  1. Pretty much this...
  2. It's possible. It's also becoming an issue that Allen and Davis aren't on the same page. The "intentional grounding" call is an example. There have been a few plays this year that Davis hasn't gone where Allen expected him to on the option routes. He's not seeing the play the same as Allen and makes him a risk.
  3. I have 2 teenagers. A boy and a girl. The boy is no exaggerating a genius. The girl is closer to typical for the age. He doesn't crack a book at night. Doesn't study. Still gets almost straight As. She is up in her room every night just killing it. Studies 4-6 hours a night. Takes on extra assignments. She is a B student. Guess which effort I am prouder of? Point being, imagine with all his physical gifts and one of a kind ability if Allen put in the work of a Burrow. Imagine if Allen applied himself like that what we would see. Imagine the results bon the field. That's the frustrating part for me. He's great...but he could be so much more.
  4. I think it's got something to do with it. Think the foot issue is kind of put him in no man's land. It's not bad enough to miss time but not healed enough to let him get off the line fast. He's still doing well against the run game to my eye.
  5. They decided that Ken Dorsey won the Halloween costume contest for his Dwight Schrute costume. It was supposed to be a Dahmer costume but Ken couldn't pull it off.
  6. Leonard Fournette has entered the chat😂
  7. I'm wondering if the one that the board went nuts on was the tripping that they hit Kincaid with that he came up limping from. I know the board had a lot to say about that one...but don't remember anything about Hendrickson. Hard to keep up with all the dirty plays the Bengals try.
  8. I blame Tremaine Edmunds. He has been a ghost all year.
  9. Follow up: "Sean, what other styles of offense did you want to move to?" "Inept. Um. Complimentary. Look, we saw some of the Bengals defense get upset after our first TD so we helped them be the best version of themselves. We embrace growth mindset for all. Sure, there's some plays I'd love to have back but I have confidence in Ken. " *Clap clap clap*
  10. If they win tonight, they are still closer to the division lead than the Bills, period.
  11. Maybe you haven't seen the Jets win/loss record, the fact they currently have a head to head win over us or OUR offense. Oh look, maybe I did have a few crayons after all.
  12. I don't think Harty has the speed that we thought he had. They said he looked fast inTC, but in retrospect that could have been him running against Hyde or Poyer. Shakir seems to play quicker on the field.
  13. As it sits right this second the Jets are in second place in the AFCE and the Bills are in 3rd. If you need to have it explained to you why you should root for the Chargers tonight I don't have the time or crayons to explain it to you.
  14. And Jim never has a second cup of coffee at home.
  15. Contrary to popular belief, the Bills could really open a lot of Salary next year. Yes, they are deep in the red right now for next year. But I expect to see several cap casualties in the off season no matter how this year plays out. Nyheim Hines would save about 5M. Morse is possibly in his last year here. That 8M-ish. I believe Rasul Douglas will get re-signed if he shows well and that may lower his cap. Then you have the "usual moves". Restructure Allen for 25M-ish. And there are others. And just mentioning (NOT ADVOCATING FOR THE MOVE) a post June 1st trade of Stefon Diggs leaves nearly 9M in dead cap...but also clears 19M in space and the expected FA WR class looks stacked at the moment. I think we need a nice re-tool. Lots of directions for Beane to go.
  16. I am so tired of hearing the narrative..."But in 2021....".
  17. This is the 4th time in 9 weeks people are told to "get a grip". We have already lost more games this year than last year and STILL have road games against both Super Bowl participants from last year (who are still winning a lot this year) and against Miami who, despite not beating a team with a winning record is leading the division. Oh as it sits right now...we are behind the Jets as well. Whatever grip there is is slipping FAST.
  18. This. This right here. Here's what's been driving me crazy. We have a defensive minded HC, right? He makes darn good money because he was proficient at running a defense. But it seems like his defense can't work unless it's filled with Pro Bowl or All Pro level talent. In our game against the Patriots...they were missing Judon and Uche. Still got really nice pressure all game. Why? They schemed around it. It happens every week. Look at the Bengals. Sorry, but they have NO WHERE near the talent on defense that the Bills do. They are still stopping teams. Why? Scheme and gameplan. I get it, we lost 3 VERY good players on defense. But a talented defensive mind should have the ability to make up for that. Instead we had to use what little cap space we had to replace White and Jones because McDermott can't figure out how to adapt his defense to what he has in hand. Who knows, perhaps maybe if he could have figured out how to get Elam on the field we wouldn't have had to make the move for a CB and could have spent that money (and draft capital) on a WR or another weapon to help an offense that can't seem to function.
  19. There are a lot of things that factor into being an elite QB. One of which (and maybe the most important) is the COMMITMENT to being elite. I panned people last off season for making too much of Josh's schedule after the season ended. Be it making 100 commercials, vacations, celebrity golf tournaments, public appearances with the celebrity new girlfriend...we sure saw a LOT of Josh. You know what I don't remember seeing? The yearly photos and videos of him working with Jordan Palmer. Any workouts being hosted by our QB with the receivers. You know, football stuff. I'm starting to feel there's something to all that. Flip the script, and look at Burrow. Never left town after the Bengals playoff loss. Didn't go on vacation, as a matter of fact was in the facility the next day. Worked all off season. Doesn't spend his time in front of cameras selling Pepsi. And as a young QB, already in one Super Bowl and baby faced looks...you KNOW companies would kill to have him as a spokesperson. Now I don't begrudge Allen for any of his choices. It's his life, you only get one and you should do what you want. But don't be shocked when those that put in the work supersede you. They earned it.
  20. One trend I have seen over the last couple of years is this. Game starts off like normal. Buffalo falls behind a bit. Josh presses and turns the ball over. Then we get Allen sitting on the bench with that 100 mile stare. We all know what kind of game it's going to be early just from Allen's expressions. To me, this is where coaching comes into play. Or more directly in our case...lack of coaching. To me, it feel like Allen knows that if we fall behind by two scores or so, we lack the coaching needed to make the changes to get back into it. Its game over. There is no confidence from the players IMO. Last time the Raiders fired a coach in season they dead cat bounced their way to the playoffs. And I think if the ref doesn't screw up and blow an untimely whistle in the middle of a play...they beat the Bengals in that game.
  21. I absolutely despise Vrabel. But, he does always seem to have his team ready to play, play hard and play above their skill level.
  22. I appreciate the job McDermott has done over the years for the Bills. After a parade of punchlines at the HC position we have had, Sean has provided professionalism and consistency for a long time. He is a good human being. Last year with all the turmoil off the field and behind the scenes he did a phenomenal job keeping it together and producing a lot of wins in what easily could have been a lost season. He deserves our appreciation for what he has given to this town and this team. That being said, there needs to be an overhaul on the staff this off-season. This team for too often looks just flat out unmotivated and unprepared. It feels like, to me, there is a disconnect between coaches and the players. They aren't on the same page. The message is being lost. New leadership really is needed. Someone who can light a fire. This roster and especially the offense has far too much talent to lose to teams like the Patriots and a Rodgers less Jets team. Sean McDermott is a good football coach. But you should never let being good get in the way of being great.
  23. Yeah, people aren't going to buy it mainly because of the 70 they gave up to Miami... But the Broncos are playing really solid football right now. While Wilson isn't what he was, he's been playing his ass off. It's going to be a tight game.
  24. Nope. Nah. Negative. And Ken Dorsey's key card for the facility would be turned off.
  25. At this point he's taking snaps away from guys that can make a play.
