  1. So, for the Chiefs they just used an actual picture of Jackson Mahomes?
  2. Also found this: Currently, Jim Mora does game analysis for Saints games that either air on NBC or ESPN for WDSU in New Orleans
  3. Found this blurb: At 7 ft 0 in, Richard Sligh is the tallest player in professional American football history. The next tallest are Matt O'Donnell at 6 ft 11 in, Morris Stroud at 6 ft 10 in, and Dan Skipper at 6 ft 10 in. Sligh played 1 season in 1967 as a 10th round pick. O'Donnell never made an active roster, however was in camp twice for the Bengals. Stroud was a TE for the Chiefs. Played 5ish years and was on their Super Bowl team back in the Len Dawson era. Skipper is an OL and has bounced around for 6 squads most recently last year for the Detroit Lions.
  4. Anything that might take targets away from Wilson is welcome. I seriously think they have downgraded at the receiver position to appease Rodgers. If they plug Carr into what they had last year I think they would have been better off and kept some premium draft capital. And I'm no Carr fan.
  5. Actually, IIRC Beane went out of his way several times last year to say that the agent wasn't at fault in that situation and did an excellent job. Was pretty blunt about the whole situation. Laid out that after the Bills agreed to a deal and it was announced Washington swooped back in and made an offer and the player preferred to stay in Washington.
  6. Quality addition. A bit surprised they didn't push for a 2 year deal so we have someone under contract leading to next season at DT. Perhaps they did and Poona pushed for a "prove it" style. We will never likely know.
  7. Yes. Considering that up to this point I expected a healthy Allen to exceed those TD numbers in the 40-45 TD range. I believe that the presence of a competent goal line run game will drop him back to the 35-40 range.
  8. I think Allen will throw for a few less TDs in the red zone this year putting him in that 36-40 range. I see the Bills being able to run inside the 5 a bit more than in years past. Yardage wise...went low again. The 4000-4500 range. We do traditionally play in some crud weather and that takes a toll on final passing numbers. Of course Josh will break a passing record. A little loose with the specifics (Team record, NFL record) so he'll hit some kind of milestone.
  9. Far too soon to see how it all gels...but there is reason that believe that this will be a better team then last year. How that will translate to the win/loss column is very fluid, however. -IOL should be significantly better in run and pass pro -The sum of Kincaid/Harty/Sheffield should upgrade on McKenzie/Crowder/Kumerow/Beasley -Additions of Harris/Murray give new element to run game -Allen's elbow should be healed along with Cook/Shakir possibly having expanded roles. -On defense Having Hyde back and Poyer healed significantly upgrade the S position. Throw Rapp into the mix and we are deep there. -Hoping White rebounds and Von comes back ready. Even if those 2 guys play at 75% of what they were preinjury that's a huge upgrade to what we had at the end of the year. -Fraziet out/McDermott in at DC. This is going to be the biggest plus for the Bills. I actually like Frazier. Good man, a TON of knowledge. His presence will be missed during the week in the clubhouse. But he tended to be too passive. If Coach falls back to his roots as a playcaller that defense should be more attacking than we have seen in the past. Now, it does appear on paper the schedule (specifically the away and division) will be BEASTLY. But it's a week to week leage and it's a matter of what shape some of those teams are in when we play them. As long as Buffalo finds 10-11 wins and makes the playoffs they have a chance. Go Bills!
  10. I think it's a fair betting line. Our road schedule looks to be a beast. KC, Cincy and Philly all on the road...with a game each at Miami and the Jets. We may not lose them all...but we may drop a game at home or two as well. 10-7 is possible. 13-3 is as well. Factor in if Josh misses a game or two...other injury piling up. In short, as a betting line it seems fair. If all goes to plan, we should beat it. But it is a long season and things don't always go to plan.
  11. I said this wayyyyy up thread and I'll repeat it here. This all ends with them redoing his contract and him staying.
  12. Kincaid will be fun to watch and will see targets. But Gabe Davis rarely leaves the field. Routinely last year Davis was even the WR the rare times we had 1 WR out there because he add the blocking element. Kincaid will be out there in certain packages. Maybe 40ish snaps a game in my opinion. Barring missing time to injury Davis should be seeing a ton of targets.
  13. Peyton Manning talking about idiot kickers, Marvin Harrison and Jerry Rice on the field...and Travis Henry catches a TD. Epic clip
  14. PFF os incorrect on this. From The Athletic (Paywall) "With the 59th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Bills selected Florida guard O'Cyrus Torrence. Torrence played only one season with the Gators, but over his college career split between Louisiana and Florida, he started his last 34 games at right guard and 13 games as a freshman at left guard" Draft Profile on NFL.com "He immediately stepped into the starting lineup in Lafayette, beginning 13 of 14 contests at left guard in 2019." TThat's just 2. There are many more.
  15. True. However the stances you are taking are not fact as well, though you seem to be trying to present them as such. The position is very much in a wait and see...on both ends of the conversation.
  16. That's actually not true. Torrence started out at LG. Started 13 games as a freshman at LG. Switched to RG. Now, he may be better suited for RG..but he does have the experience at LG.
  17. Can we stop using Pro Bowl as a way to quantify a player being good? Making a Pro Bowl is meaningless these days and has been for a while. Tyler Huntley was a "Pro Bowl" QB last year. Mac Jones was the year before that. Saffold "made the Pro Bowl" last year the same way Huntley and Jones did as well. Injury replacement. Now this isn't to say at one point Saffold wasn't a very good player. He was. Just wasn't that dude last year. Easy to see if McGovern can play even average it's an improvement. Likewise, even if he flops Torrence may be able to free up Bates to slide in there or perhaps even Edwards regains his form from his time with Kromer and plays the spot. Unlike what MANY complain about at RT...Buffalo has options at both G spots that are possible and even likely improvements
  18. I like Harris, but he has struggled with some injury and fumbles in his career. Murray will provide some nice insurance. Harris is talented, however if he's not what the Bills are thinking he may turn into this year's OJ Howard and Murray ends up rostered. Yet another fun camp battle to watch.
  19. Think I may have either misspoke or you misunderstood what I meant. I wasn't saying he would be #1 WR on half the teams in the NFL. I meant he could start on half the teams. Contrary to belief he actually is a solid #2...better than most have. There are options for that 2A or 2B guy on the roster. Shakir, Harty, Sheffield and even Kincaid will be given the chance to be that guy. Hopefully one of them steps up and grabs a hold of the opportunity.
  20. AJ Klein is that veteran. Dodson is a vet. Beane has pretty much said after adding Williams they feel the LB room set. They are ready to see what they have in Bernard and Spector.
  21. I'll say this...I'm interested to see who they open up the season against on Thursday. 4 reallllly solid options. Buffalo- We opened on the road last year. Not sure they will put us there 2 years in a row Cincinnati- AFCCG rematch seems like a solid choice. Miami- The return of Tyreek Philadelphia-SB Rematch On a side note...gee how fortunate that the Chiefs get these 4 tough matchups...all at home while Buffalo plays all of the same teams on the road (sans splitting with Miami, of course).
  22. First off, that's a big if. There are reasons why Jones dropped to where he did. Bailing on the Senior Bowl after 1 practice. Not doing anything at his pro day. Screams lazy and or entitled to me. Also, that undersized LB is actually listed bigger than Milano. Don't hear anyone complaining about Cookie's size. Same size or bigger than many of the top tier LBs in the NFL. The difference between Williams and Jones as football players? One works hard and has some good upside. The other may have leveled off and doesn't seem like the type that will put in the hard work to get to the next steps.
  23. And I can confirm that I am not the other one. I am not expected to sign tomorrow or any day thereafter.
  24. Agree with the bolded 100%. The "problem" with Davis is that he isn't Tee Higgins as a "#2WR". Having a second WR like that really is a rarity and not the rule. As a number 2 WR Davis would start for roughly half the teams in the NFL IMO. The only issues I do have with Davis are his ankles and his consistency...which may or may not come back to the ankle issue.
  25. And he's managed to stay pretty healthy especially for a big guy that takes on a lot of contact. Think of other top TEs. Waller and Kittle miss a bit of time. Gronk was routinely a walking MASH unit. As much as I think they guy comes off like a complete tool as a person (though I have heard he's actually very likeable when not on camera) I have to respect his durability and toughness.
