  1. I agree with what you're saying however I see at least SOME of the point of the unvaxxed athlete as well. Let me get out of the way that if their refusal is political based or centers around the misinformation then I really have zero symphthy for them. However the big 2 points I can see is this. 1. As we see...getting the vax does not automatically translate to staying on the field. 2. If I was an athlete I would have MANY questions about what long term side effect there may be. Especially when the vax first came out. It seems like every 3 months the "facts and science" change for various reasons. If I made my living due in large part to my physical condition that alone is something to take pause and read up on. If Mike the accountant gets his vax and there is some sort of long term issue...he can still be an accountant. What happens if an athlete had a bad side effect that ended their career? Potential for losing millions. Again, this would be the train of thought when it first came out and around a year into it. Now we are at a point where I believe the ones that were skeptics about it for legit reasons have educated themselves and gotten the jab. The holdouts now are by and large people that are too swept up in politics to even care about becoming educated....but hey, they have a snazzy podium collection.
  2. Yea, it's really a raw deal for teams that played (and lost or tied) with key players due to COVID. If I was a Steeler fan I'd be irate. If the game is postponed due to the fear of spreading...it's a valid reason (not that I 100% agree)...however in the interest of fair play anyone ineligible for it should be forced to miss the game IMO
  3. Mitch Morse. No I'm not kidding. Being possibly without Dawkins we need SOMEONE to step up and be a leader on that line. Enter the man in the middle. Be it Hart, Ford, Ike, Bates.....Buffalo will have have a new (or familiar, yet ug-lee) face that already has a youngster in Brown on it and a QB that is a tad hobbled. Time for him to step up with some vet leadership and pave the way. Keep Josh upright. Open holes in the run game when needed. Step the eff up....or GTFO time.
  4. They have other QBs on their roster? Who knew? Great. A Virus...one more thing this oline can't block.
  5. That sounds about right, Donuts. Then we would have to beat the Pats and hope like Hades Miami can nip them in the final week. Lots of roads still lead to the division title. I can think of a LOT of things I'd miss 5 minutes of that game for. 😂😂
  6. I...I feel like you are trying to make a point but not sure what it is. 😂😂
  7. I would think one of Bates or Feliciano would be held back to be the all-important break glass in case of emergency back-up center. Can't risk them running into each other and both getting hurt with Morse's concussion history.😂😂😂 In all seriousness I almost expect Bobby Hart at LT. Hart-Mongo-Morse-Williams-Brown
  8. It's ok all. Matt Barkley just got placed on COVID list for the Panthers. That sould even things out a bit.
  9. The blocking technique changes on counters and draws. The look is different. Defenders have to react to what they seem. It slows them down. This really isn't rocket science, my dude. I will agree on the issues being roster construction and will add that this regime values position versatility over the mastery of one position...leave the old adage that a jack of all trades is a master of none.
  10. Which is why I said not calling the slow plays would help. And who is talking about Moss? Guy shouldn't be active again. You said there is no way to help...I literally pointed out about 6 things they could do to help...because I realize how bad the blocking is.
  11. You actually can. First off, a true FB on the roster would be a good thing. A game such as the Pats game we didn't even have one active due to injury. That would help. Running draws, traps and counters helps slow down an interior rush as well. Not calling the slow developing RPOs and run options would help. If your guys are getting overpowered inside...slide the blocking assignment so you don't have your guys trying to square up and block...instead your blocker comes from the shoulder and slides the defender out of the play. These are all fairly common tactics to help an overpowered IOL...many of which we simply do not attempt.
  12. The biggest downgrade IMO is that they lost Hooper and Landry as well. Hey have limited pass catchers. David Njoku suddenly becomes a STRONG fantasy play on potential volume alone.
  13. Said it above.... Colts win this weekend--->Bills and Dolphins win out--> NE misses playoffs entirely. Wouldn't that be awesome?😂
  14. Yes, hence why I said we would control our own destiny to the AFCE title.
  15. I can somewhat agree with the thinking to a point. When you face a quick strike offense you get it in your your head all week that you need TDs. FGs won't win again at Mahomes. That was our thought for 20 years facing Brady. However it some point you just need to pile up points when you get the chance. 2 FGs are almost as good as 1 TD. Can't overthink things.
  16. This is a fact. And believe it or not...Miami could potentially knock NE out of the playoffs. Miami (6-7) has: Jets Saints Titans Patriots NE (9-4) has: Colts Buffalo Jacksonville Miami Miami should beat the Jets and Saints. And if they beat the Titans would be sitting at 9-7 for the Pats rematch. NE should beat Jacksonville. If they drop games to the Colts and Bills (both possible) they sit at 10-6. Miami and NE would basically be a play-in game with the winner advancing (Miami hits the 7 seed). NE it 10-7 would have lost the tiebreaker to Miami, the Colts, and the Bills (providing we win out). Hopefully Frank Reich can come through this weekend for the Bills 1 more time.
  17. As long as the Bills win out they are in. After that, it's just a matter of the tiebreaker playing into seeding between the Colts and Bills if both are in the Wild Card.
  18. Competitive people love to compete. While I can't comment on his financial status, we do know this fella has the heart of a warrior.
  19. In fairness, I didn't say he hasn't adjusted...I said he hasn't adjusted well. Be that due to talent, design or playcalling he hasn't found the answers as of yet. I'm with you on the red zone issues. I also don't think it's a coincidence that we are having issues down there in a year that is seeing Josh seemingly scrambling less when we get close. I don't think McD's idea is to turn the team into a power run team. Rather a team that can run with power if need be. I really believe thatbto field the team he wants we need multiple backs...much like NE has always operated. Give me and every down guy (and I believe Motor can be that guy especially behind an improved line). A pass catcher with some shifty abilities. And finally a grinder that can pound a team late in games or in every bad conditions. I think Moss was supposed to be that guy. But obviously this team needs to be and I believe will stay pass heavy.
  20. It seems like the numbers are flying up right now. While we have had a few here and there...it's been a relative non issue compared to some teams. If it's going to sweep through the locker room in big numbers I would almost GUARENTEE it will be a day or 2 before the Pats game.
  21. In the event Daboll leaves I feel like Dorsey would be looked at for sure. I also think people are sleeping on Chad Hall, our WRs coach as a possible option. I would like to hope if there is an opening at OC that it would go to the best possible person to full the position and not Dorsey (or Hall) just because it's convient. Continuity is a great thing....however sometimes getting new eyes on the issues and voices in the room can help a team learn and grow as well.
