  1. Just want to say, looks like Hamlin is just as physical as he's always been. Great to see. Almost had a sack there too
  2. Kyle Allen staring down a blanketed WR made me flash back to the EJ Manual era.
  3. Likely, yes. If the 1st series means anything though (which very well may not) he looks to have a role in the slot. With a QB like Richardson, he could be productive through volume.
  4. Sherfield with an excellent block on the TD run.
  5. In an interview that just aired on the pregame, Dorian Williams just said Wingnutz is his go to wing place. This makes me question everything about him. Cut him. Cut him now.
  6. His attempts to be a Tina Turner impersonator have come up a bit short.
  7. Nothing personal against Love, seems like a good kid. But I'm tired of seeing Green Bay with franchise QB after franchise QB.iys their time to suffer a bit😂😂
  8. You would be surprised. Bad OL play is a problem around the league. Bothe Russell Bodine and Marshall Newhouse were trades for picks..all be it very late round 2 drafts down the road. But it is plausible. I can also see a team trading a guy the know won't make their team in a player for player deal for an OL we know won't make our. Sometimes you see that kind of trade the week before the last preseason game so teams can basically get a quick look at a different player.
  9. He is, but can also see them giving him a quarter or less and Barkley play the rest in the last one. Can't recall Keenum's snap count in PS game 3 last year but just off memory the Bills seem to play their 3rd QB a lot in the final one
  10. Yeah, if I'm betting I would guess we see him for a series or 2 against the Steelers in the 2md preseason game. Then the last game will be the Matt Barkley show lol
  11. It's definitely a risk, however sometimes you trade an Eli Harold and wind up with Ryan Bates. Or trade a Kelvin Sheppard and come away with a Jerry Hughes.
  12. I project that he will get a lot of hype because of his Fantasy Football value, but I don't think it will translate to on the field success. At least not this season.
  13. Well, can never be too sure how things would have played out but I think Dodson was ahead already in the competition. My personal feeling is that they "hoped" Bernard or Spector would have taken the job away...but Dodson was the safe bet to at least start the season at MLB due to his familiarity. If Bernard is missing a good length of time my only question is: Does Spector do anything to put himself back in the conversation?
  14. "We won't be able to afford him next year if he breaks out" Yes, we will. Just taking a shallow look on OTC shows the Bills will have the ability to create almost $75M in cap available through restructures. Subtract the $25M it shows we are already in the red and that's $50M. Now, I'm not advocating that they should do ALL the restructures available...nor will they. But that's what's there. Add in that there are also some salary cap casualties (Hines at 5M for instance) next year and yes, Davis is affordable. "Just let him walk and take the comp pick" I am team comp pick in most situations. But for Davis at this time it doesn't make sense to me. I place his value in the same category as MVS and Allen Lazard. Lazard just signed with the Jets at 4/44M. That sounds about right for Davis prior to this season. (though SPOTRAC has his value slightly higher at 12.4M estimation) As it sits right now that Lazard contract is projected to net the Packers a 5th round comp pick. Now, granted if he stays healthy and some other team thinks he's a #1 type guy and throws Christian Kirk type money at him (4/72M resulting in 3rd round comp pick) then that changes the equation. Let the season play out Right now Davis is, at least to me, a playmaker. What he isn't is consistent. Be it due to injury or drops...he still has to show some semblance of being a consistent playmaker. Yes he has the potential for a great game every week (see Steelers last year). He also has the potential to disappear. IF I'm not mistaken, Davis's contract put him as the 70th highest paid WR this year. That's great value for the Bills. It takes 2 to make a thing go right Easy for fans to sit back and say "git er done"..but the reality is the deal has to make sense for both sides. Sometimes guys wait and bet on themselves (Edmunds may be an example) others they take what is perceived as slightly less to get financial security sooner (Oliver may be an example). In any event, Beane expressed desire early in the off-season to extend 2 guys. Oliver and Davis. One is done. On the other hand, Davis's comments didn't seem like he was in a rush. Those can be found in the article below. https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2023/07/buffalo-bills-receiver-reveals-mothers-message-ahead-of-contract-year.html Personal choice: I want Gabe to earn big bucks this year. If that money comes from Buffalo next year or another team...I don't mind either way. If Gabe earns himself a Kirk type contract that most likely means he had a huge year for Buffalo this year and that bodes very well for the Bills Super Bowl run this year.
  15. Cunningham almost decapitated...WOW
  16. I never thought I'd say this...but I miss Case Keenum. Hopefully Kyle Allen looks good Saturday 😂
  17. I kinda want to see how Keenum looks.
  18. Gotta see him stay reasonably healthy first. That's my biggest reservation. The only way I see it making sense is if it's a low guarantee deal that gives him incentives. However, I wouldn't think that would appeal to him...just my guess.
  19. Yes, it was a funny set of circumstances. Also, later in this thread I actually found and posted the article that talks about his charges being dropped.
  20. Ok then. The simple fact that this tweet in question was interpreted differently by you and I as well as a third different take from another poster and oh hey, there even was someone else with questions about the clarity on that Tweet (see below) really confirm my opinion that perhaps greater context was needed. I made one statement about the tweet and then responded to people that said something in response to me. I'm sorry, is that something odd to do on a message board? I actually even in one of them (that you quoted yourself) acknowledged that someone else's interpretation was very plausible as well. I'm always open to changing my outlook when further perspective is offered. I've also made it a POINT to say in just about every response that I like Ajay. You can even look back for verification on that. He's done...for the most part...an excellent job. Heaven forbid someone point out that perhaps some further detail would be nice in as you described it "one single Tweet". Make you a deal. I'll "check myself" when you "get over yourself". And with that, I'm done.
  21. I actually like what Houston has done this off season. Starting off by bringing in Robert Woods. Yes, he's aging and declining in skills, however he brings some leadership and experience. Both good for a rookie QB to lean on. They also have Nico Collins and Metchie at WR...young guys that can grow with him. Signed Dalton Shultz at TE. Big target there. They brought in Singletary to compliment Pierce and have the ability to have a deep run game to help take pressure off. Not to mention bringing in Case Keenum who is a long term vet QB to help him in the QB room. Houston is actually my sleeper pick to be the team that comes out of basically nowhere to make a Wild Card run this year.
