McDermott Game Day Decision Making
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills Fan reactions: 2019: 4th and 3 @ midfield - Punt "McD is too conservative playing Jauron ball. Needs to to for it" 2021: 4th and 3 @ midfield- Goes for it "McD is a horrible game manager. Clearly should have punted" 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤷🏻♂️ -
Inside the stadium now. They have Breida working off to the side on kick returns. Something Moss doesn't add. With Stephenson out he may be needed there a well.

I mean, it probably didn't stop him.🤷🏻♂️

Ah. I see you were having trouble using your words like a big boy. It's ok, Slugger. Have a Capri Sun and we can try again after lunch!

True. But he's such a Renegade!

While he may have blitzed "72 times" last season how many of those playes ended up in a positive outcome for the Bills? I'm certainly you have those numbers at your fingertips, right? And where would that number fall amoung others in the league? Or is this a case of just cherry picking a stat? While the 72 blitzes you claim ended with zero pressures he did have 2 sacks. And again, on how many of his blitzes did someone else get the pressure? Hiw many times did it force an early pass? Tell the whole story. While I admit there are certainly areas he can improve (can't everyone?) he does receive a fair amount of unjust hate because in my opinion of where he was drafted and how Joe Fan thinks his position should be played.

Edmunds: Being that he's not a 10 sack a season guy he will never live up to the draft position im the eyes of some fans. He will continue to do what is asked of him and play his 1/11 position instead of stuffing the stat sheet. He will make the Pro-Bowl (again) and some Bills fans will be upset by it (again). Oliver: Much was made about him playing out of position last season. Looking forward to seeing how he's used this year. I can easily see an 8-10 sack season and improvement in other areas coming. Davis: Easily my favorite for a true breakout. He's going to start the year as the 4th WR, it looks. I wouldn't be shocked if he sees the majority of snaps after week 8 or 9 in 2 WR sets. My guess is this is Cole's last year in Buffalo due to age, price tag and possibly nonfootball related reasons combined. As long as Davis is steadily progressing I would expect him to phase in more as Cole is phased out. I think Sanders catches a lot of balls this year too on those short underneath routes. A minor breakout candidate of mine: Gilliam. I can see him with 2-3 rushing TDs (saving Josh the contact on some QB sneaks) and another 3-4 in the air in a Lee Smith type statline.

Per Nick Wright: Bills will be a fringe contender.
BuffaloBillyG replied to Leonitas's topic in The Stadium Wall
True, but in my opinion it's a bit premature to be offended. The team has been solid 3 of the last 4 years and is still trending up...but aside from 1 division title we haven't won anything yet. Reading these boards there is an air of entitlement streaming that just hasn't been earned as of yet. Soon, in my opinion. But not yet. -

Remember a time when the Bills weren't even part of the conversation? Pepperige Farms remembers... -
I have the Bills at 12-5 this year. An injury in a key spot, a few players being unavailable short notice on game day due the the reason that shall not be named or a game bad breaks happen and we could see 11-6 or even 10-7. Could work the other ways and we see 14-3, too. Dolphins don't scare me too much as aside from Tua at QB that oline of theirs looks to be shakey at BEST. Jets are still 2 years away from even considering them. Patriots are gonna try and win games the way we did under Rex. Run and play stout defense. That D will definitely keep them in games. 10-7 wouldn't shock me if everything falls their way. They could be in the mix.

Changing up how I watch the Bills game

Both. Absolutely. Think of a mystical force with a roulette wheel of doom. He is both punishing for all fan related behavior and randomly spinning the wheel of doom. The ONLY way to stave off the wheel aping are with carefully crafted rituals and proper jersey rotation. -

Can you please wait until we play the Texans? Yes -
Calling it now: Devin will be a 1000 yard back this year
BuffaloBillyG replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
With the addition of a 17th game that comes to 58.8 yards a game (if healthy for all 17). 1000 yard seasons aren't really that impressive even in a pass priority offense. I'll go as far to say he had better step it up last that range or Beane needs to be RB hunting next season. -
And Hollister is a Jag now. Great landing g spot for him

Hopefully THIS will put the Ertz thing to bed....

That's not what he said when I ran into him at the CVS in Orchard Park an hour ago. -
I am not discounting how talented he can be. He seems to pick and choose when he plays well. His MVP season he was motivated by a Super Bowl run...and his play was a bit part of that. However sometimes the drama outweighs the talent. He left the Bills to go to a contender (can't fault him for that) and now he finds himself in a similar situation in NE with being part of a rebuild. Of course the drama kicks back up. While he was here he was always on the cusp of being great and never really got there...wonder why?

Justin Ellis was cut by the Ravens. Big 350lb NT. That's about the only interior guys I have seen so for. Now we know why Hollister was really dropped. 😂🤣😂

Honestly would love Njoku. I think he's got some untapped talent.
