  1. If a 330lb guard is doing the blocking on a LBer, it really doesn't make much difference if the dude is 220lbs or 240lbs. It also meant your DTs didn't do their job and keep the LBer clean. Bernard has played a whopping 110 professional snaps on defense. Anyone that is going on about how bad (or good) he will be on Monday is completely guessing.
  2. Three different levels of excitement for these announcements. 1 Torrence. Ecstatic. This was a guy I wanted Beane to draft. He's here and ready to see what he can do against a tough front 7. (Pssst...this is McD starting a rookie) 2. Benford. I like it. I like a good longshot story and for as much as Elam didn't take the CB2 job...Benford did. Rooting for the guy. 3. Bernard. Fear of the unknown. If you said last year he would be our game 1 MLB I would have been really skeptical. I do wish we could have seen him in some preseason action to get an idea of what we will get. But really, I view this as last man standing from a horrible MLB competition that is keep in Kirksey's eventual spot warm until he's full speed.
  3. I remember when it was just Len and Nick. Looked forward to that show every week.
  4. I like what they had to say about Gilliam. Really describe well what his value is on the roster. Likeable dude as well.
  5. Sad stuff but it's clear Filthy was done as a prognosticator on this forum last year and why the Chiefs forum also moved on prior.
  6. Practice and some media. Hoping to see the week 1 depth chart at some point today or tomorrow.
  7. I did not participate in the original but I will take a stab at it (No, not OJ) here. I am picking the same guy I wanted the Bills to pick in the NFL Draft. O'Cyrus Torrence. For me, this game may come down to 2 key elements. 1. Stopping QWill from getting quick penetration and 2. Having a solid and consistent run game when needed. Both are areas Torrence can make a huge difference in. I think he holds his own in his first game against a top quality DT and is the key on the front line in this game.
  8. Buddy, this isn't Chiefs Planet or whatever that wretched site calls itself. Have some class. We have compassion for other human beings over here. No matter how you feel about him as a player he's a person and his life has worth. Let's hope Roger gets what he needs and goes on to live a long eventful life.
  9. Agree. It may be his first game but those Jet CB are really good. Might be a good game to work the middle. Maybe Kincaid has a TD to save the week lol.
  10. Hmm. I have Kelce on 2 of my fantasy teams. Both teams I have Dalton Kincaid as the backup, figuring he could step in later in the season if needed. Looks like the Rook may get the start week 1.
  11. What's the under/over on plays until he pops that hammy again? 25? Not wishing bad luck on him or anything but the guy just doesn't stay on the field long.
  12. Monster size for a TE. Rams to Buffalo pipeline is becoming a thing these days, too.
  13. With quite a few options on who they could have restructured I believe they got it right. I wouldn't want them kicking the can down the road on either Dawkins or White this year.
  14. Here's the thing about this game. I know it's a week 1 game and there's a LOT of season to play...but for the Jets this is a MUST win game. Before you snicker consider the following: - Aaron Debut as a Jet - Monday night football. - At Home - On Sept 11th - Saleh and the Jets ran their mouth all off season - Media Darlings to include Hard Knocks - The many moves they made with beating Buffalo in mind This is their Super Bowl. This to them is the same as those early season games we have had against KC. Their whole off season of hype and good feelings culminates with this one game. Saleh has crowed and put the target on the Jets back. They cannot fail week 1. Furthermore, the league needs the Jets to win this game. The hype machine that was the Jets off season needs to continue so they can push the Rodgers led Jets in a large market. Anything close I expect to fall the Jets way. Sometimes, that's just the hand you're dealt. For the Bills this is just a week 1 game.Yes, it's against a division rival but Buffalo's outlook is going to be more "go 1-0 every week". And if they don't they won't panic. They will move on to the Raiders. Buffalo can (even though Vegas has them favorites) play this game with far less pressure IMO. I believe Allen, Diggs and crew will be fired up. They were lackluster (to put it mild) the last time they played a game that counted. And a fired up Allen playing to prove a point is a scary thing.
  15. NORM!!!! In all seriousness, nice write up. It's a nice place for sure with a little of everything for everyone. A nice combination of people who like statistic analysis combined with people just talking out their arses.
  16. Bragging rights. That's the valuable prize. I believe the Bills will come out in their "11.5 formation". Diggs, Davis on the outside. Kincaid in the slot. First play will be a slant to Dalton Kincaid for 6 yards. Nothing fancy. Safe completion to get Josh in a rhythm. This also gets the rookie involved early and gets him going. What say you?
  17. Not likely IMO. I believe he will do what he's always done. Flash for a play here and there and then go 6 weeks of being invisible.
  18. Yes, a duels role for sure. And a likely step up from Joe Judge last season🤣🤣
  19. For a team that reportedly had their window slam shut I see a LOT of people still picking the Bills to make the Super Bowl. And for a team that's constantly talked about...I see very very few predictions with the Jets in the Big Game. Odd.
  20. In fairness, the QB coaches in Arizona and NE are in their first year this season with the team in that capacity. The Browns Grant took over last year and while Watson looked like a pile of dung, let's not forget Jacoby Brissett actually looked like a suitable QB under Grant's coaching last year.
  21. I know you didn't ask me, but I thought it was an interesting question so I looked it up. Bills-Joe Brady- WR Patriots -BOB-Linebacker Browns-Ashton Grant - WR Steelers-Mike Sullivan -DB Titans-Charles London-RB Cardinals -Israel Woolfork-WR There were 2 more teams that didn't officially have a QB coach (both have former QBs as OC, so double duty is likely there)
  22. Valid. It will have some bearing for the first 8 weeks. However the major difference here as after Von went down...he didn't come back for the playoff run. So their defense will be vulnerable in the beginning of the season. So what? 2 of those first 8 games are against Denver. Another against the Bears. And they have enough offensive firepower to go 5-3 or 6-2 over that time IMO.
