  1. There is really no reason not to have Allen in there right now.
  2. Remember this week the thread where Ravens fans were predicting a shutout?
  3. This whole team just looks unprepared and unmotivated thus far.
  4. Wow. That is a shocker. On the other side we are only 1 Flacco injury away from Lamar Jackson playing full time. A bit surprused RGIII is inactive after his good preseason. Yes, Lewis is the guy we got after cut down from the Patties.
  5. I strongly dislike Bucky Brooks and his over the top hot takes he normally has. That said this take is a fair point and not anything different than you would read right here on this very site. The line has looked bad. I do think it will look better than it has, but until it does it's a major concern.
  6. But what about a team of well oiled studs?
  7. First thing I'd to to get Mills ready for that Charger game is to sit him down and show him the video of that last Charger game. Show him that mic'd up footage of what Bosa was saying on the field and try to light a fire under his arse. Wasn't it Mills a few years back that held a healthy JJ Watt in check? Seems, like a lifetime ago.
  8. I would figure those as different scenarios. In a blow out win, he's likely just handing the ball off, burning clock. In a blow out loss situation, let him get the reps, see if he can spark the offense. Either way, if you open him up to injury Peterman can still start the following week.
  9. Biggest difference between Allen and his situation and Jackson and his situation is this. In Baltimore they have an entrenched starter in Flacco. The only way Jackson sees play time is a slash role. If I'm not mistaken, Jackson is the #3 QB with RGIII being the backup. In Buffalo, Peterman is the starter. If you want Allen on the field, you start him over a Nate Peterman. Allen is also 1 injury away from starting. I think Jackson being more in the Joe Webb role from last year. If Jackson gets hurt a play and Flacco goes down, the still have RGIII. If Allen goes down doing some trick play and Peterman goes down...leaves us with Logan Thomas at QB. Risk/reward isn't the same.
  10. I tend to disagree. When he came out (and no, I dont care what round he was drafted in) hehad a small amount of buzz around him. In his first chance like it or not, he became a national punchline. Any man with any self worth is going to strive to prove himself. Now, as I stated no, he's not likely to be a franchise QB for any team. But he can still be what I believe he would have become . A back up, spot starter. I could easily still see him (if he shows well this year) having a Todd Collins/Chase Daniel type career.
  11. I've never seen him play a game from start to finish. I've never seen him win a game as the starting QB that didn't involve what an insurence agency would classify an "Act of God". I've never seen him quit either. I've never seen him make excuses. I've never seen him work harder than he did this off-season to improve. I've never seen a player with so much to prove. While I don't expect Nate to look like Rodgers 2.0 I am hopeful that the work he put in during the off-season and the addition of Brian Daboll can show he is at the very least a servicible spot starter in the NFL.
  12. ....send 42 anchovy pizzas and wings with nothing but ranch to Tom Brady. Every. Single. Day.
  13. I can see both points to an extent. This is likely Bell's biggest chance for a payday. The work rate they give him..lets just say he won't likely be as physically able to do the things he does now in 4 years. Gotta get all you can because the NFL is just 1 play away from being over at any time. Ask Kevin Everett. However from a teammates point of view, his holdout may be costing them money. Costing them opportunities. These are the guys that open the holes and help make you look good, and they ain't happy. You already look at the contract that Gurley got in LA and figure Bell will top the 60 million and 45 in guarantees that he got. I think Bell wants to shatter those marks.
  14. 19 for 29 263 yards. 1 TD 1 INT. 3 sacks taken 4 carries 19 yards 1TD
  15. I agree with that. But until Nate provides them something else to talk about...that is who he is. Its up to Peterman to show all the work he put in during the off-season was beneficial.
  16. This years breakout performer will be Brian Daboll. For never before Will a man accomplish so much with so little.
  17. Another poster upset that Colin Cowherd and other media members are making jokes at Peterman/Allen's expense with hints of insecurity and hidden "I didn't want Allen" agenda mixed in.
  18. If you picture in you mind that the poster you responded to is actually Josh Rosen himself, with that smug look on his face typing feverishly on his phone it actually becomes pretty funny.?
  19. "Our schedule is brutal" and "better QBs in the draft next year" are the mantras of people who are scared. Fear isn't for football. I would DEFINITELY take a repeat of getting to the playoffs for a second straight season. 2 seasons under McD and 2 playoffs...yea people take notice. Including those free agent type people that we always just seem to be a bartering chip fir them to get a contract from a better team. Having the "first pick in the draft" is no guarantee you will get a franchise changing player. It can be good sure, but thete is no promise its not, fools gold and another wasted season.
