  1. I'm just here to time how long it takes when someone mentions Gabe Davis's name until @HappyDaysshows up out of nowhere to remind us all that Gabe sucks. The longest wait is currently 3 minutes 27 seconds FWIW. 🤣😂🤣😂
  2. Doyle did really well in that "6th OL/Big TE" role 2 seasons ago. And who can forget playing in the Dolphins game with a torn ACL last year. Dude is a tough "team first" guy. Gotta respect that. Don't know if he makes the 53, but if not I'm hoping we can get him back on PS. He's the kind of guy you want to keep around.
  3. With the way it's being reported that Tre White has looked in camp, a restructure or even small extension for him wouldn't shock me either.
  4. I really don't think the overrun had much to do with it. Be it $500M or whatever it runs it's not actually coming out of Terry's pocket. The money he has to front will be reflected in the final prices for tickets, PSLs, concession and souvenir items. In the end WE are the ones that will be reimbursing those funds.
  5. And Metcalf would look amazing catching passes from Josh.....Rosen.
  6. And this is why we can't put too much stock into tweets from those in attendance. This is just an example of 2 tweets that set everyone off in totally different directions. Seems to be happening more this year than any I can remember.
  7. Maybe it's just blind fandom...but I forecast James Cook making the NFL top 100 list next year if healthy.
  8. Rumor inside the stadium is that Jordan Phillips is so hungry he sprinted all the way to the buffet line. Pulled hammy.
  9. Well, moving up for Kincaid pretty much meant Beane wasn't moving up on day 2. Can't place the blame there. We walked out of the 1st 2 rounds potentially filling other big holes as well. As far as picking him in Rd2, 32 out of 32 NFL GMs decided that would have been too rich.
  10. I can see that. Of course Simpson was picked 5 spots ahead of Williams and wasn't on the board at the time. Also, when it comes to Baltimore they have had their share of misfires on front 7 picks as well. So time will definitely tell the story, but I can appreciate and respect you having a firm name. He will definitely be worth keeping an eye on.
  11. Thanks for your well thought out input. You really make some excellent points here. I may need to rethink my whole stance on the issue now.
  12. It very well could. Flip side...Denver may just be juiced going against Hackett and want to prove he was the issue last year.
  13. It may be even worse than that. Check out their early schedule. Vs. Bills @ Dallas Vs Pats Vs KC @ Den Vs Philly Now I will say it seems the schedule makers did them a slight favor. 3 of their hardest games at home in the beginning of the season. I see them beating Denver. I see the Pats game as a toss up. Then Buffalo, Dallas, Philly and KC are all games that they may struggle. 2-4 or even 1-5 after 6 weeks is not out of the realm of possibility....and boy that NY media will make it even more insufferable for them.
  14. I'm rooting for a bad pass to clock either Watson or Rodgers upside the head...a total Thad Brown.
  15. I knew it was either this season or next were his last under contract. Point remains. If we lose him to injury or other unforseen instances...perhaps we see more true 4-3 looks. Either way it's good to have options There are a lot of ways he sees some viable snaps this season. Yes, special teams will get him some. But I can see a path to him being on the field in certain groupings as well.
  16. Josh's off season has been wild. Broke up with Brit and Dawson. Rebounded with Hailee and Dalton. This dude upgrades like no other.
  17. Of course, that's providing there isn't a shift on defensive philosophy this or next year as well. Taron Johnson is (I believe) a FA next year. I could see a scenario where the Bills aren't able to resign him and he walks. If that happens do they stay a 4-2 team? Chances are McDermott will either continue to call defense next year, but if they do bring someone in...what will they want to run? We already have reason to believe the defense mindset and play style will adapt without Edmunds in there. What does life look like without Johnson in there due to moving on...or even injury this year? It's always nice to have pieces in place before you need them.
  18. Didn't see the presser so not sure of the context...but I'm taking it he'll be weirdly sick and unable to go to work...because he'll be at the Swift concert. Perhaps even trying to get her to try Room 40.
  19. I don't hate it. It would bring some excitement back to the kickoff and do so in a safer manner. It's better than the stuff we get now. Kickoff. Touchback. On the rare occasion ball is returned... penalty. The shorter run up would likely reduce penalty flags thrown as well. Problem I have seeing it implemented is two fold. First, this comes from Florio and I personally don't take anything he says at face value. Wouldn't shock me if this isn't even being discussed. Second, it would require the NFL to acknowledge that the XFL had a smarter idea. I don't see them doing that. They will come up with something based off this idea with a few tweeks that make it worse. IMO.
  20. I'm no OL expert but I can say this. Beane has said in the past that they view Bates as someone that could "get you out of a game at RT of needed". Not a ringing endorsement for a long term stint, however he could be used if needed in a pinch. I view it kind of like Hyde being the emergency QB. I do know I have read some say his arms are a bit short to hold down the position. With the shorter arms and not really any elite traits to make up for it he would likely struggle to keep engaged on the guy he's tasked to block.
  21. This is what worried me about Brown more than if he would take a step forward or not. Back problems for guys that big are often reoccurring. Hopefully, Shell or Doyle can step in if Brown misses time...but Spencer being healthy and taking steps forward is the hope.
  22. You know, guys. I'm starting to think this Kincaid kid may make the roster.
  23. With it sounding like Tre is back to being a force at CB1, I have no issues with Dane starting the season at CB2 as long as he WINS it as opposed to Elam LOSING it.
  24. I think Shane Ray is making a path to make this final 53. Can't wait to see him play some preseason snaps. I think we may have stumbled onto a player that is hungry with a lot to prove...and being here with his friend Von is going to help as well.
  25. "Take one for the sake of taking one" is what brings you guys like Jack Anderson. Tommy Doyle. Even a Spencer Brown. So no, I wouldn't feel better with just some random prospect that may have been taken way too high from where the team had them graded just to get one. You also do realize that there is football next year too right? That maybe the Bills see longer term potential in a guy like Williams. Perhaps he isn't ready to be the MLB today...but next year could be an entirely different story. Giving the kid a year to learn and get experience on ST, maybe a few snaps on defense here and there is a solid strategy when you want to develop talent.
