  1. Couple other tidbits from the Dallas search. Kellen Moore gives me "Jason Garrett" hiring vibes. But Prime in Dallas would be a 💩 storm. I frankly hope that happens
  2. Leslie Frazier probably has no chance at this job. I think this is to help check boxes. But interesting that Frazier is getting a look here. I don't think he's a good fit in Dallas. But a team that needs a steady handed coach to help set culture like the Jags or Raiders could do worse than a "Bridge HC" like Leslie.
  3. Maybe you're right. Maybe they don't go head to head during the game. But in the "5th quarter" Allen whoops Jackson's arse 10 times outta 10
  4. I just watched the Bills/Ravens game from earlier in the season again last night. A couple things I took away. 1. That first play 87 yard TD run by Henry set the tone. It made Buffalo have to play catch up all day and it really set the crowd to a frenzy. I would hope the same thing doesn't happen this time. If I'm Baltimore, I try and take advantage and my first play is a play action deep bomb on play 1 thinking the Bills will overcommit to the run. 2. After the half Buffalo was moving the Ball. They were driving down the field easily and had all of the momentum. I really think they were about to come back and win that game. And then Joe Brady made, what I believe was, his worst play call of the year with that idiotic trick play. Baltimore stopped it in embarrassing fashion, got the ball and momentum back and ran away with it. 3. Baltimore played good defense and had a nice plan. And their defense has gotten better throughout the season. I believe I saw yesterday that it was the top defense from weeks 11 on in the NFL. Hamilton is a terror back there. 4. Can't start slow this game. Can... NOT
  5. Oh I fully understand he's part of a small group of head coaches that are pretty much permanently safe. The only was I see a new coach in Buffalo in the foreseeable future is if McD steps away on his own for health or family issues. And I wouldn't wish either of those things to happen.
  6. When was the last time a team lost in the playoffs at home 3 straight years? I'm sure it's happened before but don't remember when. If anything it's very rare. I've always been a McDermott supporter. But losing a third straight time in the Divisional round at home...even I would acknowledge it's time for new leadership.
  7. I'm sure he's noted as being good at his job or he wouldn't be up for a promotion. But I'll take the two 3rds and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
  8. I know there were some other factors in there but basically: Pick 56 For Diggs & the dead cap hit not to have him. I'm satisfied with that at the moment. We will see how it's spent for the final result.
  9. The nerds in the press box Coaches are too busy....coaching. Preparing their team for next week. They don't have time to watch the entire relevant scope of college football on a weekly basis.
  10. It took until week 18 and blowing the Bills acquired 2nd round pick, but someone reminded Sam Darnold that he is still, indeed Sam Darnold.
  11. IN depth analysis, as always from Irv
  12. Lighting candles for those affected by the fires is somewhat ironic...dontcha think?
  13. Was just about to post the same. I can see McCarthy getting the Jets or Jags job. Probably in play for Raiders as well. In any event it likely pushes Brady down the list a bit. Actually, the more I think about it him ending up with the Jets and Aaron Rodgers would be almost as funny as if they hired Rex Ryan.
  14. Reminds me of the scene from Bull Durham where Crash Davis gets ejected for calling the ump a certain name. There's definitely a right way and a wrong way to address the officials. In an ideal world Josh should let his coaching staff handle it. Getting mouthy with the ref during the game isn't always a wise decision. Actually, rather than being "thin skinned" I think this is a classy move on the ref's part. If he was that thin skinned he could have done pretty much anything to include an ejection.
  15. Leonard Fournette is a FA and spent part of last year here. But if it's a 1 or 2 week absence for Davis (and still too early to speculate) then I don't see any moves needing to be made.
  16. CEH played for the Saints week 18. Not sure if he was on active roster or a call up. Do we even know what the prognosis is on Davis yet? If it's a 1-2 week thing I would suspect the Bills just call Gore Jr up and roll with that. I don't really see any RB that's gonna come in and see meaningful snaps in the post season unless a rash of injury hits the room.
  17. They did give up a possession. Which ended up resulting in zero points. However, they kept one of the better returners in the game in check while having a few nice returns of their own. They had a backup KR/PR in that could have been an issue, but instead did well and I don't remember seeing any penalties on ST yesterday, but maybe I'm forgetting if there was one. All in all I'd call that plus football.
  18. The projected number for a franchised RB for 2025 is $13.4M. It may even go up by 2026/2027. I think he can be had cheaper over a 3 year deal .
  19. This. My philosophy has always been: Take points early when the opportunity is there unless inside the 1 yard line. Going 3/3 on FGs is better than 1/3 on cashing in for a TD. Chase points later if needed.
  20. They played plus football overall today IMO. Credit to the coaches and players However the culmination of STs all season (and last season) lead me to hoping we have someone new in charge of the unit next year.
  21. There was a time a few years back where if someone wanted to sign a top FA RB or draft one in the top half of the first round the general thought was "You're behind on what a modern NFL offense is. You're a dinosaur, get with with the times. Times, oh how they change. NFL teams value players with elite skills even at the RB position again. Henry, Barkley and Jacobs were handed big contracts...and 2 of the 3 advanced to the divisional round so far and were a big reason why. And the one that didn't (Jacobs) was matches up with one that did (Barkley) so one was destined to be one and done. But even in the loss the only reason the Pack was even close was because bod Josh Jacobs today. 2 drafts ago draft gurus both professional and amateur thought the Lions were daffy for taking Gibbs so high. That worked out. Robinson was selected by the Falcons before that and I don't think they regret that pick. Because teams play so much shell defense teams need a RB that can make a big play. Be leaned on more. They key is finding a guy with elite skills AND fits your offense. They Bills have that now. IMO they would be fools to let that walk. The answer is a shorter term contract (3ish years) with an easy out after year 2. Slightly more guaranteed up front. It's doable.
  22. I think Washing goes up big early and Baker makes it a game late.
  23. This was the first game in the playoffs where the team with what I feel has the better QB lost.
