From a talent standpoint I'd be 100% in on Kamara. But the last thing we need is Alvin whooping some dude in Dave & Busters because they grabbed the last set of Minecraft trading cards in the ticket cash in line. 🤣 In all seriousness though, I don't see Beane giving up assets for a guy with the sort of pending legal issues that Kamara is currently facing.

Congratulations on the 30 years of elite QB play between Favre and Rodgers. I do believe it's long overdue to be Green Bay's "turn in the barrel"

Tampa is down 3 starters in the secondary. This screams like the kind of game where Lamar beats up on a bunch of backups and the media fawns over his "passing skills" again. Baltimore 30- Tampa 16

Week 8: SNF Packers at Bills (-10.5) 10/30 8:20pm

Yup. Out wide Watkins would be operating as the #1 guy most likely. I expect a ton of passes to the backs and if Tonyan the TE is available in your PPR fantasy league pick him up. He'll likely see 8-10 short targets. -
Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs for picks
BuffaloBillyG replied to wolfpack78's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe you're just easier to impress than I am? In any event he's played 2 maybe 3 "good" games as a Chief. The rest of the time he's been fairly absent. I think it's fair to say that there is some promise of upside...but to say it was successful may be a premature statement so far. Let's see how the rest of his season goes. -
I'm VERY tempted to go with James Cook here. Feels like the week off was a nice chance for Dorsey to scheme up a few things for him. However I will go in another direction and go with Rodger Saffold. It's been mentioned a few times that he's spent the first part of the year playing through some injuries. I don't think we have seen him remotely near his best yet. I'm thinking the bye week gave him a nice chance to rest up and he's ready to go. On defense...to me this just feels like the type of game that Jordan Phillips is amped for. National TV, in Buffalo against A-a-ron? Yeah...big man is gonna EAT Sunday night.

Health, for sure. However attitude and motivation factor in as well. Youth is wasted on the young, my friend haha -
Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs for picks

Honestly, I shouldn't compare Toney to any of those dudes because he hasn't accomplished 1% of what any of them did in the NFL. While those guys were on their last legs...Toney hasn't even found his yet. This speaks where he may be on his own career path as well! -
Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs for picks

Toney isn't a guy to torch you, though. YAC? Sure. But Toney himself is a role player guy as well. And one with persistent soft tissue injuries at that. When you look into the future at a possible Chiefs/Bills rematch does Toney tip the scale as much as, say Tre White being back again? I think we both know that answer...lol -
Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs for picks

I'm curious to know who you mean, exactly? If you're talking Juju or MVS it's really early to chalk them up as a success yet. Lev Bell? Shady? Kelvin Benjamin? Josh Gordon? This is a desperation move that the Chiefs seem to swing and miss on every year. Nothing to see here. The Giants are starting David Sills at WR. There is no way they would let Toney go for a late 3rd at BEST in a season that they are pushing for a possible playoff spot in the weak NFC if Toney was that much of a gamechanger on a consistent basis. -

Agree. Timing of the move is odd considering Juju is coming off back to back good games and MVS went for over 100 last week I believe. I think it speaks a bit to Skyy Moore being a bit of a disappointment for them so far this year. Toney has talent, for sure. However a poor attitude, poor work ethic or injuries have stalled many careers of players far more talented. And he has been reported to have ALL 3 of those red flags. -

I fully believed this until I saw that Moss wasn't included. -
I find the lack of Ryan Fitzpatrick costumes disturbing.

He is and he's one of the rare players on divisional teams that I enjoy watching. And while Chase and Burrow are great together they are completely different than Diggs and Allen. If Burrow doesn't have time then Chase can't get free deep which is their bread and butter. Burrow isn't exactly great at extending the play like Allen is. There will be plays where Diggs absolutely shakes Sauce out of his shoes. I would expect the young CB to make some plays as well but I think over the course of the game Diggs will provide some great learning lessons for Sauce.

I'll hope the Pats win to give the Bills a bit of breathing room. Things I'm hoping for in this game: 1. Mac Jones looks good. Let him show just enough to keep the job and thereby keeping the Pats in QB purgatory. 2. Sauce continues to shine. Let him keep showing out...because in a couple weeks Allen and Diggs will give him his official "welcome to the NFL". 3. As a James Robinson fantasy owner I'm hoping for at least a TD from him. 4. Zach Wilson and Mac Jones get into a slap fight after the game. 5. More odd facial expressions from Belichick's kid.

Going off OvertheCap.com (which is not gospel but does provide a sensible baseline IMO) the figured cap relief from potential restructures next year are as follows: White: $5,880,000 Allen: $21,536,000 Diggs: $5,596,000 Morse: $3,287,500 Dawkins: $6,393,750 HYDE: $4,301,250 Miller: $10,864,000 Milano: $6,315,000 Grand Total: $64,173,500 Granted they will not do all of those restructures. But they have plenty of wiggle room to play with. Notice also that a restructure (or an extension for that matter) with Hyde would actually save a bit more than a trade or cut. Add into that the fact that the salary cap will jump again next year...what's the problem? You also mention Poyer by name as an "at who's expense" example. Well he will be 32 next year, has a growing list of injuries (including a collapsed lung this year) and would cost zero dead money to part ways with next season as he's not under contract. That seems like the obvious move if someone has to be left out. Why give him a contract if, like you said Hamlin costs less than $1 million. And yes Hamiln can play both spots back there.
-
Seeing it put this way begs the question. If cutting Hyde still would cost 7 million in dead money and keeping Hyde results in only $3.8 Million dollars more...do you not think Hyde is worth that extra 3.8 million? For his leadership, experience, knowledge of the defense, how he is viewed by his teammates and how he is in the community all while (assuming he heals properly) playing at an extremely high level? Cutting or trading a team leader, a guy has earned the "C" on his chest, a guy that was still playing extremely well when he got hurt...doing that over 3.8 million of cap space is an absolutely ridiculous idea.
-
Wait, I thought the plan was to trade Hyde and move White to safety? To answer the OP (and many of the 'Can we trade so and so for a draft pick' type threads): One reason the Bills are so successful is that the do not treat players like disposable items. They take care of their own. Trading Hyde coming off an injury sends a horrible message to the guys on the roster. Yes, it is a business and yes, everyone is eventually replaceable. However, Hyde has been a large reason for the turnaround in Buffalo both on the field and in the locker room. These guys have more value than what you see on Sunday. Even out injured Hyde has remained a visible leader on this defense. Throwing out that the system makes him (and Poyer for that matter) look better than they are is such a weak stance. We could also by that reasoning say that "the system" makes Gabe Davis look better...or Diggs look better. We should just go cheaper there too, right? "The system" makes Matt Milano look better than he is too. Maybe we should trade him. If the systems are so great why ever resign anyone again? Truth is no matter how great a system is, the players make the system. Have to have the right people to plug in and operate it.

Bills @ Lions - Thanksgiving game - Tailgate/Pregame?

I will be "tailgating" at home with turkey, pumpkin pie and apple cider moonshine. May get wild and toss the turkey through a table before cooking it, though.
