Noah Fant Released by Sea Sicks
BuffaloBillyG replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am so tired of this being regurgitated left and right this off season. This is the same guy that set team rookie receiving records just two seasons ago. If he played last year as injured as was talked about it's understandable he had a down year. Let's not suddenly act like the kid is Charles Clay. He does need to stay healthy and take a step forward, granted. But there are a lot of pages left to be written on him before saying he's a disappointment. He still has the same upside he has coming into last year. Knox is who he is. As you say, good blocker, makes a splash play here and there. His only issue is what the Bills chose to pay him. He does a lot of the little things that don't show up on fantasy sheets, but help the team win on the field. Fantastic is a decent receiving TE that disappears in a lot of games. He, like Knox are who they are at this stage of their career. And I think Knox is the better overall football player -

Titans QB Will Levis ruled out for the 2025 season
BuffaloBillyG replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly watching him the last couple years here and there...his decision making and freestyle type play reminded me a lot of year 1/2 Josh Allen. Unfortunately for Levis, I don't see the same career progression. I think he's at his ceiling already. -

Beane is good at drafting after all -- A look at 2022
BuffaloBillyG replied to boater's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he's found some good players. He's had some whiffs too. I believe a lot of it falls on his drafting style. Seems he would rather find a few of what he calls "Steady Eddie's" each draft and play it safe over taking a big chance on elite talent with some character/injury flags. And drafting as late as we traditionally have under him, that's the type of player with elite potential he's going to see in the late 20s. He's more of a higher floor/lower ceiling type drafter. And that was the way to be the first few years while building culture and turning the team from drought era to perennial playoff team. I think he needs to take a few more risks. -
Noah Fant Released by Sea Sicks
BuffaloBillyG replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fant is a steady player. Never really going to be a mega producer, but will get some key grabs each year. That said, he's pretty much hit his ceiling and I like what we have in our TE room better. -
Doesn't it usually end up on YouTube like 2 days later?

Will Josh getting married finally get us to a superbowl?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Frankly, I don't know if the Allen's swing that way.... -

Well she sacked Josh better than most🤷🏼♂️ -
I agree with this 100%. The thing I think helps is out is Bosa is here on a 1 year deal. This is his "prove it". Really the last chance he has to turn this season into a big contract. And he realizes this. He knows if he wants a big payday next year, he needs to produce this year. That means he has to stay on the field. I think a lot of the injuries that saw him out in the past he will play through. I think he appears on the injury report frequently, but is game day active for a high % of games.

He seems more of a Whatchamacallit type guy anyway...

I think TJ Sanders has that kind of potential.

Where does Khalil Shakir rank in terms of NFL WRs?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd probably have him in the 50-75 area. And the difference is what style nof offense I happen to run. This also has more to do with WR talent around the league than it does any knock on talent Shakir himself has. Now if you're talking about SLOT WRs, he would obviously shoot up the list. -
Chargers reveal alternate uniforms which will be all gold
BuffaloBillyG replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Those ain't gold they are bright yellow. Looks like mustard. Now we know why Bosa had a pulled muscle. He saw those things and ran outta town as fast as he could. -
Quarterback Career Comparison Allen vs Lamar
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillytheKid's topic in The Stadium Wall
Trent Dilfer Super Bowl wins: 1 Nick Foles Super Bowl wins: 1 Brad Johnson Super Bowl wins: 1 Dan Marino Super Bowl wins: 0 Wins (even Super Bowl wins) are a team stat...not a QB stat. -
I know I'm in the VAST minority here and I understand the tradition behind them...but I absolutely despise the standing bison helmets. Such a boring look IMO. I say, give us a look we haven't seen before. Something fresh. Though based off other teams recent throwbacks I do not have confidence in the production of something new that looks good.

I'm more upset Dareus slept through the Dareus years. What a tub of goo he turned into.

I'm watching to see what the Rams end up giving Kyran Williams. I think that's a sensible floor for what Cook can expect. Production wise the two aren't far off from each other. And while I believe Cook is a bit better than Williams, I would place him closer to Williams than I would Henry or Barkley.

Predict Most improved/Most likely to regress
BuffaloBillyG replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
For most improved I have to think a healthy Dalton Kincaid is a good bet. I think he has a great season. A leap from him is expected. My most likely to regress is James Cook. I think the TD total last year was an anomaly and expect that to drop by at least half. Gotta remember, a lot of those short yardage TDs came in a year where Allen had a broken hand in game 1, and they weren't running him as much inside the 5 (aside from the push play). I also think Ray Davis is worked in a little more in year two. -
NFL Quarterback on Netflix-new season
BuffaloBillyG replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly, I want to see a documentary about the Giants QB room in general this year. You have Russ Wilson who was handed the starting job, but is not well liked historically among his team. You have Winston who is borderline insane, however extremely well liked in the locker room and a rookie in Dart that will likely see starts when the Giants are eliminated...so like by week 10. Couple all that with a Head coach that is sitting on a seat that's hotter than the 2002 version of Jessica Alba.....this would make for excellent TV. -
All the people trying to to shoe this new guy into a starting spot are hysterical. But three significant things happened people refuse to understand. 1. Hamlin was a FA. They brought him back. 2. The Bills did not address S with a meaningful pick expected to make immediate impact 3. Despite there being a lot of really good options in FA, they brought in a guy that, if he makes the team will likely be for STs. Add that all up and that tells me they are happier with Hamlin than fans are. Honestly, while I do believe that position needed an upgrade...Rapp is just as big of a liability (if not more) than Hamlin IMO.
