AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
And today the die has been cast. So all falls on tomorrow, which is what I'm saying. Taron may want to play and may play with a harness, he just may not be to that point. If he can't harness it and practice there's not a huge chance he plays IMO. He's a gamer though, if he can be out there he will -

Taron going from full to limited and Benford still being limited are a concern for me. All falls on tomorrow. -
This is what happens when you give everyone a trophy for participation. Censorship? Get real. And what exactly is "asshamed?"

Hamlin comeback player nomination
BuffaloBillyG replied to Riverboat Ritchie's topic in The Stadium Wall
And yet voters will still vote the way they want to. The fact that he's even nominated with these new rules should tell you something. -
Egads, you're right. Let's just tank to the Chiefs. Let it be their problem.

Honestly, even though he folded at the end of the year Sam Darnold should get the award IMO. -
Legitimate Concern With Officiating This Weekend?
BuffaloBillyG replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Uhhhhh..he proved that last year after the Kelce no play. And he gets very whiny and upset when things don't go his way. It's very possible to get in his head. -
I wouldn't say I'm confident. But I would say the possibility is higher than it's been in 30+ years. KC may not be what they once were, but KC in the playoffs in Arrowhead is no simple task. And in likely hood if we win it sets up a Super Bowl match with the Eagles and Barkley. That's another daunting task with this run defense. I will also say that no matter what happens Sunday and possibly in the Bowl, I'm happy with how this "rebuilding year" turned out. This team turned out light years better than the team that played at Arrowhead for the AFC Championship a few years ago. I hope we don't miss the opportunity, as we never truly know when the next will come.

Legitimate Concern With Officiating This Weekend?
BuffaloBillyG replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
I absolutely love that this has been a talking point during the week on the shows and articles. This will be the week that the refs have to reel it in. They cannot afford to give KC easy first downs on ticky tack penalties. They know they are under the microscope so to speak. Now I'm not saying they will go into the game with any direction not to throw flags or with that goal in mind. But it's human nature to be on your best behavior when you know you're being watched. On the flip side of I'm coaching the Bills defense, I make darn sure they realize they will possibly be flagged for hitting Mahomes....so if you are going to make contact....make it worth the 15 yards. I'm not saying set out to injure. But give him a physical shot. Bumps bruises. Our defense is going to likely get sliced a bit. So I'll trade a 15 yard penalty and getting a shot on Mahomes over a 15 yard pass that has the opportunity to turn into something more. We know he's soft mentally. Hit him hard a few times and make him see ghosts. Make any penalties worth it. -
Saints hoping for a Chiefs-Commanders Super Bowl, apparently.

AFCCG, Bills v. Chefs, PREDICT THE SCORE!
BuffaloBillyG replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
As I said in the game week thread I think the Bills have a good chance to not only win, but win by double digits. However, in the prediction thread I have been picking against the Bills and they have been winning. So I understand the assignment. Chiefs 27 Bills 23- 129 replies

Raiders hire TB Asst GM John Spytek as new GM
BuffaloBillyG replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
With how their QBs are now...no. But teams have plans and maybe the Raiders have one at QB that suits Brady. However, I'm not sure he's even been interviewed by Vegas Remember, this interview process is just as much the coaches interviewing the teams as it is the teams interviewing the coaches these days. -

I hope Joe Brady dated his daughter at sometime in the past and it ended terribly. -
It's the AFC Championship Game. They will go if even remotely physically able. My hunch is Milano and Benford play, Rapp is out. Now will Milano make it through the game is my real question.

Pin the Head Coach on the Donkey....
BuffaloBillyG replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you got McCarthy and Brady flipped. Vegas seems to be a wild card right now. They aren't super active it seems, which may end up being because their top target remaining is still unavailable, which could be Spags, Kingsbury (who does have Tom Brady ties), Joe Brady, or even Matt Nagy. Moore is such a Dallas hire. Jason Garrett part 2. -
McCarthy to NOLA is a good bet unless the Jets let Glenn get away. Saleh to Jacksonville is possible tho. I think Saleh gets another HC job either this year or next year. Yeah, and it may all come down to what happens Sunday. If the Bills lose and Brady is available Monday, I think they pounce. If they would have to wait another 2 weeks to hire Brady because the Bills are in the SB, It may sway the decision to Saleh.

To be fair, Meyer killed his own career in Jacksonville. He was a Marrone level jackass that went didn't even know the names of some of the superstar players he was coaching against, went out club ing after a loss and would kick his players. He lost that team quickly

Every argument here you make could easily be made about McDermott, Allen and the Bills. Sure he's beaten Lamar in the playoffs, but you basically disregard him as second rather. Who else has he beaten? The corpse of Phillip Rivera? Skylar Thompson? Mason Rudolph? He's 0-5 against Mahomes and Burrow in the playoffs. Guess Allen isn't clutch either, right? Yes, you are entitled to have an opinion. But to ignore Lamar's development over the years screams that your opinion is to stick by your predraft narrative of him and my opinion (which I'm just as entitled to have) is that it's a misguided and stubborn opinion. Lamar is a heck of a football player.

They already have. Next step would likely be an in person meeting where pen would likely meet paper. And yes, it would only happen when the Bills season ends.

Nope If the Jags are looking for a young offensive mind to help resurrect Lawrence, then I can see Brady being in a short list. After all the talk of Allen being a turnover machine this time last year, look at him now. Brady has done well to help limit opportunity for Josh to turn the ball over while still having an offense that scores points. And if I'm Brady, I seriously consider this job as long as I feel like Lawrence is coachable. They have weapons in the passing game. They have ETN that's has they same capabilities as a James Cook. An amazing rookie WR. The only real thing I'm nervous about is I'm Brady is Baalke as my GM, however there were reports that Khan may be ok with firing him if the right GM/coach combo became available. Could this be a spot for Terrence Grey to join Brady? So sure we lose Brady which sucks, but we would get 2 3rds for Grey which would soften the blow. I could also see the Jags going Kellen Moore for the same reasons as they would go Brady.
