I actually am a Gabe supporter. I like Davis a lot. I think some expect too much from him as WR2, but he is solid. I didn't put blame of the INT on him, I put him not fighting to make the attempt to prevent it on him. Which you agree may have prevented the INT.

That's. The. Whole. Point. My original post even acknowledged it was a poor pass. From my understanding, trying to break up an INT is a good thing.

Small sample size of a few PS games...but from what I see Sherfield can give us everything Gabe can...with added toughness.

Gabe needed to fight for that a bit. Bad pass but he has to help his QB out.

I really like what I've seen from Sherfield this preseason. He's going to make some plays IMO

He has the frame that suggests he should be able to make contested catches. He just plays it a tad soft for my liking.

I stand by my opinion that we actually have a better player (or a guy that will turn out better) on the roster already...but he's being used to back up WLB instead of seeing live reps at a position we need filled.

Will be fun to see Edmunds make tackles 15 yards up field again. If he plays.

If I were a Cowboy fan I'd be really upset. First I would be upset that my life is so empty and pathetic that I cheer for the Cowboys. Second, I'd be really cheesed off that they spent a 4th rounder on a guy that is for now #3 on the QB depth chart and might turn into a mid level backup. I see the Marcus Mariota career path as his ceiling.

When people say this it always reminds me of a guy we had a few years back. A RB. Flashed a bit late in preseason games. Thought to myself...ah...good for him but he'll be out of the league next week. He's looking good against the other grocery clerks. Guy just kept playing. Next thing you know the fella actually had a spot on the team and made a former 1st rounder at his position expendable. Point is, they have to start somewhere and some players use the opportunity to get their reps in, hone their craft a bit and make improvements. While it's easy to see a guy like Basham as a waste due to draft status, sometimes guys just take a bit longer.
