  1. In the last few offseasons we have lost guys like Shaq Lawson, Jordan Phillips, John Brown and Matt Barkley. While it may be true that these guys don't offer much on the field they were guys that you could physically see were well liked, kept the vibe light and kept the mood upbeat in the locker room. Last core locker room leaders like Kyle Williams and Zo. None of that has been replaced. This season's team just doesn't seem to have gelled like in years past.
  2. Bobby Murcer was always underrated. I was a big fan of Greg Nettles, Dave Righetti and still wish we could have seen Mattingly's career run it's course without the back issues. Bye-Bye Balboni, heck even liked me some Kevin Maas. The players may change over time but the memories last forever.
  3. You gonna do a "Welcome back, Bobby" thread when they resign Hart to the PS tomorrow or Thursday?
  4. Has has steadily said this for 2 years. That's not up for debate. Go watch his pressers starting from last offseason. Billy Houseman...you a troll. And not a good one. I suggest you study up some of FilthyBeast's posts. Become the best version of your trollful little self!
  5. Yes, fresh meat to run into the arses of our guards who got blown 3 yards into the backfield.
  6. He has literally said the opposite. Many times. You obviously have an issue with listening comprehension.
  7. Except he's never said he wants to be ground and pound. Still acknowledged that you have to throw the ball amd score points. He wants a team that CAN run the ball...not one that's ALWAYS runs the ball. And that's really not different than 31 other head coaches in the NFL. Was reported that Sully asked Hyde and Power that. Haven't seen it attributed to Schoop....but wouldn't he have been doing his post game show during that presser?
  8. Really hate to be the one to tell you this...but the Bills are a whiney bunch of players. From Beasley crying about COVID protocols and "being boo'd at home" to Josh Allen and his flops/always looking to the refs for a flag to Hyde and Poyer's reaction to an albeit stupid question from a troll reporter....they have become a bunch of soft players that ooze entitlement without actually winning anything yet.
  9. Yup we had the ONLY QB last night...still lost. Truth is nothing is stopping BB from hiding Mac again when we play and ramming the ball down our throats. We sure as hell aren't stopping them. Yeah, we have the better QB...they got us with better coaching and a better constructed TEAM.
  10. If the floors are dirty the janitor needs to answer questions as well. Unless you really believe every time Daboll calls a play McD is on the headset saying "I concur" or "Nope, try again". Sometimes ya wanna hear it from the horse's mouth. Not always practical to to full "Karen" and demand to speak with the manager.
  11. Yup, mathing is hard after a late game. Point remains that winning out would still need to happen...and I can't confidently think we don't drop another game on the way.
  12. I get your mentality and respect your opinion, however must disagree. Losing this game means we have to win out to hit 10-7 then HOPE that's good enough for the playoffs while having already lost to the Colts and Steelers that are also in the mix. And while we SHOULD beat the Panthers, Falcons and Jets...can't take any of those as "sure wins" this year. Also as last night proved, NE is completely capable of bettering us by hiding Jones and having a better game plan. This team is now fighting for it's post season life. Every week becomes a must win.
  13. Let's play a game called "What if?" Roles are reversed and Buffalo is on defense. That exact play happens only it's on Micah Hyde. Refs throw the flag...would you still call that DPI? Would it then be a "Ticky tack call" and the refs should let the players play? And not picking on you or anything sinister. Just seems like the severity of if a call is made or not align more with rooting interests then the actual rule for the most part on these boards. And again..if NE gets that call...how fast are you saying "That's a BS call" because of rooting interest?
  14. I despise when people use a single frame from TV to attempt to make a point. Gee, from that snapshot one could also say the CB was turning to play the ball and Knox held him up.
  15. Actually I look at it sloghtly different. I think McD made it known he want some form of a rushing threat and Daboll not getting the job done. If Daboll thinks the only way to give a "physical run" is up the middle than that really shows his lack of intelligence on the running game. Just like what McD says about the red zone. Have to figure it out. And to get this far into a season and not have it figured would really get me angry if I was HC. All in all looking at the quotes about scoring more I see a real similar pattern to when McD talked about Rick Dennison when he was the OC here. Barring a late season offensive surge...I think Daboll is a dead man walking.
  16. They will clear more. They can restructure some contracts and flat out release some others that are aging and high priced (AJ Klein, Beasley and Feliciano being released would clear about $19M IIRC)
  17. And those playoff games mean absolutely nothing to the 2021 Buffalo Bills team. To paraphrase McD himself: Each season is a new story, new team. What you did last year is irrelevant. This team isn't just having a few bad games. They are being dominated and manhandled at the point of attack. They are constructed poorly and have a lack of execution. They commit penalties left and right. They are a below .500 football team since winning in KC. The offense has been out of sync even when we were winning. They can't score consistently in the red zone and routinely blow excellent field position after a big return or turnover. This has been happening since LITERALLY the 1st drive of the season against the Steelers. The defense feasted on backup QBs and poor teams. This isn't trolling or being negative. These are just the facts that the season has shown us. "Making the playoffs" isn't the goal anymore. The motto has changed at OBD from "Playoff Caliber" to "Championship Caliber"....and they are falling way short of their own expectations.
  18. He did not go too far. He gave an honest answer. Frankly, maybe it's time more players and staff are held publicly accountable for their actions. McD included. We have seen for 4 years McD have the "Well we think he's a good football player" routine. Hasn't worked so try something else. Earlier this year McD made a comment about Oliver's level of player not being where he or they hoped it would be. Ed has been on fire since then almost ever week. Different styles of leading are sometimes helpful. Keep coddling the players with milk and cookie answers and your end up with a team of soft crybabies.
  19. I had this game as a loss before the season started. Thought it may be a high scoring clash of 2 really good teams. That was then, this is now. Tampa is going to feast. This game is going to be ugly and I'm figuring it well be over by midway through the 3rd quarter.
  20. Agree. Continuity is wonderful, but sometimes fresh eyes and thoughts help as well. Daboll has had many ups and downs in his time here. He's had a hand in Josh Allen's growth as well. Sadly, I think this offense has gone as far as it can under him. The Red Zone issues we have had and the way we have continuously wastes great starting field position literally from the opening kickoff of the season to now should be enough to move on. Yes, players must execute however coaching must but players in the best situation for success. I don't believe Daboll does that. Our defense plays well, however getting manhandled by physical running teams has been and issue not just this season but under Frazier's watch pretty consistently. I don't see a new DC helping much as this is McD's defense just as much as his. It's time to move on from high dollar aging players as well. Revamp that offensive line. And I'm not having the "well our record is..." This team is 3-4 since beating KC. Those 3 wins were against a Miami team that was struggling, the Jets and the Saints C squad. Over the same time we got pounded physically by the Colts and Pats, lost to a Titans team that out physicaled us and lost to the Jags. This team doesn't look like the same guys that played for each other and had tons of fun last yearbor the year before. Starting back in the off season we have seen 1. Beasley and Hughes publicly squabble over the vax 2. Beasley go off about being boo'd at home (the week of the KC game...ironicly the last time we played well) 3. Josh appearing to go off on the offensive line on sideline 4. Players missing time to COVID list 5. Hyde and Poyer snapping on Sully 6. McD making his comments about McK and MS last night. Somethings need to change. While we were building a team that could beat KC, everyone else was building a team to beat is and KC and it worked. Going to be a busy offseason at OBD.
  21. We may not even get the ball back. Watch for a PA pass deep on this possession.
  22. Gotta have a TD here. They get the ball back and they will bleed the clock out.
  23. Buffalo kicking the XP as opposed to the 2 point is a moot point now. We aren't kicking a potential tying FG on the other end. However if we can manage a TD here they cannot win with a FG at the good end
