  1. I'm unsure about draft...however IOL is a strong FA class provided they don't resign with their current teams. I would expect at bare minimum that LG and RT should see competition. Bates and Brown both played well IMO (Brown was a little more hit and miss). After the line struggled early with the "run it back" approach last year with the same starters I'm hoping that a few solid games don't talk Beane out of upgrades to the unit.
  2. It may also be an indication of the plans the Bills have with an eye to FA and the draft. A few new linemen and speed on offense seemed like a thought in Beane's mind at his presser.
  3. I think Matakevich will be offered to stay with a pay cut like Morse was last year. He takes a lot of the core ST snaps. If he takes it or not is another issue. I think Ford's future with the team hinges on if he fits what Dorsey wants to run in the blocking schemes. If he fits what we went to do (even as a reserve) he'll likely be here finishing out his rookie contract. Even though Beane "anticipates Beasley being back" he also said they have not had a conversation yet. At his current cap hit...not certain he's here. Also, no guarentee he will rework his deal which may end up leading to a release. Lots of moving parts with all these guys, for sure.
  4. Some of which is reflective on blockers getting to the 2nd level.
  5. However outside of the 2 stats you make mention of the Vikings line is ranked higher or better performing on almost every other stat line you provided. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  6. Vikings actually gave up 30 total sacks last year which was 5th FEWEST in the league.
  7. In fairness he has had 3 years as either the line coach or Assistant line coach. He also is a former OL player at UCLA. (Hopefully) learned something from Tom Cable and Bill Callahan in his time under them. Agree that our offensive staff is young...however that's not necessarily a bad thing.
  8. Cousins normally doesn't run for his life. Dalvin Cook always has nice holes to run through. That's not all on the coach, of course.. But it's a really nice potential step in the right direction.
  9. Yes, he's setting himself up for when the Giants start 0-4 and average 12 points a game. The snide will come back hard lol
  10. Little known fact. Rich Kotite was the 1st Head Coach with Lebanese decent. Other famous NFLers that are in part Lebenese: John Elway, Doug Flutie, Jeff George and Miami Dolphins founder Joe Robbie.
  11. I agree that is how it is being presented. As we all should know by now what the actual chain of events that took place behind closed doors may differ from that.
  12. I agree with what you are saying by and large. My thought, however is that of any white coach the Vikings could choose, Harbaugh and his resume would be an understandable, plausible and even almost bulletproof coach to pick. He has experience, a successful track record and is qualified for the job. The rumor now falls that the Vikings are picking Kevin O'Connell. A 36 year old who has been a coach for 5 years and is yet another Caucasian coach fasttracked into being a HC. This was the first interview he had. After Harbaugh "withdrew" the rumored finalists were O'Connell, Raheem Morris and Patrick Graham. One of those guys isn't like the others. This isn't to say O'Connell won't do the job or didn't win it outright by being the best interview...but the optics on this hire are not great at all.
  13. Couldn't look much worse than what's being reported in Minnesota. If O'Connell is indeed the guy (36, no HC experience, been a coach for 5 seasons) picked over Patrick Graham (well reguarded coach, almost 20 years experience) and Raheem Morris (HC experience. Ended badly however has done an excellent job since and has rebuilt his image) the NFL should brace for a sizable backlash IMO. This isn't to say that O'Connell is going to be bad. But the optics the day after the Floresgate dropped isn't good.
  14. Of course, the ironic thing about that would be- A- Minnesota just hired a minority for their GM job B- Of all the Caucasian coaches in the process now...Harbaugh would be the one coach that you could justify through qualifications the easiest.
  15. I could see that in most years. However I wouldn't want to be the next team that announces a new 1st time Caucasian Head Coach.
  16. I do NOT want Fitz as QB2. Hoping he retires, buys seasons and comes tailgating with us. It's his rightful place😂😂
  17. Minnesota going with the Giants DC now? Wonder if the Flores lawsuit is trickling in here. I would HATE to be a team with an open HC job at the moment. It's a 100% lose/lose for them.
  18. Good luck matching Allen's insatiable thirst for winning and improving himself. THAT'S the thing that separates Josh Allen from any of the 100s of failed QBs that came before him with "raw talent".
  19. I don't think he's going to be available and I know I'll get crucified for this...but bring me Minshew.
  20. If not I'm sure there is a rather profitable massage house down that way that would love to buy the Dolphins and stick it to Kraft twice a year.
  21. 23-16-3 record as a coach. Honestly that would likely get him an extension these days.
