  1. 836 yards. 7 TDs. 15 games. Those are solid #2 numbers. Does need to be more consistent. Does need to haul in more passes thrown his way. But I can cherry pick a stat or 2 as well.
  2. While I agree with there being multiple ways to win in the NFL...you kind of prove my point a bit. You can get all the shiny new toys for the offense you want. If you don't have an offensive mind to gameplan, scheme guys open and use those weapons you're spending a ton of money for nothing. The weapons we have now are more than capable of production at a high level. Last year there were a few issues with the offense that I believe held back Dorsey. They have been addressed in my opinion. It's sink or swim time for Mr. Dorsey for sure.
  3. Beane has gotten Allen one of the top WRs in the NFL in Diggs. Just spent a 1st round pick on a promising weapon out of the slot. As much as people on this board refuse it...they have a solid #2 WR in Davis (note I said 2 NOT a 1A like Higgins that everyone wished Davis could be.) Knox is a solid target. If Allen is as great as we like to say he is....how much help does he need? Mahomes just won a SB with JuJu, Mecole Hardman (who was out for the SB) and Toney who pulls a hammy getting out of bed in the morning. And yes, he does have Kelce, but he's akin to Diggs for them. The real issue isn't weapons. It's how the weapons are used. The lack of scheming guys open. Refusal to use a running game when we play half of our games in high wind, freezing temps, rain or snow. They build a modern offense to play in old school football weather and we saw what happens against the Bengals when that happens.
  4. If you remember back before Bates started....McD was extremely hesitant to give him ANY snaps due to he versatility. Like he was "break glass only in emergency" type. I think if he doesn't end up starting he will be primary backup for C and McD will not want to risk it. We MAY carry 3 TE. Morris or one of the other guys will have to earn that spot. Also wouldn't shock to see TE3 inactive on game day. Fair to wonder if they decide to keep 1 less WR this year due to Kincaid's flexibility. Basing this year's roster number off past numbers isn't likely to even out...lots of changing parts in the bottom of the roster. Should be interesting.
  5. Doyle played pretty well in that "6th OL/Tackle eligible" role 2 years ago and up until he was hurt last year. That's an actual role on this offense. It's been helpful when the Bills do run at times to have that spot. Kincaid sure isn't going to be doing much short yardage inline blocking.
  6. I think the bigger news out of would be that Diggs finally found his way to Buffalo.
  7. I'm on board with that reasoning. Go back to his rookie year and he looked pretty solid a majority of the time. I think he can get back to that if...as you said...he's healthy. One thing I am watching going forward is a guy that size at...what is he 6'8"? Once back issues start they tend to be an ongoing issue. Back problems can and have derailed many a talented guy before. Hoping it's not the case for him.
  8. Bills were the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl last year. Betting odds mean diddly lol
  9. Solid signing especially for this late in the off season. Lots of experience. Competition for Brown that hopefully he will be challenged by and rise to the occasion.
  10. Personally, my favorite are the stores that try and get you to "round up for" whatever charity it is that month. Then they take all the money from the people who were scared to say no and donate it in the corporate name...getting not only credit for the donation but a nice tax break. Wegmans is terrible about this.
  11. I wouldn't mind DHop. However, if Beane is gone within the next 3 years it won't be because he didn't sign a 30 year old WR. And if for some reason the Chiefs find the money and sign him and it leads KC to more Super Bowls and Mahomes more awards then my money is on the guy who talked Pegula into waiting til late first to POSSIBLY draft Mahomes to be shown the door first. Especially if his defense doesn't show well this year.
  12. I like Hines. Think he could be a good addition to the offense. Maybe this is the year he learns the playbook (finally) and can see the field on offense to help Josh out.
  13. You know, I buy that. I'll add that while he has also always been very very good about his charity work and helping those in need...he also makes sure to get credit and a spotlight for doing his charity work and helping those in need. His public image seems very carefully crafted and he's always come across as a phony to me.
  14. Welp, he had a chance to play in front of this fanbase and apparently though Kylar Murray gave him a better chance at a ring than Josh Allen. So JJ can eff right off.
  15. You took 1 line out of context. Nowhere did I say he was an upgrade. Nowhere did I say he way a replacement. My statement reflects that there is a place for someone of his size and skillset in the modern NFL game.
  16. If there is a saving grace for Bernard it's that the days of that 250lb thumper of a LBer are gone. Smaller, faster and more athletic is the fresh wave. Teams need these guys to be able to cover slot guys, RBs and fly around the field a bit thanks to the way the offense has trended to lighter/faster skill position guys. It's his instincts as a rookie that I would love to see improvement on. Size wise, sure he's a bit smaller but he's really not that far off of the average NFL LBer these days. I feel like if he can play without hesitation he could be a really nice piece eventually.
  17. His trade deadline moves. Be it trading for Kelvin Benjamin, trading for Hines then not seeing him used on offense because he's "still getting to know the playbook" or standing pat when a move or two could/should be made for a playoff push...Trade Deadline Beane always seems to come up short.
  18. I would say that claiming they are ONLY motivated by money is a bit of an overstatement. Sure, money matters. Matters to everyone no matter what their job is, right? But some guys do have other things that motivate them. Some do want to win. Some want to play with guys they know. And yes, some are just hired mercs looking for a payday. Everything that would factor into you taking a new job factors in for them too. What's the pay? What's the company like? Where is it? What's the atmosphere? Believe me, if a guy would make a million or so less playing here or for Philly, KC or another top team over making more playing for a crud franchise...that extra million or so doesn't carry much weight for some.
  19. Kenny Pickett should have been Justin Herbert. Seriously, Pickett looks like a bad artist tried to draw a picture of Herbert from memory.
  20. Baltimore receivers will be ecstatic if Lamar makes it past week 12 and they aren't catching passes from "Pro Bowler" Tyler Huntley.
  21. I'd agree that they drafted well last year. But all the moves they made due to that ownership decision to bring Rodgers in (basically turning into Packers East Coast) on offense was very short sighted. They look to have overpaid for Lazard to make Aaron happy. Got older at the skill positions and tied up a lot of money to do it. They are VERY fortunate to get Rodgers at such a low price this year....but next year they are in a situation and will have A Williams new contract on the books as well. They are basically saying "we have 1 year to win it all". And they pushed all on with the Chiefs, Bengals and Bills still closer then they are. Saleh is talking a HUGE game right now by putting the Jets on the same level as those teams just because they traded for a 40 year old QB who won 8 games last year and missed the playoffs by losing a home game in the last week to the Lions.
  22. When it's all said and done...my bet is that he signs with some weird a** team no one saw coming and wasn't ever "in" on him previously. Someone like the Giants or Bears.
  23. Loyalty works both ways. I have been a devoted Bills fan since childhood. Even during my military days when I lived out of the area. When streaming games, oversaturated coverage on all NFL teams being readily accessable or having the ability to follow day to day happenings was really possible. I had a subscription to Shout but that was always way behind. Family would send out the Buffalo News sports page from time to time. But I always stayed loyal to my team. That said, had the Bills moved to Toronto or some other place and left the area...I was full on ready to be a Giants fan. Even more so with the current set up of ex Bills GM and HC and several former Bills players rostered they would be easy enough to switch to...likely casually at first but closer to diehard as time moved on.
  24. Well thought out and broken down. Appears bwe agree on the vast majority. One thing I will say is when it comes to dollar investments, Beane isn't afraid to cut bait on someone that isn't providing what they thought they would get. Case in point just last year: OJ Howard who was (IIRC) about $3M in dead cash after getting the boot. If someone like Harris doesn't meet standard (I believe he will...always been a fan of his talents) Beane with ear some dead money if he has to.
