  1. Gilliam is a victim of what I call FFBDS. Fantasy Football Derangement Syndrome. If a guy isn't putting up stats...he's worthless. However in the real world of football played on the grass and turf every team needs those guys that do the dirty work. Eat up ST snaps. Play several roles on GameDay that go overlooked. Guys like Gilliam, Neal, Matakevich ect aren't ever going to be stars but they are PARAMOUNT to play winning football even in this day and age.
  2. Rumor has it the Bills have been playing Renegade at practice all week. They'll be ready. Go forth Matt Barkley and deliver us a sweet Steel Town Victory.
  3. McDermott said this week he'd have some opportunities against the Steelers tonight. If he makes the most of them (which includes showing a bit better at KR than last week) he has a shot IMO. I think the Bills would love to not have to use Harty returning kickoffs and let him focus on WR. I think at very worst case scenario for Isabella is he makes the PS and sees a few call ups if Harty misses any time. I do believe at some point he sees the field.
  4. Would you consider a Game Worn Peterman Ladies jersey?
  5. Chris Jones starts a GoFundMe for the Chiefs to be able to afford him. Normally, I'm on the side of an athlete making what he can. But this is a d*ck move IMO.
  6. I agree that on paper middle of the pack is right about where the Bills should be at the moment. However, I think if utilized properly by the end of the year as a group they may be viewed much higher. The talents that each has is diversified enough to cause some true matchup nightmares. Hopefully the sum of the parts will result in something that is very hard to defend. Only 26? You know we can't take anything under 35 seriously.
  7. Weird that they don't even list Knox as a pass catching option. As a matter of fact, they basically have Kincaid described as an inline TE. I'm going to say these rankings are inconclusive at best. "18. Buffalo Bills WR: Stefon Diggs WR: Gabe Davis WR: Trent Sherfield WR: Khalil Shakir RB: James Cook TE: Dalton Kincaid Buffalo didn’t have a reliable underneath option last year behind Diggs, leading them to rely on Cole Beasley in their embarrassing divisional-round loss to the Bengals. Enter first-round tight end Kincaid out of Utah. Long term, Kincaid is a potentially fantastic addition. But rookie tight ends must learn to block NFL defensive ends and get open against NFL defenders, so they rarely contribute early. If Josh Allen ever checked it down, we might be looking at Cook as one of the best receiving backs in the league."
  8. Will Peter Dinkledge be in attendance?
  9. Starts places like this. Carries over to Facebook, Reddit and elsewhere. From that groundswell chodes like Thad Brown decide it's a "story the Bills fans care about" and it's over blown and over discussed. Brought up in interviews...much like they tried to get him discussing the Brit Break up. Just enjoy the dude playing ball.
  10. He did, but slightly different circumstances. Edmunds came from a larger program and had more experience in the position. Buffalo was also not a Super Bowl contender at the time. They were more in learning mode. So, it has happened, I'd be ok if it happened again, but also understand the reservation.
  11. Josh: "I like my privacy and it makes me uncomfortable to have my private life discussed." Bills fans: "Let's start a 15 page thread discussion on Josh's private life"
  12. He'd end up distracted from popping the bubbles.
  13. I still call it The Ralph.
  14. Good thing Tua learned to fall.
  15. I know they took it off the radar, but I still say they are missing the boat so to speak on not giving Williams a shot there. Yes, the position requires a lot and may be a bit much for him right now. But let the kid in there to take a few lumps, learn some lessons and get the reps so he's up to speed come January. Put your most talented players on the field.
  16. Fair points. However, most teams have a side they predominantly run to...and for the most part it's traditionally been right side of offense. Teams can overload that side...just takes one Allen fake right scramble left to keep that honest. Or counter left to Cook who can burn them on that. I do think calling a guy that didn't surrender a sack his entire college career a liability in the pass game is a bit overzealous. Does he have some room to grow and learn? Sure. But he's hardly inept in that spot at pass blocking. Brown is the only potential liability I see in pass pro on the line. Agree, the Jets will be an excellent test early. I'm actually glad we get them week 1.
  17. ESPN used to be an all day watch. Flip it on and have SportsCenter in the background all day. Now? It's a nauseating bunch of know it all's that say things not to educate or report on what happened in the world of sports...but to cause controversy and get their name out there. They moved away from intelligent sportscasters to more and more former athletes who prove that those that actually play the game are often the least knowledgeable about it. There are of course some exceptions to that, but for every Nate Burleson there are 20 Emmanuel Achos.
  18. No one said he will play scared man. As a fan knowing if he gets hurt our season goes nowhere, I'm allowed to have some trepidation.
  19. Wrap him in bubble wrap, please.
  20. You can be a seller as well as a buyer. Player for player trades near the deadline are something Beane has done in the past as well. I think that's more likely...but maybe Beane parts with one of his 6ths if he has to.
  21. That's what I have heard as well, however I think you are over analyzing this. We are a pass first team with a HEAVY slant on the pass game. The positive of having a plus pass blocker in that spot outweighs the negative IMO. To compensate for that, we have a whole nother side to the OL. Spencer Brown for all his issues has been a good run blocker. If Torrence wins the RG job is an excellent run blocker. Mitch Morse is very good in the pin and pull blocking scheme. Any guesses what they were practicing early in camp? Pin and pull. You're going to see a lot of runs to the right side of the offense this year. Lean into strength.
  22. A Beachum trade would be ok...but if I'm targeting an OT from Arizona I'm looking at Josh Jones first.
  23. All very valid points. Some I agree wholeheartedly with and others not. However let me ask this. Are you happier paying Morse right now as opposed to potentially having drafted Creed and had him on a rookie contract for 4 years? Then when his contract is up letting him walk and gain a potential comp pick in return. What you are saying is somewhat contridicting by saying you wouldn't have wanted the guy on the rookie contract for a 4 year stretch....yet also don't want to pay a center like we pay Morse.
  24. I was thinking Boogie...straight up. But this works too.
