  1. Now that's not going to help Leslie get a HC job next year....
  2. Weird. Opened for me. Maybe this one's better. https://www.si.com/nfl/seahawks/news/seattle-seahawks-russell-wilson-personal-team-booted-out-new-denver-broncos-coach-sean-payton "That's foreign to me," new coach Sean Payton said in his first meeting this week with the Denver media. "That's not going to take place here. I'm not familiar with it, but our staff will be here. Our players will be here. "And that'll be it."
  3. I know there was some hubbub when Payton first got to Denver. At the very least he said that Russ's people wouldn't be allowed in. Not that it could have been "new coach lip service" and of course there is nothing saying Wilson can't meet with his own people on his own time....but at least in the building it appears that Webb is the guy in charge of the room. And it doesn't appear Payton wants to be hand in hand with Wilson's team. Of course all that is subject to change even if you take these statements at face value.
  4. I see a 60/30/10 percent share between Cook, Harris and Murray. Injury could alter that, of course. So could if the Bills end up playing a lot of bad weather games. I think Cook dominates touches on a fast track with Harris and Murray contributing more in the snow or rain type games we keep finding ourselves in. But I believe Cook will make it really hard to take him off the field. He showed some improvement in pass pro in the preseason and if that carries over he will be as close to a 3 down back as we have seen here since Shady.
  5. I have the Bills at 11-6. I truly believe this team is better than last years. As a matter of fact, by the end of this season I think this team will prove to be the most talented roster McDermott has had in his time here. If they get to the playoffs reasonably healthy I easily see a deep playoff run. AFCCG at minimum.
  6. AFC: Bills, Ravens, Jags, Chiefs AFC WC: Patriots, Bengals, Steelers AFC Championship Buffalo over Jacksonville NFC: Eagles, Lions, 49ers, Saints NFC WC: Cowboys, Packers, Seahawks NFC Championship 49ers over Lions Super Bowl: Buffalo 27 49ers 16 MVP: Trevor Lawrence OPY: Justin Jefferson DPY: Micah Parsons OROY: Gibbs, Det DROY: Carter, Philly Coach of the year: Dan Campbell First coach fired: Ron Rivera Caleb Williams heading to Arizona.
  7. There's a major difference in my opinion, between being flat out negative and having some constructive ideas. You can looks over some people's posting history and see the ones who just flat out bag every single signing, roster move, play of the players ect. Those are the ones I'm referring to. Those are the kind of users that we all know full well if the Bills DID win a Super Bowl they would start a thread like "I'm super happy the Bills won....BUT" and then go on to complain about something.
  8. I believe that for a lot of the consistently negative poster it comes down to a couple things. 1. I think it's fair to say more times then not roster moves tend to gravitate to either not working out well or being a minor improvement NFL wide. That goes for draft picks and FA signings. Statistically if you pan every move you will be right more times and can thus crow about how smart they are. And there is absolutely zero accountability for when they are wrong. Let's say someone like Harty goes off this year and has a monster season. All they have to do is say "Boy, fellas I've never been happier to be wrong." and then go on to the next move to pan. 2. I think a lot of people that are ultra negative also do so to protect their own feelings/emotions/outlooks. Lower expectations so they are mentally prepared for the worst when and if it happens. I see that with a lot of people that appear to lean way too much of their own personal happiness into team success.
  9. Good on him. Truly remarkable that he still cares enough about these ex players to help them out the way he has.
  10. There goes the second best punter this franchise has ever known. Seriously I have almost no doubt he will be back. This just starts the 6 or so week clock for him to be able to return.
  11. With the contract the Vikings just gave Hock, maybe Kelce should join Chris Jones.
  12. Didn't want to start a new thread, but here's 2 more from the Bills 90 man roster that found new homes. Really sad to see Mims go, thought he earned the PS nod before getting hurt.
  13. Perhaps she can earn some ST snaps? That's her most likely path to getting a jersey on game day IMO.
  14. Yeah, I get that impression when you allude to him basically washing out of the league in 4-5 years. Even if he someh never contributes much on defense he will have a longer career than that just on STs IMO.
  15. Sounds fun. I'll play. So in my opinion: 1. Kincaid will, I think, struggle to live up to the hype this year. A lot has been made of him so it's almost impossible to achieve what many feel he will. He will still have an impact this year, should land in the 45-55 catch 450-550 yards area and show flashes of what is to come. By the end of his career I believe he will be a yearly vote to the "Pro Bowl" and have some some NFL All Pro teams on his resume. He will see a 2nd contract in Buffalo. 2. Torrence will be steady at RG for the Bills for the next 10ish seasons. I do expect some struggles early as he continues to learn the pro game. Deserving of a second contract in Buffalo is what I expect...but the Bills may not pay it depending on cap crunch. He will be a Pro Bowl level RG and make some 2nd team All Pros by year 3. 3. Williams is a guy I like a lot. He has plus instincts and plays with violence. I think he will be consistently good but not great. I believe, however he will have a solid career with a 2nd (short) contract in Buffalo and then bounce around the league as a Kirksey level LB. 4. Shorter will have a very Jake Kumerow type career. Latch on as a primary ST guy...possible future ST Captain. This will be the Forum whipping guy by 2025. Those that don't value ST here will call him a bust and beg to have him cut while those that like ST will wax poetic about his true value to the team. He sees a second contract in Buffalo. Offensive production will be in the 15-20 catch a season average unless pressed into more action due to injury to others. The 7s- Not my concern as they are not with the Bills any longer. I do like the potential they have to be solid backups one day...and obviously the Houston Texans agree. I wish them luck and will update this if one or both find their way back to Buffalo one day.
  16. Beane made a it point in his press conf today to say that Kirksey has played in this system before and he's "by all accounts a bright guy". I think this supports you guess of Kirksey starting sooner rather than later.
  17. He was their Reid Ferguson. Relax y'all.😂😂
  18. I have to be real here. The end scene was kinda funny.
  19. Trouble with putting in a claim is that he would have to be signed to the 53 man roster and he's not ready for that. He would need to learn the playbook and get snaps and that wouldn't happen in season (the practice snaps that is). Best course is to see if he clears and sign to PS. He's still somewhat raw IMO and running the scout team would be a good start for him. I do think he's got a shot to be a plus backup.
  20. Sneaky Joe had a Tweet that was this same tone not long before this thread was made. Amazing how often that happens. Now, I'm not saying Pepe here saw it and was "inspired" but oh hey look cookies. Brb.
  21. Then it should be too much of a stretch to say this year's room is in all likelihood, better.🤷🏼‍♂️
  22. Thought Evans would be back but I suppose they liked what they saw in limited time from Johnson. Wonder where Mims ends up.
