The thing I do like about the Williams pick and the way he looks is this. Having him offers the opportunity for the Bills to present different defensive looks in certain game situations and weather conditions. I am a fan of Taron Johnson, and yes he does show well against the run as much as the pass. However, we do play in Western NY and weather can be a factor especially late in the season. Having the horses to have a true 4-3 look in those circumstances and go a bit heavier can only help. Also as we saw last year for sure, injuries will factor in. Williams (along with Rapp) give us coverage to still run many looks if we lose guys. The ability for variety is a huge plus.

If they want a 2 headed monster of a run game instead of Rodgers to Wilson all day....I'm really ok with that approach for them.

Absolutely. Yes, they are ugly as all can be. But if it's proven to reduce the chance for injury...well I'd rather see guys able to play. I read a lot on other teams TCs as well (retired life affords time). And now that I'm thinking about it I have seen next to nothing on guys getting concussions in TC this year. Not sure if that's the normal.

Not sure about that, but I saw the padding they put on helmets during TC. Pretty standard for all teams now. Wondering if they do that to prevent head injury during camp if that's something they will try and incorporate down the road for games.

Zeke is better at pass pro as well IMO. May see him in obvious pass sets and goal line a bit. But for the most part, agree. Stevenson is the guy.

Elliot still has some value on the field. If he's not the centerpiece and has reduced carries he can be productive. Still has a nose for the end zone. But yes, Stevenson is really good and should still be the focal point of their run game.

Yea, definitely a case of seeing how it plays out and not passing judgement on anyone too soon. But man, this is why we can't have nice things in today's world.

Article in the Tweet is actually pretty shocking. If true, Oher claims they never adopted him and tricked him into signing away his name and likeness. Claims he received NOTHING over the movie while they pocketed millions.

I can see that as well. However being that he isn't "there" yet doesn't mean he's not working on it. And really in life that's all we as humans can do. Be a bit better version of ourselves than we were yesterday. Or at least, make the attempt to.

Late to the party. Just finished watching it. First off, these Untold stories on Netflix are really good. Some observations: - I am not versed enough about the mental health aspects to wager an opinion about how they contributed. However, things came at him too fast after his freshman season. The game, money, celebrity status. He went from structure in high school to complete unchecked freedom. - Stiking to me how much he reminds me of a young Liev Schreiber, both in looks and speaking pattern. Has nothing to do with anything...just an observation. - While they did have his former agent and "Uncle Nate" on, I found it striking that there were no former teammates speaking on his behalf, especially about what they saw from him his freshman year. - I know it's a small sample and heavily edited...but I really don't like how his parents came off. From this short documentary it really seems like his sister is the only person in his life that didn't view him as a cash cow. - He was never set up fundamentally, emotionally or any other way to have a long successful NFL career...but could he have landed in any worse situation than the Cleveland Browns? Pettine was hired to coach because no one else wanted that job. Then you take the flash and glamour that Johnny had and stick him in Cleveland freaking Ohio...on a team that has the most drab uniform, stadium and fan base in the NFL for one of the worst owners in sports. No wonder why he wanted no part of football after that. - While it may not be the tone some would have liked...in his way I thought he showed a lot of personal growth from where he was when he was a player. Seemed very humbled for the most part. - It was fun remembering that 2 of the 3 finalists for the Heisman the year he won were him and Manti Te'o...who both now have their own Untold episode (highly recommend the Te'o one of you haven't seen.) Agree, Bridgewater may have been the best of the above. However I didn't like what I saw of him last season, either. Could be he was just a bad fit in the Dolphin offense . Really feels like the Bills best option at an upgrade at this point if they feel they need one is a trade.

Rooting for this guy. One tough SOB. Has the attitude to play OL in the NFL for sure.

Einhorn is Finkle!!! FINKLE IS EINHORN!!!! But seriously, the potential of James Cook breaking out is what had me content with not going after any of the flashy names. And for all the fantasy players out there....his ADP has been around 70 in most of the leagues I have drafted in already. He's going to win some people big money this year. In the real world...just the threat of a competent run game that has the ability for a touchdown on any play should give defenses another wrinkle to worry about.

Nowhere there did I say he did? Most teams play their 3rd QB and roster fringe guys for the bulk of PS game 3 (formerly the 4th) because they don't want to lose their primary backup QB that close to the season as well. Now onto your point, you do also realize Barkley was surrounded by 3rd stringers as well, right? If you couldn't see that he had more confidence and ability in the system than Allen did, I don't know what to tell you. Also, it's more than just a PS game. Allen has (from camp reports) been making simple mental mistakes all off season. Things as easy and as currently as the Red and Blue scrimmage...he had trouble handling a snap. He's playing his way out of QB2 on his own.

The last Bobby Babich press conference I saw he talked directly about that. If I'm not mistaken he even mentioned needing guys with speed and play aggressive with plus athletic make up to combat the way modern NFL offenses operate, so I believe you are spot on here. Also found it interesting in the same interview he mentioned that the Bills do actually have a height/weight baseline that they look for and that Williams and Bernard exceeded that.

This maybe something to tuck away in the back of your mind...and it may be nothing at all. Perhaps the new QB is just someone to look at for a PS spot. However it may also indicate that the Texans are open to moving Keenum or Davis Mills. My guess would be Mills as this would keep a seasoned vet in the QB room and not have a guy like Mills breathing down the rookies neck. Depending on if he's available and what the price is, Mills could win a game or two if needed behind this roster IMO.

This is extremely accurate. Allen is not only very intelligent, but his drive and desire to get better, understand his flaws and improve them and competitive nature are almost unmatched. Combined with the physical tools he has is what makes Allen next level. Does Richardson (or Lance or Fields for that matter) possess that mindset? Do they have that drive to be better? Not sure, but I've been watching football long enough to know the physical tools combined with mental capacity and determination Allen shows is extremely rare.
