Agree. It may be his first game but those Jet CB are really good. Might be a good game to work the middle. Maybe Kincaid has a TD to save the week lol.
-
Hmm. I have Kelce on 2 of my fantasy teams. Both teams I have Dalton Kincaid as the backup, figuring he could step in later in the season if needed. Looks like the Rook may get the start week 1.

What's the under/over on plays until he pops that hammy again? 25? Not wishing bad luck on him or anything but the guy just doesn't stay on the field long.

Here's the thing about this game. I know it's a week 1 game and there's a LOT of season to play...but for the Jets this is a MUST win game. Before you snicker consider the following: - Aaron Debut as a Jet - Monday night football. - At Home - On Sept 11th - Saleh and the Jets ran their mouth all off season - Media Darlings to include Hard Knocks - The many moves they made with beating Buffalo in mind This is their Super Bowl. This to them is the same as those early season games we have had against KC. Their whole off season of hype and good feelings culminates with this one game. Saleh has crowed and put the target on the Jets back. They cannot fail week 1. Furthermore, the league needs the Jets to win this game. The hype machine that was the Jets off season needs to continue so they can push the Rodgers led Jets in a large market. Anything close I expect to fall the Jets way. Sometimes, that's just the hand you're dealt. For the Bills this is just a week 1 game.Yes, it's against a division rival but Buffalo's outlook is going to be more "go 1-0 every week". And if they don't they won't panic. They will move on to the Raiders. Buffalo can (even though Vegas has them favorites) play this game with far less pressure IMO. I believe Allen, Diggs and crew will be fired up. They were lackluster (to put it mild) the last time they played a game that counted. And a fired up Allen playing to prove a point is a scary thing.

What a great place to come and talk football
BuffaloBillyG replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
NORM!!!! In all seriousness, nice write up. It's a nice place for sure with a little of everything for everyone. A nice combination of people who like statistic analysis combined with people just talking out their arses. -
Bragging rights. That's the valuable prize. I believe the Bills will come out in their "11.5 formation". Diggs, Davis on the outside. Kincaid in the slot. First play will be a slant to Dalton Kincaid for 6 yards. Nothing fancy. Safe completion to get Josh in a rhythm. This also gets the rookie involved early and gets him going. What say you?

Will boogie basham be the next Wyatt Teller for Beane?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not likely IMO. I believe he will do what he's always done. Flash for a play here and there and then go 6 weeks of being invisible. -
Yes, a duels role for sure. And a likely step up from Joe Judge last season🤣🤣

Peter King picks Bills to be in the Super Bowl
BuffaloBillyG replied to KCNC's topic in The Stadium Wall
For a team that reportedly had their window slam shut I see a LOT of people still picking the Bills to make the Super Bowl. And for a team that's constantly talked about...I see very very few predictions with the Jets in the Big Game. Odd. -
In fairness, the QB coaches in Arizona and NE are in their first year this season with the team in that capacity. The Browns Grant took over last year and while Watson looked like a pile of dung, let's not forget Jacoby Brissett actually looked like a suitable QB under Grant's coaching last year.
-
I know you didn't ask me, but I thought it was an interesting question so I looked it up. Bills-Joe Brady- WR Patriots -BOB-Linebacker Browns-Ashton Grant - WR Steelers-Mike Sullivan -DB Titans-Charles London-RB Cardinals -Israel Woolfork-WR There were 2 more teams that didn't officially have a QB coach (both have former QBs as OC, so double duty is likely there)

All-Pro DT Chris Jones not at Chiefs Mandatory Minicamp
BuffaloBillyG replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Valid. It will have some bearing for the first 8 weeks. However the major difference here as after Von went down...he didn't come back for the playoff run. So their defense will be vulnerable in the beginning of the season. So what? 2 of those first 8 games are against Denver. Another against the Bears. And they have enough offensive firepower to go 5-3 or 6-2 over that time IMO. -
Yea I agree. That whole Brady/Guerrero situation was...weird. Somewhat surprised that Belichick would allow that much leeway in his building.... unless Kraft overruled him. Payton always struck me as a real smug guy. There really aren't many coaches I have a lower personal opinion on...so I may be bias😂. Wouldn't shock me if push came to shove Russ is scapegoat number one for him next season.
-
Elam is very good at pressing a WR off the line. Did very well on Tyreek last year doing the same. I believe it's actually his greatest strength. Doesn't need to. Jam at the line. Legal. Throws the timing off and may knock him a fet feet away from his route.
-
Honestly, I would like Elam on Wilson to press him a bit and take him off his route. Make Aaron take that extra split second so our pressure can get there.

Who got better deal on QB Browns or Broncos?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
Russ is the better of the two only because his contract isn't fully guaranteed. I suppose. Would like to see him under a coach not named Hackett before I completely write him off...but he was pretty bad last year as well. -
Vikings Chad Greenway takes shot at Leslie Frazier defense
BuffaloBillyG replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just takes 1 owner to do it. And there are from time to time, openings that a coach like Frazier is perfect for. Take the Texans a few years back. Culley was hired to basically be a scapegoat/anti Bill O'Brien. Lend some normalcy after having a coach that was just wild. A coach popular with the players that brings a steady hand and level approach. Now the older he gets I'll agree the less likely it becomes. -
All-Pro DT Chris Jones not at Chiefs Mandatory Minicamp
BuffaloBillyG replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes and no. I mean, it will hurt them if he sticks to his word and sits until week 8 if no agreement is made. But if he finally reports then he will be plenty fresh and rested for the playoff run and beyond. 8 weeks of bumps, bruises and exhaustion taken away and fresh as a daisy. -

Now that's not going to help Leslie get a HC job next year.... -
Weird. Opened for me. Maybe this one's better. https://www.si.com/nfl/seahawks/news/seattle-seahawks-russell-wilson-personal-team-booted-out-new-denver-broncos-coach-sean-payton "That's foreign to me," new coach Sean Payton said in his first meeting this week with the Denver media. "That's not going to take place here. I'm not familiar with it, but our staff will be here. Our players will be here. "And that'll be it."
-
I know there was some hubbub when Payton first got to Denver. At the very least he said that Russ's people wouldn't be allowed in. Not that it could have been "new coach lip service" and of course there is nothing saying Wilson can't meet with his own people on his own time....but at least in the building it appears that Webb is the guy in charge of the room. And it doesn't appear Payton wants to be hand in hand with Wilson's team. Of course all that is subject to change even if you take these statements at face value.
