  1. So, you spent a lifetime analyzing data and numbers and also claim statistics are for losers? Looks like we can FINALLY agree! 🤙🤙🤙
  2. Wow. Ok. Look, I normally wouldn't do this but I'll go ahead and fast track you since you seem to really need the attention today. You're welcome. Listen, Jimmy. I know numbers can be a scary thing. We have all been there. There are SO MANY numbers out there (such as 7, 4 and even 16) it seems like a rough process to learn them all! But we believe in YOU!!! There are many programs out there too learn these "numbers" from! May I reccommend Brainpop Jr? I used it when my kids were doing remote learning and it is really fantastic! Just remember to ask your parents permission before downloading. We wouldn't want you to lose screen time!! As far as how these numbers play into the actual product you see on the field. For example...have you ever wondered why coaches go for it on 4th down? Have you wondered why sometimes they choose to punt? These decisions are based on something called analytics. Analytics are basically a collection of statistics (or stats, for short) that help your favorite team make the best call. Do you have a favorite team? I bet you do! Statistics or...Stats are one very important part of what you see. The data supplied from these "stats" helps coaches knew what to do in certain situations. Or what players may do well in certain down and distances. The often help determine things like MVP awards, contract extensions (MORE NUMBERS AHHHHH!!!) and sometimes they even have a direct outcome on the plays called during a game. Do you have a favorite play? I bet you do, Jimmy! Now that you know a little bit about these numbers or STATS...hopefull they are a bit less scary. Keep swinging slugger!
  3. I'm sorry. I'm already debating one person with a clueless view. I limit my interaction with clueless takes to one a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow's not looking great either. I can pencil you in for Tuesday if that works?
  4. No. It's not even close. Your big conclusion is adding Allen's 4th year widens the gap. No ****? Another year helps when adding stats up? Who knew? The entire discussion was the 1st 3 years of their career. You keep attempting to change that. Either you can't even comprehend what the discussion is or you cannot emotionally handle that there are other QBs that have played on the same level as Josh Allen STATISTICALLY through their 1st 3 years. So, in retrospect I asked if you were able to supply a statistic based counter argument or were just yammering. Yammering it is.
  5. I think ultimately if the do resign him giving him the "Kirk Cousins Treatment" may be their best option. Lower salary and years, however a higher % of guaranteed money. Gives both sides some security and protection and gives Baker another chance to score a huge payday down the road if he proves better.
  6. This is shocking and new information that I am just hearing about for the 1st time. Not at all something from last week. Unrelated, but does Alvin Kamara seem a bit on edge to anyone else lately?
  7. You made 2 statements. Both incredibly incorrect. I have provided the stats that were in question upthread. Can you provide an intellectual counter argument backed by the statistics (which was the diacussion) or are you just yammering?
  8. Very....odd wording by Roger. This whole Broncos sale is a sham from the get go IMO. Goodell goes onto imply that the only outcome is a minority owner...they have even seemed to handpick Byron Allen. This is borderline illegal IMO
  9. Well, it appears the Commanders Jonathan Allen is up for a game in Germany🤦‍♂️
  10. Super. Feel better now? Terrific. Murray had a bad first playoff game. Happens a LOT with great QBs. There is zero debate here to be had, though. Murray started with a higher floor than Allen and has performed at MINIMUM at the same level statistically speaking. That's not saying he's better, worse or the same as Allen. Just that they have been productive at the same statistic level. Allen has absolutely hit higher highs...however (AGAIN STATISTICALLY SPEAKING) he has also hit MUCH lower lows. Again, there is nothing at all even debatable there.
  11. Send em the Jags vs Titans
  12. Ford was one of the guys. I had no issue with them playing Ford as the did invest in him...had to try and get it to work out. It didn't. But that's not the issue. The other guy they brought in and played over Spain was Brian Winters who was awful. He was awful the years before with the Jets, too.
  13. So, we now have Smiley in addition to Clappy. Getting our 7 Dwarves line up SET for next year.
  14. Lateral movement. We lost in KC to end the season last year. We lost to the same team in the same place this year. I think losing a week earlier, yet deserving the win as opposed to getting embarrassed the years before is an offset. Some positives and some negatives. Next season I figure we will have a few upgrades in players. We are also going to see a lot of new faces on the coaching staff. How those new coaches fair will,, in my opinion either take us to that next level or flatline us if they are in over their head. #GoBills
  15. I agree...but at some point if I'm Bass and don't know what was called...may be good to ask. Ask the coach before running out there. Ask a teammate before lining up and kicking it. Heck, he likely could have asked fans in the stands and gotten an answer. As much as we pin it in coaching...Bass has to shoulder some blame.
  16. 1984's version of us losing to Jacksonville last year.
  17. Wish we could have grabbed Rich Bisaccia. He already signed with the Packers.
  18. Here's the thing in that. All those young guys that we had 4-5 years ago...are the vets now. At some point soon the need to sign guys for leadership ends and the players you have are the vets. Dawson Knox wasn't given a babysitter last year. You could, I suppose make any argument that Breida was a vet...but the RB room is younger. Allen may not have been oldest but was the "vet leader" in the QB room. Guys like Harry and Ed learned from these vets and now it's time for them to step into leadership roles and full the pipeline with younger players.
  19. You forgot that he even stabbed his buddy Nate Hackett in the back and fired him (after Hackett reportedly helped get him hired there as a member of Hackett's staff) and used him as a scapegoat to buy 1 more year. Not shocked at ALL Nate didn't bring him to Denver.
  20. Marrone continues to find employment. Wonder if he plans to undercut Dennis Allen and take the HC job like he did in Jacksonville?
  21. Agree. There are a LOT of QB needy teams right now and more that could enter that arena very soon. Heck, the entire NFC South alone is in need. Washington, Pittsburgh, Denver, (Giants and Eagles are, but don't seem to want to admit it). Indy, possibly the Lions...that's 11 places off the top of my head. Bidding war would start at a 1 IMO.
  22. Saying anything positive about any QB not named Josh Allen on these boards is a very dangerous game. Be it right or wrong😂
  23. Let me play Devil's Advocate here for a second. This year Murray had: 4300 yards and 29 TDs while missing 3 games. Last year: 4790 yards and 37 TDs Rookie year: 4266 yards and 24 TDs Allen's first 3 years he had: 2020- 4965 yards and 45 TDs 2019- 3599 yards and 29 TDs 2018- 2704 yards and 18 TDs (12 games) On these boards when trying to prove a point about Allen we include his rushing totals into an "all purpose" context quite frequently. Same can be done Murray. His 1 playoff game was a disaster. However, to back and watch Josh in the 2nd half of his 1st playoff game against the Texans. Not saying Murray is going to follow the same path and has the same room to grow as Allen, however statistically speaking they are in the same ballpark through similar points of their career.
