  1. The last Bobby Babich press conference I saw he talked directly about that. If I'm not mistaken he even mentioned needing guys with speed and play aggressive with plus athletic make up to combat the way modern NFL offenses operate, so I believe you are spot on here. Also found it interesting in the same interview he mentioned that the Bills do actually have a height/weight baseline that they look for and that Williams and Bernard exceeded that.
  2. This maybe something to tuck away in the back of your mind...and it may be nothing at all. Perhaps the new QB is just someone to look at for a PS spot. However it may also indicate that the Texans are open to moving Keenum or Davis Mills. My guess would be Mills as this would keep a seasoned vet in the QB room and not have a guy like Mills breathing down the rookies neck. Depending on if he's available and what the price is, Mills could win a game or two if needed behind this roster IMO.
  3. This is extremely accurate. Allen is not only very intelligent, but his drive and desire to get better, understand his flaws and improve them and competitive nature are almost unmatched. Combined with the physical tools he has is what makes Allen next level. Does Richardson (or Lance or Fields for that matter) possess that mindset? Do they have that drive to be better? Not sure, but I've been watching football long enough to know the physical tools combined with mental capacity and determination Allen shows is extremely rare.
  4. As usual, very nice breakdown. A couple thing I would love to add from my perspective. Isabella was as unimpressive on returns as he was impressive as a WR. While he speed showed on returns he showed, I thought a lack of instinct on where to go to break a gain. I likened it yesterday to running very fast into brick walls. However, with the ball in his hands as a slot guy he did well breaking into the open. Perhaps just an off day in the return game. Or perhaps he just doesn't read his blocks well on returns....something Evans did well on his lone KR. Matt Barkley is a national treasure. I will concede that yes, despite his numbers and the way he looked yesterday he is limited as a QB. But does anyone love the life they lead more than this guy? Over the years this guy has become one of my favorite Bills of all time just for his attitude, perseverance and willingness to support the team any way he's asked. Seeing both Micah Hyde and Damar Hamlin playing fast and not shying away from contact coming off their respective injuries from last year was very encouraging. I know it's preseason game 1 and there really isn't a gameplan per say, however credit to Dorsey for calling a good game. Thought he mixed the run with the pass extremely well. And credit to Josh Allen for reportedly calling the offense on one of the Barkley TDs. Really liked what I saw off Jordan Mims. He's not fast, but he looked slippery and decisive.
  5. Hence what I said "if pressed into snaps" Let's face it. Both Poyer and Hyde are on the wrong side of 30 and each coming off injury plagued seasons. Rapp will have a role outside of just the Safety position. There is a very solid chance Hamlin or whoever is the 4th safety is will see a chunk of playtime this year.
  6. Honestly, even with how bad he looked today and how bad we have heard he has looked in TC, the sad thing is Kyle Allen likely would not make it to the PS. Someone will take a chance on him. This isn't due to his skill, rather the lack of viable backup QB options around the NFL. He a guy that has started games and has some experience. Someone will think they can get more out of him.
  7. Pretty sure the kid would make a better QB2 than Kyle. Git er done Beane!
  8. The obvious answer is James Cook. He's going to finish as atop 10 back this year if he stays healthy. For a less than obvious answer: If Dorian Williams finds snaps he is going to flash big time this year. The hype about his instincts....isn't hype. Another less obvious answer: Damar. While some pundits ponder what happens if we release him...guy had 88 tackles and 1.5 sacks last year while still being very inexperienced. The was he played today: fast and without hesitation. Another guy that if pressed into snaps is going to continue to get better. Really wouldn't surprise me much if he's a starting S on this team beginning next year.
  9. Great stick by Howard!
  10. Another great throw for Barkley.
  11. Ball placement. Barkley puts it out far enough that his guy can get there but a DB cannot.
  12. Steve may well be the Yogi Berra of the football world
  13. Bad fumble there...but awesome throw by Barkley threading the needle.
  14. Hasn't been with the Colts long. I believe they signed him after Moss broke his arm.
  15. I think they will. After the way their season went last year I expect them to carry as many QBs as possible
  16. Ran a really nice route there too
  17. Shavers 📉 Ateman📈
  18. As a KR, I see that Isabella is very good so far at running really really fast into a brick wall
  19. Kyle Allen is making me miss Nate Peterman. At least he could play in the preseason.
  20. Ok. I already like Mims way too much.
  21. It's officially MATT BARKLEY TIME! Time to see if our once great punter can translate his game to QB.
  22. FRIGGIN EDMUNDS WAS NO WHERE TO BE SEEN ON THAT TD!! WHAT A BUM!!!
  23. Really like what I've seen from Dorian Williams today.
  24. 1. Chiefs 2. Bills 3. Eagles 4. 49ers 5. Dolphins (With healthy Tua only)
