  1. This is the time of year most fanbases have some optimism. Even Arizona and Las Vegas have some hope.
  2. Will be really impressive considering he's good for about 12 games a season the last couple of years.
  3. Russell Bodine and Marshall Newhouse were traded by Beane in separate transactions for late round picks 2 drafts out. There's a sucker born every minute...and Beane is good at finding that dude.
  4. Some people on this Earth are just flat out genetic freaks of nature. Von Miller seems like one of those guys. He's truly a rare breed. Top 1% physically. I wouldn't bet against him being physically ready very early in the season...if not by week 1 or 2. Guys like this...age is just experience and not an indication of decline. Guys that do next level training and prep work last longer. Guys like Brady, Adrian Peterson, even Frank Gore...they are just built different and have a completely different mindset. Last year we saw an "average" timetable for healing with Tre White. Even though they won't flat out admit it...his biggest hurdle in the end was his own mindset and that had him behind on his return...and playing tentatively when he did come back. That's not Von. Our biggest problem with Miller may very well be limiting him from going "full Von" too early. He's going to do the opposite of Tre and push hard both mentally and physically.
  5. Had a pretty good record in combat sports. Was always able to pull off the "dumb bad guy" henchmen role. Pretty sure he didn't have to do much "acting" there lol.
  6. Wait, not everyone has 5 or 6 Josh Allen jerseys already? 1. Blue 2. Red 3. White 4. Throwback Wyoming 5. Formal Event Jersey (For fancy events, like going out for wings) 6. High School I thought this was the basic setup?
  7. Perhaps he has a sibling that has some legal issues. I hear that's a qualifier as well.
  8. Pretty close to the truth actually. Only Randall "Tex" Cobb was a whole lot more than that.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randall_"Tex"_Cobb
  9. Donald Driver and Jordy Nelson are on the way.
  10. Ah, a fresh way to work in a "trade Oliver" chant. Awesome work.
  11. I would ask, but he blocked me after sending me a DM saying he's going to kick my arse because I dared question his accuracy. Methinks the coach has a bit of "Ye Olde Roid Rage".
  12. I think the teams that will get the hype this year as the "best AFC team...can't miss....already won the Super Bowl in week 4" team in the media is going to be the Bengals. Watch for them to be the "trendy" pick. Also, if the Jets start out something like 2 or 3 and O..major media hype. I also think Miami is going to get a lot of play always with the caveat of "if Tua stays healthy...watch out". Many media people picked Buffalo last year and were wrong. Doubt many double down. And that's the way I like it.😏
  13. The odd thing about him that I remember...I only watched one of his games with the Seahawks. He had something like 5 balls batted down at the line of scrimmage that game and the announcers were completely baffled.
  14. Re: The sign Carr route. They easily could have doubled down with QB in the 1st next year and move on from Wilson next year with that route. Now it becomes stickier should Rodgers not rebound or decide that he's done after this year. They likely won't have a 1st. They will be stuck with that talented young roster and... something else that is likely short term. At least Carr bides them time. Also, agree that Carr isn't going to lead a team past all of the top 3 QBs...but he may not have to. One will get knocked off by one of the other two most likely. After that...anything can happen. The bad part is if rumors are correct and it was the owner that pushed for Rodgers while Coach/GM wanted Carr and Rodgers fails...coach and GM won't possibly be around to see that next QB. They pushed all in on this year...and I don't think it was the right move at all. Time will tell.
  15. So, for the Chiefs they just used an actual picture of Jackson Mahomes?
  16. Also found this: Currently, Jim Mora does game analysis for Saints games that either air on NBC or ESPN for WDSU in New Orleans
  17. Found this blurb: At 7 ft 0 in, Richard Sligh is the tallest player in professional American football history. The next tallest are Matt O'Donnell at 6 ft 11 in, Morris Stroud at 6 ft 10 in, and Dan Skipper at 6 ft 10 in. Sligh played 1 season in 1967 as a 10th round pick. O'Donnell never made an active roster, however was in camp twice for the Bengals. Stroud was a TE for the Chiefs. Played 5ish years and was on their Super Bowl team back in the Len Dawson era. Skipper is an OL and has bounced around for 6 squads most recently last year for the Detroit Lions.
  18. Anything that might take targets away from Wilson is welcome. I seriously think they have downgraded at the receiver position to appease Rodgers. If they plug Carr into what they had last year I think they would have been better off and kept some premium draft capital. And I'm no Carr fan.
  19. Actually, IIRC Beane went out of his way several times last year to say that the agent wasn't at fault in that situation and did an excellent job. Was pretty blunt about the whole situation. Laid out that after the Bills agreed to a deal and it was announced Washington swooped back in and made an offer and the player preferred to stay in Washington.
  20. Quality addition. A bit surprised they didn't push for a 2 year deal so we have someone under contract leading to next season at DT. Perhaps they did and Poona pushed for a "prove it" style. We will never likely know.
  21. Yes. Considering that up to this point I expected a healthy Allen to exceed those TD numbers in the 40-45 TD range. I believe that the presence of a competent goal line run game will drop him back to the 35-40 range.
  22. I think Allen will throw for a few less TDs in the red zone this year putting him in that 36-40 range. I see the Bills being able to run inside the 5 a bit more than in years past. Yardage wise...went low again. The 4000-4500 range. We do traditionally play in some crud weather and that takes a toll on final passing numbers. Of course Josh will break a passing record. A little loose with the specifics (Team record, NFL record) so he'll hit some kind of milestone.
  23. Far too soon to see how it all gels...but there is reason that believe that this will be a better team then last year. How that will translate to the win/loss column is very fluid, however. -IOL should be significantly better in run and pass pro -The sum of Kincaid/Harty/Sheffield should upgrade on McKenzie/Crowder/Kumerow/Beasley -Additions of Harris/Murray give new element to run game -Allen's elbow should be healed along with Cook/Shakir possibly having expanded roles. -On defense Having Hyde back and Poyer healed significantly upgrade the S position. Throw Rapp into the mix and we are deep there. -Hoping White rebounds and Von comes back ready. Even if those 2 guys play at 75% of what they were preinjury that's a huge upgrade to what we had at the end of the year. -Fraziet out/McDermott in at DC. This is going to be the biggest plus for the Bills. I actually like Frazier. Good man, a TON of knowledge. His presence will be missed during the week in the clubhouse. But he tended to be too passive. If Coach falls back to his roots as a playcaller that defense should be more attacking than we have seen in the past. Now, it does appear on paper the schedule (specifically the away and division) will be BEASTLY. But it's a week to week leage and it's a matter of what shape some of those teams are in when we play them. As long as Buffalo finds 10-11 wins and makes the playoffs they have a chance. Go Bills!
