I dislike "reports" like this. They mean absolutely nothing. Replace the word "source" with "agent" almost every time. Teams calling a players agent doesn't mean there is any interest in that player either.

I remember that game. What was odd about it is he still was the Phins 2nd leading rusher on the day (Ahmed went for 120) and the Patties couldn't stop the run. But if he can play ST, perhaps he has a shot at being active on game day and carving out a role.

Oh, I get that. But is he? RBs drop off cliffs performance wise every year. Just odd to me that a team with nothing on the RB room that was contending for a playoff push last year (Miami) gave him 68 touches last year. He looked really solid in 2018. A bit worse for wear in 2019 (had a lot of injuries) and was almost invisible last year. I'd say he has a lot to prove...and I hope he does.

I am expecting absolutely nothing out of Breida this year. He will be the guy every freaks out over bring a weekly inactive every week if Moss/Singletary/Jones are healthy. He's fast...sure. But that speed didn't help him make much impact in a Dolphin backfield last year that was basically bare. Breida played well in the Shannahan offense which is built to make RBs shine. But I just don't see him having many opportunities if the young guys are healthy. He's in the Yeldon role.

While it can't be the sole reason to cut a player it will and should be a factor should a few players be close in deserving a spot. Guys on the bottom of the roster would be wise to get it.

He's an Eagle now. Odd move being they drafted a guy and still have Sanders and Howard. Boston Scott as well.

Going with Oliver here. In addition to sacks from his own pressure I feel like he will benefit from pressure coming off the edges and get a few when the QB steps up to avoid pressure...much the way Jordan Phillips did his final year here.

It's the smart play. This gives the Bills a season to see if it was injuries that held him back. If he has a solid season this year it gives them an extra "prove it" year before locking in for huge dollars. And even then he will still be...what...25? Win/win for Buffalo here.

I think they know exactly where they stand at CB and will treat it like any other position. If someone becomes available that they feel is and improvement they will target them. If not they will roll with what they have. Wouldn't shock me to see Josh Norman brought back if they feel they need another vet.

Without a doubt, yes. Look I know he's been far from perfect. I'd actually rather see him back for that 5th year on the option rather then extend at the moment. Give the kid this season to show he can overcome a season where he was clearly playing hurt. Give him that 5th year to show it wasn't a fluke and then extend if worthy. If not, move on.

Yes, I can see them doing what they have done with Dawkins in the past and sneaking him out for a pass here and there. He's athletic enough. No reason to not take advantage of that...

Tall, yes. But also lean for their frame and when Hunt came out the knock was actually his lack of experience playing football as Hunt hadn't started playing until the college level. Both had impressive measurements and the potential for a rather high ceiling. The development of Rousseau will be fun to watch. I believe in McD and company to get him where he needs to be.

I believe all 3 teams have gotten better. Pats and Fins I believe upgraded personnel and Jets I believe upgraded their coaching staff. I do believe we are still better overall, however I do not expect to sweep the division again this season.

The name I think about is Margus Hunt, not Aaron Maybin. Hopefully this coaching staff gets more out of Rousseau than the Bengals got out of the tall, strong and extremely raw Hunt. I think they will...but Hunt is my "worst case" comparison.

Raiders drafting philosophy: By drafting 2nd rounders in the 1st round it causes more 1st rounders to slip into the 2nd round. Maybe teams will assume those players have been drafted and we can scoop them up then.
