  1. Honestly I wonder if Shady was hoping to head back to Philly, and when we didn't move him he somewhat checked out.
  2. Dilfer>Marino Foles>Rivers If those don't sit well with you, the answer is Kelly...and you aren't a nincompoop.
  3. So, Bell is putting out feelers for the team that's expected to have the most cap room. Shocking.
  4. John Miller was already flagged for holding his too long.
  5. Maybe the should make drinkable coffee.
  6. Not sure, but I have read they are friends.
  7. I think he gets at least 1 interview this off season. Teams are so desperate to find the "next offensive wiz kid" that I think OCs start getting attention earlier than he should. I'm betting someone sees Allens progress, sees he has both NE and Alabama ties and it looks on paper way better then it should. It only takes 1 team, like the Browns with Petitne. My bet is he will be on a short list of candidates somewhere like Jacksonville.
  8. It is a nice start. In my mind next year, Foster is the speed, maybe a 2/3 type splitting with a high draft pick. McKenzie to me is more a "weapon" then WR. Kind of like a Tarik Cohen role. Bit of everything. Jones, unless he steps the receiving part of his game up is fighting for a roster spot as he doesn't currently add to special teams. Need to find that #1 target type guy.
  9. While I agree what Turley initially did was fine, he took it wayyyy over the line. Step in, defend your guy. Of course. But wait to do the hitting when the ball is snapped. Beat em down between whistles and they don't have energy for that stuff.
  10. I want guys that can play well, play hard, and beat their opponents whistle to whistle. The extra stuff, while fantastic for the fans to see, sometimes has a way of hurting the team.
  11. At the end of the day, they are just picks. Draft picks are really over valued. Important, yes. But over valued the same.
  12. This. If there is a guy they feel is worth getting Beane isn't shy to move around.
  13. I believe Bo Scarbrough is on the Jags PS. I'd take a look at him if so.
  14. So many BBMB "Stevie Johnson" argument flashbacks right now....?
  15. Because off the field refs would be subject to only seeing what broadcasts choose to show. And having an official with the ability to review differnt camera angles would open the door to severly slow the game down with extremely late flags.
  16. I think they still go Chubb. Kid has been spectacular. Allen, while he looks like he's going to progress and become good is still a bit off. Keenum hasn't been terrible. Coaching not playing the offense to his and Lindsay's strength has been an issue there. I'm wondering if the Cards or Dolphins arent kicking themselves more that they didnt give up a bit more to get Allen. Or if the Phins regret not taking Lamar. Tbose should be good topics to bring up as well!
  17. They are trying to officiate the game the same way they always have. Issue is, players these days are bigger, faster and more action happens in a split second. First off, they should have better rules. Rules that don't rely on "judgement calls". Stop changing rules every off season and then pushing the new ones as "most important" and often least understood. There should be at MINIMUM 3 more zebras on the field. Reassign responsibilities of each guy on the field. This would help make up for the added speed of the game as opposed to how it was 30 years ago.
  18. I would be very happy if the Jets get either of those. McCarthy is a horrible play caller. Horrible. Cowher hasn't coached in a dozen years. I'd be willing to bet in today's NFL he would be out of place.
  19. If they get a QB that works out in the next draft then it was a good move. Barkley is a force and would help any QB that is brought in.
  20. I'm all in favor of letting him go, as long as he takes Chris Ivory with him. Coming off injury Ajayi may be had at less than market value. If so I take a swing at him. Tevin Coleman would be another guy to look at. Take a rookie in the draft and have a group that can do different things, kind of how New England has. The diversity of their backfield has been such an asset over the years. Hard to prepare for. And something Daboll should be well versed at having.
  21. They did. They couldn't get possession of the ball. Football is still a team game. This is why a defense still matters.
  22. He really is. Showing hes more than a 1 trick pony as well.
