  1. I can see the threads now. They are GLORIOUS!!! Has the term "Restock for Lock" been taken yet? I may want to copyright that one...
  2. Yup, good QBs put up good QBR. And that's wonderful. But again, to cherry pick a stat that is outdated is just not a good argument. If you want to line it up with guys that had the top QBR that season also winning a Super Bowl...great. Valid. To talk about career QBR? Flimsy at best. Here's a list of the top 20 all time. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_rating_career.htm Notice that 11 of the 20 on this list never won a Super Bowl. Also if you talk QBR understand that it get convoluted after time. Ryan Tannehill has a higher QBR than Dan Marino. So he would be the best Dolphin QB of all time? Also notice that what that what was posted on here was altered by count. Montana is 13th in QBR but somehow ends up 10th on his list.
  3. I have sources that can confirm Jaime is Flo's love child with the "Can you hear me now" guy. And they are buying all kinds of land in south Buffalo.
  4. Now that's not just dense it's just plain dumb. If give you it's the most important..but far from the only position that matters. Instead of looking at a cherry picked and outdated metric look at the sum of the parts. There is a reason that QBs like Rivers and Luck haven't won a Super Bowl. There's a reason why Brees and Rodgers have each won 1 despite being like all-time greats. You have to build a roster. I said earlier...I do agree we need that top guy. And the sooner the better. But to think that a QB is all that matters is just plain wrong. And if all you have is that QB and he goes down (and he eventually will if you don't have blocking for him...but I guess Oline doesn't matter) what do you have then? The Colts and Pack were good examples of that this year.
  5. And? QB rating is one of the most USELESS stats out there. That's like saying 47 of the 52 Super Bowls have had a QB with brown eyes.
  6. Allen is a risk, but if Darnold, Mayfield and Rosen are gone then I'd rather have him over Jackson or Rudolph. Allen does scream bust...but if the light ever turned on for him and he reached his potential he's deadly at that point. Big if though.
  7. You have to build a roster to compete. For how great Rodgers and Brees have been they've each won it all once. Why is that do you think? Being that we have lacked a real franchise QB it's really easy to say "ZOMG IFL WE AD ONE SUPER BOWL EVERY YEAR"... But honestly that is far from the truth. You need a top QB but you also have to surround him with talent. And this just in..it takes more than 1 off-season to get it done. I agree though, if we don't get that top guy this year with all the guys coming out and all the assets we have it'd be a shame.
  8. Honestly in regards to Allen, if we take him at 12 I'd be ok with that. If we moved up it would be totally dependent on where and for how much.
  9. Possible? Absolutely. I have my doubts that he's going to get it right based on his QB selection history. For all we know right now he traded to 3 for Josh Allen or Mason Rudolph.
  10. I'll say this much. I'd much rather be sitting at 12 with our assets and Brandon Beane making the decision rather that sit at 3 and giving up 3 high picks to let Maccagnan make the call.
  11. I totally get that, even said so in a post above. He's a good get for a team that needs SOMETHING safe at the position. He's no longer term answer and he needs a lot of help from a strong defense and a strong running game. But he's a nice football player.
  12. This is where I've been for a while now. This team isn't a QB away from constant playoff seasons. Where we are at now we need that QB, but also 2 solid drafts and a nice FA crop between them. Beane will make a move IMO but he is building a team and needs to find the best value. Thursday can't come soon enough.
  13. Desperate teams pay desperate prices. The thing I worry about is Arizona knows what we CAN offer. So any deal they propose has to be a lights out deal. Talking a 1,2,3 this year plus some next year type deal. I believe Beane wants to trade but has a firm grasp on the price he would pay and won't give much over that. He just seems like the kind of GM that wants the best value out of each pick.
  14. So, the opportunity to draft any of the top QBs and the Browns pull a Mulligan and go with Jackson? C'monnnn Maaaannnn Lauletta in the 1st round? "Realistic"
  15. Call me kooky-dukes but I'm way more mindful of Arizona jumping up high and taking a QB then I am the Giants or Broncos taking one. Real talk- Arizona is the biggest threat imo
  16. That's what I figured you meant. But just wanted to clarify. Fwiw, I'm a big "fit" guy. You could have the best player in the world but if he's in a bad situation it increases his chances to fail. All I can think of with Rosen in NY (Mayfield as well) is that the media in NY is relentless. I can see them creating issues by baiting Rosen for quotes easily. Controversial statements create cash. That was sooooo 2 weeks ago.
  17. Oh, I'm with you on Ragnow. I'd even move up in round 2 to get him. But right now with what we have on the roster if (and it's a huge if) we have a pick at 22 it has to be a LBer. There are a few that will be there that will be great picks. Curious to hear why you think that? A disaster for who? The Bills? Jets? Rosen?
  18. It's not jealousy in the least. Yes, at the end of the day it will likely work out for them and that's super. They will get someone they want at a higher price then if they stood still and watched the draft unfold and make a deal according to what happened. In all likelihood, they will come away with Baker Mayfield imo. And that's a good return. Then we all get to see how the ensuing Baker Vs NY Media plays out. That should be entertaining to watch.
  19. Even with Wood and Cogs retirement our weakest spot is still RT imo. Groy, Bodine and a later pick to compete should be able to compete. Add into that Vlad did play better down the stretch and John Miller, while forgotten about played extremely well just 2 seasons ago in a similar style blocking scheme as we are expecting to run this year. At LBer we have...Milano. And not much else.
  20. No. Jets moving up that early was a panic plain and simple. Where they were sitting they likely would still have had one of the Big 4 drop in their lap or on draft Day could have had a good shot of sliding to 4 to get their guy ahead of Denver if that's what they feared. And for way less. Being at 12 with the picks we have we have a shot to move up and get the QB we want or improve our roster greatly.
  21. Every time I see a mock with a G/C as the pick at 22 when good linebackers are still on the board I know the writer knows little about our needs and just reads headlines. I could see the Pats moving for him. They could easily believe the Patriot Way and sitting behind Brady helps him hit his ceiling.
  22. Just remember to keep your word if it happens.
  23. I clicked each box including "other". Because it will be one of them...or other.
