Or his phone is trying to subtilty hint Greg Roman should be back.

And so do agents. Players themselves mention some things as well. And no one said it was a "big deal", however I could make the argument that new faces popping up on the field could potentially be a big deal on gameday. It's at least a current event topic.
-
That is all good and well. But what you just said really contradicts what you said before that I bolded. "No one outside the organizations staff knows the inactives for tonight" So which is it? No one really knows anything and it drives you nuts when they act like they do...or information sometimes gets sent out and in that cases people know what they are talking about?
-
So, what happens when the lists come out...and they were right? Those would be 2 really lucky arse guesses to pull out of thin air.
-
We'll have to see. If reports are right and it is Isabella getting the call up...the surprise may be the corresponding inactive. Maybe Harty? That would surprise some based on his contract I suppose.
-
Well, of course he's a thing. Roman Reigns is the Tribal Chief.😂😂

Looking more and more like @HappyDayshad the info correct! Thanks again for passing it along yesterday, Happy.

Honestly, if anyone is going from starter to inactive in one week it's likely Dorian Williams IMO. Not predicting it, but based on the fact that rookies find the dog house much quicker than vets on this team it wouldn't shock me either. Quite possibly.

I have a feeling there will be a lot of discussion about inactive list here tonight....

Purdy in Concussion Protocol. Likely OUT this weekend.
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same could easily be said for field surface. Imagine Mahomes lost for the season with an ACL due to the turf. Changes would go in place ASAP. This Purdy situation also calls on a slightly more important issue to me. We are supposed to have people on the field watching for head shots and check for concussion. There have been a few times this year where guys finished out a game and then entered the concussion protocol on Monday or Tuesday. Jimmy G comes to mind and if I recall Kincaid was another. That's the real issue they should be looking into IMO. -

Well, my thought is that it's already against the rules to pull a player forward. I don't see a huge difference why a push should be allowed but a pull shouldn't. -

It does look like a QB sneak. There's also a guy that runs in late looking like he's going to give a shove. There was bad execution all around it seems. The problem I see is in the preparation. I don't think teams practice the play near as much as Philly and timing is not the same. Heck just a few weeks ago Daboll said they ran it in a game and never really practiced it. Just a walkthrough. Result was a failed conversion and 2 players from the Giants injured on the play. Schmidtz has been out 3 weeks now. And agree. The Vikings defender wasn't taking a cheap shot. He's trying to make a play. Can't blame him. But, there is I believe some train of thought that the league can still point to a play like this and say "See, unsafe. Exposes the head." If they choose to act on it. -
I agree, he could have much the same impact as a young Kamara or Ekler (not agreeing to CMC because that dude is just a unicorn😂). If it were me, of course over the course of a game I'd feed Cook what we need to get a W. But I'd try and limit his touches until late in the year. One thing Kamara, Ekler and CMC all have in common: Either missed games or played through a ton of injury year in and year out. All three of those guys get overused to the point of being unavailable or seriously hampered year in and year out. That's what I'd want to try and avoid with Cook.
-
I agree, he has looked outstanding with the ball in his hands. He has the ability to break something off long everytime he touches it. I do think, however that 16 touches is right about where he should be. I just don't believe he's built for every down work. He reminds me (production wise) of Tony Pollard in Dallas. Pollard an EXCELLENT 1B. But as the main guy his overall production isn't quite as explosive. He also is an almost straight up liability when it comes to pass blocking and blitz pickup which is exactly why we see Murray get the snaps he does. Cook is improving overall though and I think he can continue to grow. I would, however like to see him more split out wide or in the slot more. Or as part of a 2 RB backfield with Murray where you can motion Cook out and create some mismatch.

Agreed. And what makes it worse is the Titans picked the December Texans game as the 2nd game they will wear them this year. What a dick move. https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/nfl/titans/2023/07/27/houston-oilers-throwback-uniforms-tennessee-titans-texans-falcons/70476147007/#:~:text=The Tennessee Titans will wear,17.

No surprise on Baker or Godwin. But if by chance Vea is out...that would be HUGE for us.

For me it's as simple as this. If the Alien, the Freak From Firebaugh, the real live human hybrid of a Buffalo and a Golden Retriever; Josh Freaking Allen shows up tonight...Bills win easily. If we get Mr. Zen, Low Positive, Great Value brand Aaron Rodgers sounding Josh Allen....we lose. Someone make the wing sauce he puts in his Pepsi extra spicy tonight please....

Beane reportedly looking for LB help (possible rumor)
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes I believe I misspoke. It was two of the three games he saw extensive action...not two in a row. -

Williams came in for Milano in London...but was replaced by Dodson. Williams was also replaced by Dodson last game against the Pats. McDermott talked about it this week in his presser. And when asked did not confirm Williams would be starting this week. -
Should the Bills go no-huddle Thursday?
BuffaloBillyG replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
There can be difference between a "no huddle" and "up tempo". I've never been a fan of a true fast pace 2 minute style no huddle except at the end of half or game. When it works it can be nice and confuse a defense. Wear them down. When you have a few drives in a row when you don't move the ball it really leaves your defense in a bad spot. And right now we don't have the depth pieces to absorb that. I like a more fast paced tempo where plays are called at the line; not a huddle. Much like Peyton Manning used to do. Difference being instead of rushing the snap...still take your time at the line. Lets the QB see what the defense is doing and still doesn't allow for them to sub in...and if they do you can often quick snap and catch with too many men on the field. -
Purdy in Concussion Protocol. Likely OUT this weekend.
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly. Now, I could see them making a case that the shove from behind could contort or throw someone off balance leading to potential injury. But if the ban it from the QB sneak play they have to enforce it on all plays IMO. The thing most people don't realize is that at least with the Eagles, the shove isn't what's propelling Hurts. Dude is legit strong and grinding. I see some teams run it where the QB is just a battering ram. Not really that smart haha -

Actually, the Panthers have done this a few times this year. They have pulled Bryce Young and let Andy Freaking Dalton come in for the QB sneak a few times. Rumor has it that they view Young as too small and not powerful enough to execute the play himself 😂
