  1. Nope If the Jags are looking for a young offensive mind to help resurrect Lawrence, then I can see Brady being in a short list. After all the talk of Allen being a turnover machine this time last year, look at him now. Brady has done well to help limit opportunity for Josh to turn the ball over while still having an offense that scores points. And if I'm Brady, I seriously consider this job as long as I feel like Lawrence is coachable. They have weapons in the passing game. They have ETN that's has they same capabilities as a James Cook. An amazing rookie WR. The only real thing I'm nervous about is I'm Brady is Baalke as my GM, however there were reports that Khan may be ok with firing him if the right GM/coach combo became available. Could this be a spot for Terrence Grey to join Brady? So sure we lose Brady which sucks, but we would get 2 3rds for Grey which would soften the blow. I could also see the Jags going Kellen Moore for the same reasons as they would go Brady.
  2. The first key is to not let Mahomes roll out and extend the play. Much like Josh, Pat can create outside the pocket. Walk the pass rush into his lap and don't give him lanes to escape. Second, mix up the plan on Kelce. Bracket cover on third or inside 20. Keep outside contain whenever Worthy goes in motion. I also expect the Chief to try and dominate the run game. They have Pacheco and Hunt with two All Pros blocking against a Buffalo run defense that can get got. Winning up front will be the key just like it was in the first half last week. Anyone remember a few weeks ago when Dorian Williams kept sleep blitzing up the middle getting immediate pressure? I wanna see that blitz a few times from him and Milano.
  3. Now change the word "conservative" with patient and intelligent and read the quote again. This is a testament to how much McDermott has grown as a coach and how much Josh has progressed as a quarterback. Take what a defense gives up. Make the smart play. So that enough times in a row and you will win far more than you won't.
  4. Lamar will never win a Super Bowl being led by a guy that's won multiple Super Bowls in the past is definitely...a take.
  5. They got rid of Bill and said the Patriot Way didn't work anymore. Then proceeded to hire all ex Patriot players and coaches that were under him. This reminds me of the Buddy Nix GM hire when Ralph was handed a list of potential GMs and hired him reportedly because it was the only name on the list he recognized.
  6. Yeah he was missing some guys... Going one and done because your side gave up 45.....at home....to a rookie QB...and he gets promoted? This may be next year's "one and done" coaching candidate IMO.
  7. I believe Brady being the Saints hire went up in smoke when Dallas didn't retain McCarthy. From everything I see, their preferences are Glenn, McCarthy and maybe then Brady. And if I'm Brady I look at the remaining jobs against what MAY be open next season for a HC position. Teams that right now I would think are another bad season away from aHC search include the Dolphins, Colts, and Bengals. If I'm Joe, I may be more tempted to see if the Cincinnati job opens next year.
  8. Chicago was one of the better open jobs. Good defense. Good offensive weapons. And yes with good coaching Williams has a high ceiling. I don't know if I trust Brady to find a QB. Great players don't always translate to great executives. Reminds me of Elway looking at Josh Allen on the board and drafting Chubby.
  9. Good weapons too. And talent on defense.
  10. Ok. One less spot to settle on Brady. Now we need the Saints to get Glenn inked and I think we are solid. Good spot for Johnson to have a good young QB to work with...but that division...yessshhhh Unless he thinks he can "Doug Marrone" it like he did with Jacksonville. Get in the door and take over for a weak HC. Longshot, but it may be his best shot remaining.
  11. Why stop there. Let's grab Kyle Williams, Fred Jackson and Zo too.
  12. The matchup everyone will talk about is of course Mahomes vs Allen. And I hope the chatter all week is that Allen can't beat Mahomes when it counts. Put that chip on Josh's shoulder. The biggest matchup this week is going to be Spags and his blitzes vs Joe Brady and Aaron Kromer. This will be what decides the game IMO. Handle the blitzes and you handle that defense.
  13. Johnson is fine. He has given up some plays this year but he's made just as many. Now at times Rasul Douglas has been an issue. On a different Taron topic, he's so good in the slot and been in the league a long time. What's he missing that prevents him from being able to play outside corner? Speed? Size? I remember seeing him outside a few years back and it was a horror show.
  14. They are going with Coleman's upside rather than Cooper's past play. Those two guys have similar skill sets. Hollins does the dirty work. Samuel looking healthy brings a skill set when he's on the field no other guy in the WR room has and has seemingly either passed or is now equivalent to Cooper on the depth chart. Also, Copper is the only WR in the room that hasn't been here through the off-season in camp getting reps. Working on timing. In short, he has no definitive role unless Coleman misses time.
  15. I'm thankful we will never find out. I would have liked to see Allen have the opportunity to have the signature drive to win the game. But there's also the distinct possibility Brady would have called a run and two of those pointless outside screens and we punt. Or we get left with a long FG attempt when the weather was getting at it's worst.
  16. And the Ravens needing two there was the result of kicking that FG when we did.
  17. Hard to call this the best as ever when it's competing with "Jerry's eating rice"
  18. Oh yeah? What year was he an All Pro? Hint. He wasn't. Ever. He was a pro bowler, but so was Mac Jones. And he still needs to know what routes to run and gain Allen's trust. Yes, he needs reps.
  19. Lots deserve it. I'm making sure McDermott gets one. That wasn't an easy call to kick the FG...but it likely won us the game.
  20. But yet he's also the least experienced WR we have in this offense and having reps with Josh Allen. Samuel appears to be healthy and have moved past him on the depth chart. Cooper also has a lot of the same skillet as Coleman .
  21. He was on KP duty. Making the PB&Js for halftime and post game
  22. First time watching Josh Allen Experience? I'm shocked he didn't find a way to pitch it out there.
  23. Nope. Probably Jackson. I really question if Hyde is healthy enough for contact.
