He looked very solid and competent, especially for a young guy that missed so much time. I expect him to take some lumps next week. And that's fine. Keep getting him snaps and experience leading to the post season. Hopefully, he makes Tre Obsolete soon.

Yeah, I gave him props during the game and even in the game balls thread. Year after year people call for him to be released. He's a heck of a football player. Expect him to see a lot of snaps next week too. They like to use him against Kansas City.

He's a "bruising back" that dropped about 15 pounds last off-season. Now he's just a guy taking a roster spot. He has poor vision and a lack of burst. Good hands as a receiver, I'll give him that. But he's below JAG level.

Just my own opinion from watching the game. I liked what I saw out of the bunch of them yesterday. I'll add in I thought the LBers had a very nice game. Both Williams and Shaq were very active. I didn't notice Larry O very much, but as a DT that probably means he was doing his job. Mad Max was impressive. Hoecht was a demon all over the place. Those two in particular really brought some fire that's been lacking. I also think McDermott's more aggressive inputs pumped the guys up. Defensive guys don't want to be passive and sit back. They want to hunt. And after 7 sacks yesterday...the freezer is stocked. As some have said, it's one thing to look as good as they did against Andy Dalton and the Panthers. Let's see what they can do against Andy and Pat this week.

Same. I like that he's more aggressive. Of course if we recall back to the year he called the defense, sometimes it would bite him. But if we are going to get beat on a play I'd rather it be because they were over aggressive rather than playing 15 yards off the ball

It would be their debut. Today, Larry O, Hoecht and Mad Max made their Buffalo Bills debut. Next week I hope some new WRs make their debut as well.

I agree with you. Davis has been abysmal all year. It's Gore time. I've said this for weeks However, with all our injuries it's hard to call him up since we have had to call up DTs and Safety help week in and week out.

Kincaid was out snapped by Hawes today 34-14. I think the success of the running game had a lot to do with Dalton's lack of targets

Brown is flat out unavailable. BTJ probably isn't moving anywhere unless some team blows the Jags away with an offer. There really aren't many good WR options out there. If I'm Beane I'm calling Cleveland about Jerry Jeudy right now.

Exactly this. McDermott, right or wrong, has never been one to publicly shame other coaches or players. The thing about Babich is that by all accounts from players/coaches and those in the know is that Babich is actually an excellent coach. But coaching players and calling a defense are two separate skills. It's ok that he can't call the plays as long as McDermott recognizes that and takes over. It happens a lot in the NFL.
