Pick up? Sure. And they did just that in the 4th. Played their best when it matters most. They even had a few really nice long drives to keep the defense less exposed and off the field. Left the field with a lead. You would think your HC who is also the DC with a long history of running a defense would be able to scheme around talent and help out, no?

Remember the 2021 season: Concern vs Panic
BuffaloBillyG replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
While I didn't think saying I hadn't read your opinions so I couldn't comment would hurt and confuse you so much so I didn't know if you had your head in the sand, the fact that you cannot use big boy words and communicate and instead have to respond by nothing more than an outdated and overplayed GIF tells me exactly where your head is buried. And it ain't in the sand, sweetheart. -
I'm with you here. If I'm going to see someone make rookie mistakes, I'd rather see it from a rookie. At least there's room to learn then.

Remember the 2021 season: Concern vs Panic

I can't say if I'd apply that to you or not as I haven't really looked at what you have said. So without knowing I won't comment. -
Even taking his coach speak at face value is a bad look. He's not a rookie coach. He's at the helm of a team that is playoff experienced, Super Bowl hopeful on a yearly basis. Last week there was a quote relayed by the telecast by Daboll. Pretty much said "Well, when something's wrong with the team the coaching staff gets paid to fix those problems." If after all these years the team is regressing and he doesn't have the answers...he becomes they answer to what is wrong.

Taron Johnson had, quite possibly the worst game of his NFL career. While he did still make a couple plays against the run he was on coverage for 2 Patriots TD passes and was out of position badly. Plenty bof blame for BOTH SIDES today. Defense wise, they gave up a fast start (yes the INT didn't help). They allowed Jones to complete 25 of 30 passes and drive the field at the end for the win. Taron Johnson gave up 2 TDs. Constantly let WRs roam free. Poor tackling. In total gave up 29 points to a team that hasn't scored a TD since MC Hammer was a "thing" (at least it seems that long.)

Where was our defensive line today?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know where they were. Phillips was waving his arms at the crowd. Poona was unaware he was supposed to play DT as he was constantly driven back into the secondary. Maybe he thought he was the new "Big Nickel"? Settle spent a LOT of time on the ground....I think he was inspecting the turf to see if it was the same stuff they played on in London. No one bothered to tell Vickers he was activated and he watched from the stands. -
Donuts, Doritos? I can think of another word that starts with D you should add to your name for this post.

Well, for those that are inclined...firing McDermott likely means a new OC next year as well. Not that is what I'm saying I would pick, but it's the value pick 2 for 1 I suppose.

The Bills are Going to Miss the Playoffs
BuffaloBillyG replied to DapperCam's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would say definitely the Bengals but also possible the Chargers are favored. Even best case scenario, I'm struggling to see 6 wins there to get to 10 unless something drastically different happens and soon. -
Here's what ticks me off. Dodson was in for Dorian today and McDermott said in the Presser that he felt they gave up too many plays at the position so he benched the rookie. But we've seen YEARS of Knox and Davis dropping balls and giving away opportunity...neither has ever been benched. Accountability for some I suppose.

Watching the Chiefs game. Bills no where near them.
BuffaloBillyG replied to I'm Spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Chiefs? THE CHIEFS??? I'm just hoping we don't get dog walked at home on national TV against the Buccaneers on Thursday. -
The vibe of the team - they don't play loose anymore
BuffaloBillyG replied to HomeskillitMoorman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Business like. Remember the team we had back when we stomped Dallas on turkey day? That team had fun. They were playing lights out and enjoying the moment. Then the expectations started and the team stopped being loose, fun and playing free. -

Did the offense work back then? Did we have injuries to our best D players? Did Mac freaking Jones look like an all Pro against us? 2 weeks ago I would have been with ya. This is now 3 straight with 2 being against horrible teams and key starters out and we lay an egg. You say some are panicking. I say some are burying their head in the sand. -
Is the season beginning to unravel?
BuffaloBillyG replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Been pointed out already, but thanks -
This is a VERY thinly veiled Tremaine Edmunds thread, isn't it?

Ah right. Alcohol helped convert that in my head to an away game😂 -

4-3 at this point in the season and one of those wins being one we likely SHOULD have lost isn't....ideal. We still have: Away: Cincinnati Philadelphia Kansas City Miami Home against 2 teams we already lost to. Not to mention Dallas, Tampa The Chargers and playing the way we are I question is against the freaking Broncos at this point. Looking over the schedule, sure anything CAN happen...but if it takes 10 wins to get the WC....I'm not sure I see 6 more wins on there unless something drastically changes. -
This. I would see we are still about 4-5 games from seeing him really start to flash here and there. He'll make it back pretty far IMO.

I think we can add James Cook in the "good" category today. Shakir did well with what he was targeted for as well. Poyer had, I believe his best game of the season. Poona Ford. Is this guy really the best we can do? I think we could actually find someone on a practice squad somewhere to give us better snaps than this dude. He's worse than Settle...who actually made a play today. For all the talk of the Offensive struggles (and they are valid) there is absolutely NO WAY this Pays team should put up 29 points and get a GW drive on us.
