 50 years from now and we will all be tailgating among the clouds. Or fire.
  20. I think that's a bit of an over reaction. Gabriel may not be elite but I can see him with a long NFL career as a backup as well. Look at Marcus Mariota. We need to do something for sure. I think if we had all our WRs healthy a case could be made that Gave Davis would be our top WR. That's absolutely bonkers. What's going on with him anyways? I know he's rehabbing from the torn miniscus, but there have been no updates at all. If only we had people in Buffalo sports media that would ask questions rather than basically ask Sean "So, what do you want to talk about?"
  21. Well if they bring Poyer up to play next to him I think having a guy who is basically a coach in the field can be an asset to Bishop. He seems like a smart kid. Just needs reps and experience. I think the tools are there.
  22. So the glass half full would be that there's nowhere to go but up!
  23. Yeah, it's seems like every week Bishop is becoming less and less of an issue on the field. Still a lot of knee jerk disrespect for him on the boards IMO. As far as Rapp to IR goes, I hate to see any player injured. However, this feels like an "addition by subtraction" moment. Maybe he takes a month off to get right and come back better. Maybe this a long with Hamlin being IRd earlier for es Beane to look outside the organization and make a move be it a trade ord a FA signing.
  24. Yup. Agree that may be their thoughts process. But they still have Njoku, and the rookies Boyd and Fannin to catch passes. They have Judkins to take some pressure off as well. Them moving from Jeudy to help with the rebuild is very plausible to me.
