  1. Sam Darnold will be average, but ride a strong defense and running game to the AFC Championship game for the next 2 seasons. He's on the Sanchez track.
  2. Jimmy G may not be super human after all. Marcus Mariota is made of glass. Sammy Watkins is still the ultimate decoy. We should have spent the money on oline instead of the dead money on AJM and Coleman. Detroit really is just Buffalo in a different uniform.
  3. Nate Orchard "Park" should be a pretty solid role player. With Murphy and Lawson not at 100% it makes sense.
  4. If it's not Star doing Hips Don't Lie whats even the point?
  5. Unless you count Mills who actually shut him down pretty well in an actual NFL game.
  6. Is Peterman wearing Staffords Jersey tonight?
  7. Aren't we the team that lifted our logo from Howard U?
  8. Nope. A leader knows WHEN to stay even keel and when to throw some fire out there. After yesterday he's going to stand there, say the effort was fine. Really?
  9. Smart is debatable if he stays with Peterman. Oh, I can imagine hes saying something different behind closed doors. Thats the teams business. Sorry, but standing there positive and happy go lucky and trying to tell us the pure crap he's shoveling now is an insult to a very passionate fanbase. Last year he did a wonderful job coaching up the roster. Just like last year he's showing he is a wishy washy coach.
  10. The difference is Belichick has earned the right to do what he pleases. It's not even that I want to hear him say what I want, but how about not attempting to make everything sound like a positive? How about not calling it a "learning experience" and call it what it was. An arse beating. Show some fire. Anything.
  11. Was just about to say the same. I have and will continue to support McD, but kind of getting tired of the blinders this guy must walk around with. His press conferences make him seem like a blithering idiot at times.
  12. Here's the issue I had with how things wotked out. They moved Taylor with no one but Peterman on the roster at QB. Then, possibly because of the dead cap situation sat back in free agency and took whatever QB was there after all the top guys were gone. Thete was a reported intrest in Bradford, but I believe it was more to get a feel of the market value than the player. The the draft hits and they take (aside from Lamar Jackson) the QB that reportedly needee the most time to develop. Leaving us a raw rookie, AJM and Peterman...somehow still hanging out. If They were going to go with Allen, love it. Like the pick and think he will be a fine QB. However, in my opinion It just doesn't seem well thought out.
  13. If McD names Peterman he loses the trust of the locker room. The media. The fan base. It would literally be the beginning of the end of his Buffalo tenure...and no I'm not overestimating. What should happen is a Trent Edwards repeat where the opening day starter is cut soon after opening day. Literally anyone can be brought in to be Allens back up with zero drop off. If they like Nate, want to give him a job on the practice squad running the scout team, then whatever. He just never needs to be in a uniform on game day again.
  14. Honestly, I brought this up on another thread, but the offense just looked dead with Peterman. Once Allen came in they showed SOME signs of a pulse. I'm wondering if they guys just feel like they can't and won't win with Nate, so they are just going through motions when he's there. Not a case of looking bad on purpose, and not that they looked like All Pros with Allen. But the wrong guy in that spot can take the wind out of a team right from the get go.
  15. It's a funny, sad situation McD has found himself in. Last year he started a rookie against the Chargers and I remember their defense said they took it personally. So does McD start a rookie for a second straight year against the Chargers, or walk to the podium and udder the same phrase as last year "We are going with Nate Peterman against the Chargers." Decisions like this will make one pull out their hair.
  16. 2 parts. 1, There isn't much in the FA QB market. Jones is, I agree a meh but at least hes a Peterman upgrade. 2. With how flat the team came out yesterday and then as you observed seemed to get some life when Allen came in it makes me wonder if the team just doesn't want to play for Peterman. Not that they looked bad on purpose or any of that nonsense, but they seemed to just have a "why bother, this guy can't win" feel when Nate was in.
  17. Hm. Trade McCoy. This is a new idea I am just reading about for the first time.
  18. Love me some Fitzy. Great guy. Of course next week Fitz will likey do Fitzy things and throw 4 picks.
  19. A lot of people on TV, radio, Twitter and anyone else that can have their opinions known will all say the same thing. And They aren't wrong.
  20. Absolutely not...and I am someone that SUPPORTS his right to the protests he has done. Let me run my own "process" on him. First and foremost, would he upgrade the roster? Yes, he would likely be an upgrade on Peterman. Not seeing him play in 2 years I would need to work him out. See uf hes in shape. Second, would he fit in with the locker room? That I cannot answer as I have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. For the sake of argument let's say he is a fit. Third, does he have any off the field issues that would detract from his availability (pending suspensions) or ability to play? I would say no to this as well. Now on to the intangibles. Would he want to come here? Unknown. Would he cause a distraction? Absolutely. Does his talent warrant the distraction? Absolutely not. At the end of the day, he really showed promise as a young player. Once Harbaugh bolted for Michigan, he regressed. I also would have a hard time justifying tothe league why I am bringing in a guy that is taking them to court and wouldn't want to risk being on the bad side of Goodell. All things considered, when players like Geno Smith and Peterman have a job, talent wise Kap has a place. When you add in the circus he would cause and the negative attention it would bring...his talent does not outweigh the negativity.
  21. Adding Mack to a defense that was already really good is just unfair. Then add Roq Smith to that...Monsters of the Midway just may be back in full force.
  22. Not to mention the DB had his helmet in Fosters gut before the ball got there...
  23. They looks embarrassed...as they should be. Glad to see there weren't and smiles. That always irks me after a big loss.
