  1. I have been vocal about conducting a wide search...however if QB1 is going to bat for him then that's good enough for me🤷🏻‍♂️
  2. No offense intended...but in my eyes that is always the weakest of arguments. Yea, if you take away big plays it doesn't look as impressive...almost like if there was a big dude clogging up the middle those big runs may not have happened. Also, you can't just "eliminate" a big run. You or I have no idea how the rest of the drive pans out. What if instead of a 60 yard run the RB ripped off 10 six yard runs. Same yardage. Lower YPC...but it all adds up. Is that still not getting run on? Better? Worse? It's all a viewpoint based debate in my opinion. I will agree with YAC being an issue. That does have something to do with personell...true. It's one of the reasons I'd love to see the Bills target Godwin who finished 6th in YAC even missing games at the end. However it also has a lot to do with how teams defended our pass. This year those crossers to Diggs and Beasley that we saw last season were largely taken away. We were turned more into a "take what we can" passing team. Teams would allow short underneath passes and collapse in. Gotta scheme up something there. Also, if teams know they can easily run on the Bills...what better way to keep Josh Allen off the field? Eat up clock, shorten the game, limit possessions and it helps when your opponent has Superman as their QB.
  3. You do realize there is this whole thing called Free Agency as well, right? Also trades happen. If the "story of the season" was the Jags game...if you really wants to single it down to 1 game...could just as easily be a game where the Bills got thrashed in the run at home against a team that ultimately missed the playoffs as well(Colts). Or the game against the Patriots where they win by running...agaim at home....or Titans where the opponent ran all over Buffalo for the W. Hmm...sense a theme in all those losses.
  4. About the same as the way they have managed to "replace" Levi Wallace over the years. For both players they have brought in lower level competition. I believe McK was brought back a couple days before Breida signed and a few weeks before Stevenson was drafted. Looked like they were stocking the roster with guys to compete to take over for Andre Roberts. I expect this offseason for the Bills to make a real effort to replace him. Signing a RB on the down spiral and a lower draft picks just isn't it.
  5. IIRC he had a post on IG much like this one after last season. And it seemed like the Bills took their time before bringing him back. I believe McK is viewed way better by fans than he is by coaches. He's a good player and a likeable guy...but he is replacable. Who knows what may happen in FA. Maybe someone offers him a nice contract and he jets. Maybe his market is ice cold (again) and he comes back. Either way, best of luck to him.
  6. In order to get to Mahomes, first you have to beat other teams. Focus all your energy into beating one team and 30 others can pass you by.
  7. I sent a fruit basket.
  8. Would love to see the Bengals and 49ers go. TV execs would have a STROKE.
  9. .....to trade up a bit if Jordan Davis is there at 20ish. Also, the Chiefs quietly ran for over 180 yards last night. CEH gashed that line in almost every touch ripping off hige chunks. Run defense is still something to improve.
  10. The best person for improvements...be they currently in the staff or not. I would like a wide net cast.
  11. True. Tebow was great in college, too. Doesn't mean anything.
  12. Von Miller was a 2nd and 3rd pick IIRC. Plus wouldn't shock me if the Broncos wanted to deal him out of the AFC. Melvin Ingram, on the other hand cost the Chiefs a 6th. There was where the value was. More than that..we need Quentin Nelson, Ryan Kelly and Braden Smith. JT is great. But without them he's Devin Singletary.
  13. Big if true. Could you provide a link to where you saw a breakdown of his time management this week? Not doubting you...just would love to read it, myself.
  14. Well, McD is normally pretty vague. However this Tweet specifies this is about the kick itself and nothing about defense. If in fact it was just Bass putting too much on the ball this would be McD's answer to a T. Wouldn't throw his young kicker under the bus like some coaches. He's willing to take the heat.
  15. It's the "I'm just going to leave it at execution" that raises the possibility for me. I want to go back and watch the kick and any sideline reaction in game....juat can't stomach turning that game back on it the moment.
  16. We know the result of the play...not the play call. It's entirely possible (though today it's more convient to yell about coaching) that the play was called to kick high to the 5 and force a return and our young kicker was too hyped up and put too much leg into it.
  17. Harry, Bates and McK I would resign. Zimmer...don't know how his medicals look so won't comment on. I think Wallace gets an offer that exceeds where the Bills would value him. I'm in the vast minority that would be willing to bring Addison back on a fair deal.
  18. Anything left to be paid out on guaranteed money does hit as dead cap....wven in a trade. According to SPOTRAC his is $24M. That's a lot of coin to pay a guy of his caliber to play for someone else.
  19. Well, he's pushing 30. Made a ton of money. Has a concussion history and just had a new baby. As a Bills fan I hate to think he may retire "early". He would be missed. However if he wants to enjoy life with his family and walk away before more brain injuries...I get that too.
  20. Great thought. Still a darn good player. But the Bears moving him would be a $24M dead cap space for them, I believe. I don't see them moving on.
  21. Bates played well. However, I hope the way the line played down the stretch doesn't convince Beane to "run it back" with the same guys again next year. There still is room to improve.
  22. If we had a dome he would have called heads. Build the dome.
  23. My hot take: I'm not sold on the idea that the kickoff into the end zone was the called play. I believe the called was to kick high and to the 5 and our young kicker was just too amped up and hit too much leg into it.
  24. I wouldn't even say Mahomes is better. I'd put them on even ground. Clock doesn't run during a 2 point attempt. Buy you're right on the squib.
  25. No shame in that loss. None whatsoever. A missed opportunity...we'll get em next year.
